My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 268
“JASMINE!”
“MARKUS!”
Smoke filled around the area that brought fear to Halora’s chest. She saw everything clearly and she blamed herself for failing to protect her friends.
While she crawled into the ground, she inhaled enough smoke that triggered her to cough hardly continuously.
She stopped, held her chest until she felt better and gasped for air. It was a strong explosion and she doubt it if Jasmine successfully escaped before it landed on the ground.
“J- Jasmine Where are you?”
Her voice became too soft as her body turned out to be weak because of the heavy smoke she inhaled.
She tried to find Jasmine but there was no one around. Until she saw a pair of dark shows before her eyes.
“I’d underestimated your capabilities, Halora. And I can’t deny the fact that you have still enough strength to kill me.” said Damara.
But suddenly, she lifted her right leg and stepped into Halora’s head angrily. “And to make it easier, I get rid of your worthless friends first. Did you like my surprises, don’t you?”
Halora almost tasted the ground when Damara placed her foot on her head. She silently endured the pain, breathed heavily and blinked her eyes countless times.
Until she heard Jasmine’s voice from a distant, calling for help hopelessly.
“H-help me… help me, Halora!”
“Jasmine? Please, hold on! Hold on to me, please!”
“Why don’t you get up and help your friend? Unless you’re afraid to be killed before you could save her from death!”
Damara did her best to provoke the young woman who never knew how to manipulate the power she possessed.
She smiled, kicked Halora’s stomach forcibly mercilessly. “Say something, Halora while I torture you!”
“A- ah! Ah! Ah!”
“Bogsh!”
“Bogsh!”
Halora crawled hopelessly closer to Jasmine. But Damara stopped her before she could make a move and turn the table upside down.
Her beautiful face covered with dirt, her eyes turned darker as it filled with vengeance and eagerness.
“Stay… stay with me, Jasmine. I… I will save you, I promise.” she thought.
But even how hard she tried to stand from the ground, Damara was right there, torturing a hopeless young witch by her bare hands and strengths.
“My weak adherents hasn’t come back yet and that only means… they were still fighting against your boyfriend.”
“Stay away from him, Damara! If you truly want the ring of darkness, then I’ll give it to you if only you’ll let me save my friend.”
Halora has finally thought a plan. She wasn’t sure if it was the right thing to do, but she couldn’t either lose anyone of her friends anymore- never again.
She must convince Damara once again that she possessed the real ring. If it failed, the lives of other people would be in vain forever.
“Don’t try to fool me again, Halora. This time, I won’t let you live and I will kill all of you the way I want to.”
Damara learned a lesson from the last time she was fooled by a nobody girl in front of hundreds of people.
Until now, she couldn’t forget how humans laughed at her like she was a woman with no ambitions.
As darkness surrounded the whole campus, it was clear that a creature who lived and knew how to survive would accomplish her desires over a person who feared it from the beginning.
With certainies in her eyes, Halora gulped deeply. She knew she was wearing a fake ring and it would be the end for her life.
Nonetheless, for the sake of everyone’s safety, she gambled once again, proving that even a weak entity could save someone from the edge of death.
“I will never…,” said Halora as she quickly stood from the ground despite being beaten up. “I didn’t mean to negotiate with you at this moment, Damara.”
Right then, Halora lifted her head and looked closely at the enemy who seemed startled by her determination.
She didn’t know that she was capable of convincing anyone through words and actions.
In return, Damara gritted her teeth, gawking at Halora’s tantalizing brown eyes. Every time she looked at those, she remembered the good memories of her sister.
But, she caused a lot of trouble since she turned her back that day. No one could ever rewrite her destiny when she chose the wrong path because of hatred, jealousy and lust for power.
And even if it was against all odds and ends, Damara would always chase the peak of every mountain until she captured one of it.
She quickly closed her fists, took a deep breath and was about to attack Halora when she felt a strong, drowning energy that landed on her chest.
Damara laughed bitterly, “Why is it hard to kill you, Halora? Your parents didn’t allow you to be a vicious witch like what I’ve become!”
Halora leaped from one spot to another, escaping Damara’s dreadful strike. Her powerful fingers must be cut into pieces and it would be an advantage for Halora.
“Die! Die! Just like your mother, die Halora! Die!”
“You can’t stop me from killing you either, Damara! I was born to be a warrior and I will use my power in a good way!”
Halora screamed at the top of her lungs and picked a dagger that she had kept.
“Goodbye, Damara. It’s my honor to meet you for the last time.” said Halora and deepened the dagger to her stomach.
Blood dribbled and splashed continuously from Damara’s stomach. Slowly, she caught off guard until she fell into the ground, shocked and terrified.
She couldn’t believe how Halora moved too fast before her eyes. And she didn’t notice that she prepared herself for a fierce attack.
“H-how… how did you know that strategy? How… how did-”
“Don’t speak, Damara. If you won’t do so, I will never hesitate to cut your tongue with this dagger.”
Halora has entirely changed when she saw how her friends suffered. Pain and eagerness lead her to trust her inner core.
From then on, she walked away from Damara to help Jasmine. She got bruises on her face but fortunately, there were no severe injuries at all.
“A-are you okay, Jasmine? T-tell me!” Halora asked her.
But the moment Jasmine looked behind her, a sharp weapon flew into the air and the next thing that happened was merely heartbreaking.
“S-Se-Sebastian!”
A terrified voice sounded around when they both realized that Sebastian appeared out of nowhere and saved Halora from a painful death.
