My Career is Useless in this World!! - Chapter 208
Episode 201 – Blood with good intentions or blood with bad intentions.
Euria paused for a few seconds before answering, “To make you unable to betray the organization. If you do not follow Exitium’s orders, you will be met with a trial between life and death. 99% of the people die when they go into this trial. However, there have been people who have passed this trial who then become more powerful than they were before the trial began.”
Darius studied Euria’s facial expression carefully because he saw an unknown emotion flashed by Euria’s face when she explained this to him.
Euria leaned back on her chair, “Don’t worry. You won’t have to go through this trial if you choose to betray Exitium. Of course, you can choose to go through it willingly and become stronger. Whatever you wish to do.”
“You want me to die?” There was speechlessness on Darius’s facial expression. Not to mention, he did not agree to betray the organization yet! Why was Euria talking as if he was going to betray them?
Euria’s eyes met with his and with a raised brow she said, “Well… Knowing you, you probably won’t die.” She blinked and repeated, “Probably.”
Darius pursed his lips and thought back to her words, “Why can I choose not to go through this trial?” He asked, with a voice filled with confusion. She said that he won’t have to go through this trial but also said that he can choose to go through it as well?
Euria responded, “It is possible to remove the blood you ingested using a safe method which I can perform when my physical body is older. Or you can take a faster option, again, with the cost of a small portion of your life.”
“… Wait… blood?” The… red potion he took was blood?
‘Ah’ Euria mouthed. She cleared her throat and said, “The red potion is your Master’s blood.” She forgot that Darius would find out about the whole blood thing very late in the game. And when he found out, he would be disgusted by the idea.
“Is that what elder wants my sister to ingest?!” His voice was slightly raised as his eyes showed a trace of anger! He has since connected the two dots together. Red potion, red liquid. They were all the same damn thing!
“….” Euria gulped. “The… method with ‘safe’ intentions also involves your sister swallowing blood… -cough-”
“….” Darius looked at Euria blankly. His eyes were narrowed down as he stared at her disapprovingly. Ingesting blood from another human being? What vile thing does she want his sister to do?!
“It is up to you to choose whatever method you want. Whether it be blood with good intentions or blood with bad intentions.” Euria shrugged before stating, “But first, bring me to the Raden, to the teleportation circle as planned. There’s something I have to do.” Her eyes looked very serious as if there was something she had to do there no matter what and as if she was going to cause trouble to the organization.
“…” Darius stared at Euria in speechlessness. For real, he did not say he was going to betray his organization yet. Why was she ordering him around already? Darius couldn’t help but roll his eyes.
‘Whatever. Let the Miss do whatever she wants to.’ He thought to himself quietly. He wasn’t going to care about what she has plans or what she wants to do anymore. Just that…
“Will this affect my sister?” She can do whatever she wants, however, he will stop her if she does something that would make the organization target his sister.
Euria shook her head, “You will not yet be betraying anyone. I will simply only go on a rampage and you will just be unable to stop me.”
“…” Fine.
The conversation ended there and Darius soon left Euria’s room. By that time, her tea had already gone cold and she couldn’t be bothered to drink more tea anymore. She picked up the daisy that had been in her cup for at least an hour now and brought it close to her face. If anyone saw how Euria looked at this moment, they would’ve frozen in horror due to how terrifying her expression looked.
The daisy in her hand was crushed between her fingers and made into a paste-like consistency as her mind wandered around. Only when she stopped thinking that she ceased in her action and simply wiped her hand with a handkerchief.
She turned to the beautiful blue sky and sighed,
‘I miss you, sister.’ I really do.

Eugene and Con arrived at the border between Xenperia and Zene. They were here for one purpose and that purpose was to get the children Euria had trained and bring them as reinforcement. Before they traveled here, they made sure to get a clear map of where the gold was in Raden from Ron, just in case they had to travel to Raden as well. They also made sure Ron was safe with the mercenaries and also repeatedly warned the mercenaries to never lose sight of Ron because when that happens, Ron would end up at the other end of the continent. And this situation may or may not have happened once before.
Just as they were about to arrive in the secret place, Eugene and Con suddenly slowed down. The air surrounding the place they stepped foot into felt off and they also felt a strange sensation radiating from all over them. It felt like they were surrounded by many experts which made them raise their guards and alarm up to 100%.
“Who are you?” A spine-chilling voice spoke out from at least 20 meters away from them. Eugene had trained with her ears with Aernest and hearing things from 20 meters away was considered her max radius. But because her guard was completely raised up, she was able to hear whoever spoke as clear as day.
“Why are you in our backyard?” Another voice spoke out. This time, it belonged to a girl. The moment she finished speaking, however, was when Eugene exhaled in relief. She had thought that she walked straight into Exitium who had been lurking around, and felt relieved immediately when she heard ‘backyard’. Because whose backyard could this be other than the children Euria hid?
Eugene stepped forward but once she did that, murderous intent headed straight towards her from all sides. As if they were going to attack if she moved again.
“I am Euria’s sister. Eugeneia.”
The aura dimmed down a bit but did not completely dissipate.
“What’s the code?” The first voice who spoke out asked her.
“… code?” Eugene blinked blankly. What code?
“If you are truly that person’s sister, what is the code?” The voice repeated.
“… … … Wait a minute please.” That was what Eugene said before ruffling through her bag to retrieve a huge envelope filled with a stack of papers. At first, Eugene rummaged through the letters while standing up, but because she could not find whatever code the person asked for, she squatted down and began going through the letters one by one frantically.
“What does that person like the most?” A voice belonging to someone else spoke. Probably because he couldn’t bear waiting for a long time.
Eugene replied without hesitation, “Me.”
“What does that person hate the most?”
“Leader of Exitium.” She replied almost instantly but then thought for a minute before responding again, “… Vegetables?”
“…” No one replied to her. However, there were sounds of people shifting and shuffling around all at once from far away. Following that, many youths, and some children appeared in front of Eugene and Con.
“Lady Eugeneia. We have been expecting you.”
“…” Expecting?
The oldest one of the group stepped up with a small smile, “We have heard a lot from our teacher. She told us if Lady needs help one day, to help without hesitation. To put our lives on the line without hesitation.” he explained.
“…” Eugene didn’t know how to respond to what he just said. Not to mention, there was one child who appeared very suddenly in front of her. The child appeared to not have a growth spurt like her, hence she reached around Eugene’s nose when she stood in front of her.
“I heard you killed our father. Thank you very much.” She said when suddenly the atmosphere dimmed down tremendously. The girl did not seem to notice this and continued to bow at Eugene.
The older child who appeared to be the age of 15 walked to his sister and patted her head. He turned to Eugene and bowed with his sister, “Truly. Thank you.”
Eugene pursed her lips and hesitated, “… I don’t know if Euria told you this but it was an accident when that happened.” Who would know that her blood would kill Kal off just like that?
The boy smiled, “Yes we do know. She complained about that quite often when she visited us in secret. Nevertheless, we are still grateful.. Because of Lady, we did not become mere puppets for that person to control.”
