My Boyfriend Is A Campus Bad Boy - Chapter 270
Tears dripped continuously into her cheeks. Her uniform was covered with bloodstained, closing her fists in anger.
“No! You can’t leave me like this, Sebastian!”
Halora put his head on her lap and caressed his pale, yet warm face. She couldn’t find any strength to scream and curse Damara who was laughing evilly from a distance.
Her hands soaked in blood of a man she cared the most. The whole time, he protected her from the bullies and let her entered into his peaceful life.
Every time she reminisced all good memories with him, it fluttered her heart effortlessly. But now that he’s dead, there was no chance of reviving his life.
“H-he’s n-not breathing anymore, Halora!” said Jasmine after she took his wrist and checked the alpha’s pulse.
Jasmine’s body shook and her knees turned numb. If only she quickly stood and saw Damara before she attacked Halora, she should’ve saved Sebastian.
“It was all my fault. Blame me, Halora! Blame me for being weak and because you tried to save me, Sebastian… Sebastian was killed!”
Guilt drowned her into a deep, eerie part of a dark, isolated place. Her face covered with tears, waiting for Halora’s painful words and accusations.
Yet, no one dared to speak and Halora endured the pain by herself. Mourning and weeping, she closed her fists furiously.
She must put an end to the ruling of evil creatures for how many years. It was about time to eliminate bad people and let the swelling, bright light enlightened everyone’s beliefs and minds.
Her existence has a purpose, and that what kept her alive despite the danger and risks. Halora has finally opened her eyes, believed and trusted her abilities because of Sebastian’s sudden, tragic death.
“If I killed her earlier, it should’ve over before I saved you, Jasmine. This is all my fault! I… I failed to protect him like he always did for me!” she grotesquely said that startled Jasmine.
Halora looked at the dead alpha before her eyes. She quickly wiped off the tears that was about to fall, and looked away from a heartbreaking sight.
“If… I won’t kill you according to my plan, it’s a bittersweet revenge after killing your beloved boyfriend.” spoke Damara from afar.
But her stomach was still covered with blood even if she successfully pulled out the knife that Halora used to stabbed her stomach.
Her dark face turned pale like a radish, yet, she pretended to be strong and unharmed by the opponent’s attack.
Damara stood straight despite the wound that took away most of her strength. Inside of it, she felt a painful and unexplainable feeling that she had never felt before.
With a bitter smile on her face, she laid her weary eyes on Halora. She said, “You’re smart, Halora. That’s why I didn’t notice that you’re armed with a knife.”
“When you stabbed it deeply into my stomach, I felt a strong sensation that nearly traumatized my nerves and veins.”
“I possessed the ring of darkness and for the first time, I used it to make uncurable poison.” Halora replied coldly.
For a long time, she suffered without anyone beside her. And after horrifying storms and rains, she met Sebastian, Roy, Markus, Zenith and Jasmine.
The emptiness in her heart was filled because of the people who came at the moment where she was ready to surrender.
And because of her confession, Damara widened her eyes and stumbled upon at the moment of truth and death.
She gulped, swallowed every fluid on her mouth. “I-it… It can’t be!” she exclaimed fearfully.
“There’s no point of sympathizing an evil witch who killed my loved ones. You’ve opened my eyes, Damara and the moment you hit his chest perfectly, a strong energy flowed into my body.”
Halora’s presence became too powerful than what everyone thought. Her brown, innocent eyes filled with anger and resentment. Her heart knew the true meaning of vengeance and before the enemy could blink her eyes, she would probably finish the battle by her bare hands.
Slowly, she walked closer to her aunt who looked at her frighteningly. Damara suddenly remembered the moment she touched and carried Halora when she was a little girl.
On that day, she felt the same energy when she attained the most powerful ring. Since then, she began to hate the innocent child until the right time came.
Even though she succeeded before, Damara never forgot the child who possessed a different energy since she was born.
“You are a threat since Herathesia born you, Halora. I knew your kindness would kill a strong predator silently.” said Damara exhaustingly.
There was no time left and she knew he lost so much blood. If Halora was telling the truth, the poison must have scattered though out her body.
And the only thing to cure her was the spell within the ring of darkness itself.
Damara suddenly fell into her knees before Halora. She bowed her head, burst into tears like a slave who committed a lot of mistakes.
In her hopes, she thought it was the best way to fool the young woman and forgive her easily.
“I know your weaknesses, Halora! Even if I die, I will bring you with me!” she thought while she pretended to be guilty and naïve.
“P-please, I… I am begging you, Halora! Forgive me, forgive me as I committed a finite sin!”
She begged for mercy and did her best to convince Halora. But even how hard she tried to ask for forgiveness, it was too late for mercy and kindness.
Silently, Halora picked up the knife from the ground. The tip of it was covered with blood- blood of a cruel enemy.
Halora stooped closer and gripped the handle tightly. If she would let her escape, Sebastian’s sacrifices would be only a vain and worthless.
Whatever happened, she must end it through killing Damara by any means and now that she got the chance, she was bound to complete her ultimate mission.
“Look at me, Damara.” she said shortly that shocked the pitiful witch on the ground.
“P-please… please, have mercy on me, Halora! I… I wasn’t supposed to kill him and you know that!” Damara reached for hands as she persuaded her.
Halora gritted her teeth, listening to her alibis and errands. “D-don’t touch… d-don’t touch me, you freak!”
There was no time left for both of them. Sebastian was killed by Damara because of her and she will never forgive herself if she won’t get the justice he deserved.
For a moment, she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. If killing is a sin, then why it is one of the easiest ways to all living creatures?
“You’re the reason why it ended tragically, Damara!”
“Because of you… because of you, I lost the man I want to be the father of my children!”
And right then, she lifted her arms upward. Halora’s face wrapped with anger and hatred but before she killed Damara, she met her gaze and a bright smile flashed on her pale lips.
Damara said, “I surrender, Halora. I am now giving you this ring- the ring you deserved to hold and to keep.”
Slowly, her weak body fell on the ground with her eyes wide open and Halora was left speechless.
Without a blink of an eye, she glanced up at the dark sky as tears flowed down into her cheeks.
“Forgive me… Forgive me, as I failed to protect you until the end, Sebastian.” she whispered to the cold wind, embraced herself until everyone came.
Markus and Roy couldn’t utter a single word the moment they saw Sebastian’s corpse on the ground. They wanted to save him, yet it was all over now.
“Halora…,” said Jasmine as she tapped her heavy shoulder.
“He’s gone, Jasmine. He will never come back to my arms anymore and it’s killing me! It’s breaking my heart apart!”
Halora regretfully until she knelt on the ground, touched her stomach until she hit her heart that was embraced by sadness and guilt.
Suddenly, a wind caught her attention. It was different and while she was crying, Halora felt someone’s warm embrace that will never be felt forever.
“Cry until you realize that I’d never leave your side, Halora. I will always be right here, watching you from afar.”
And before the warm embrace vanished, she heard Sebastian’s voice whispered into her ears.
“I love you, Halora. Til’ we meet again.”
