My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 423: A Fraction Of Power
“You continue moving forward with everyone else, and Xi Meili will go with me to hunt the boars; it won’t take long.” Yuan then hurled the sword into the air, where it levitated, defying the laws of nature.
Except for Anna, Grace, Emma, Xi Meili, Rose, Lily, Julie, Ava, and Leah, everyone else was visibly shocked to find the sword levitating in the air without any support; even the powerful mages were taken aback because they couldn’t detect any mana from the weapon.
Ignoring the people’s confused and startled looks, Yuan gazed at Xi Meili before climbing onto his sword, which was levitating in the air. “Xi Meili, let’s go and accomplish this job as soon as possible!”
“I am ready. Let us go!” Xi Meili exclaims with a nod, and her body begins to levitate against the laws of physics.
“T-Th-Are they flying? They are flying!!”
Someone shouted in disbelief, prompting everyone to glance at Yuan and Xi Meili with disbelief on their faces.
Booommm! A massive sonic boom erupted as Yuan and Xi Meili rocketed into the sky at breakneck speed, easily breaking the sound barrier.
In the flash of an eye, both Xi Meili and Yuan’s images vanished from people’s eyes, leaving them perplexed by what had just happened; they refused to believe their own eyes.
Shortly, the entire large group of people was filled with astonished murmurs from individuals who had observed the sight firsthand.
“D-Did he just flies into the sky with that lovely lady?”
“I can’t believe I’m seeing someone soar into the sky with my own eyes; I’ve never heard of anyone doing it before.”
“My eyes must be misleading me; it is impossible for someone to fly freely in the sky; even a Grand Mage cannot accomplish such a feat!”
“We’re not seeing things right now. We are witnessing the reality; that young man did fly into the sky with the gorgeous woman with horns.”
Anna and Grace shook their heads as they heard the numerous murmurs that began to arise among the stunned folks who couldn’t believe their eyes.
“I can’t believe beloved would fly with his sword in front of so many people…willn’t it attract a lot of attention?” Grace couldn’t understand why Yuan would demonstrate his power to fly with his flying sword in front of so many people when they were attempting to keep their skills hidden.
“Well, my dear sometimes acts without thinking; he must have been so thrilled to hunt those Blood Fang Boars that he forgot to hide his powers from others,” Anna replied with a deep sigh, a helpless smile appearing on her face as everyone looked at them.
Then her gaze shifted to Mireya, Sylvia, and Valeria, who were astounded to see Yuan could fly.
“Are you astonished that Yuan and Xi Meili can fly?” They were startled awake when they heard Anna’s voice behind them.
“Mother-in-law, Anna…” Mireya and Valeria murmured as they turned around to see Anna smiling playfully at them.
“How? How could Yuan and Xi Meili fly so rapidly, and he vanished from our sight in the flash of an eye?” Sylvia, unable to suppress her curiosity, inquired, hoping Anna would answer her questions.
Not only Sylvia but Mireya and Valeria were fascinated as to how Yuan and Xi Meili could fly. However, they were disappointed because Anna had no intention of telling them right now.
Anna was acutely aware of her surroundings and could feel many eyes on her; she couldn’t afford to reveal such sensitive information in front of so many people.
Even though she won’t say anything right now, she utilizes her aura to suppress the magical energy and keep it away from them, as the mages may employ unusual magic spells to listen to their conversations.
—
Yuan and Xi Meili arrived half a kilometer away from the group and appeared in front of the Blood Fang Boars in the blink of an eye, floating above them.
“They’re so big and fatty, their meat will undoubtedly be wonderful! Sister Valeria did not deceive me; I should thank her later.” Xi Meili shouts with glittering eyes, her gaze riveted on the boars searching for medical herbs, and she drools. “Indeed.” Yuan nodded, allowing Xi Meili’s smile to broaden.
“They’d definitely taste amazing if you didn’t season the meat with spices and instead used just salt and black pepper,” Yuan added a moment later, licking the corner of his lips.
Xi Meili nodded, drooling profusely, and asked, “Should we start the massacre and return quickly?”
‘Slaughtering them would severely damage the flesh and waste a lot of meat, as well as reduce the value of their hide, so we need to come up with a concept that is both effective and does not harm the boars too much.’ Yuan realized right away after hearing Xi Meiki’s statements that he didn’t want to hurt the boar too much and reduce its value.
But which strategy will be most effective in killing the boars with the leastamount ofdamage? I do not suppose I have such a techniquewith meright now.’Yuan thought seriously.
“We need to be careful when killing them; we need to kill them with as little harm as possible,”Yuan said Xi Meili before lowering to the ground a few meters away from the group of boars, not wanting to shock them and cause them to flee.
“How about I utilize my dragon aura to render them unconscious, Hubby?”Xi Meili inquired excitedly.
“That would be great, Sweetheart. Please use your aura to render them unconscious sothat Ican kiss them with as little damage as possible.”Yuan loved XiMeili’ssuggestion of using her Primordia Dragon aura to render the boars comatose.
Yuanwas convincedthat the Primordial Dragon Bloodline would overwhelm the Bood Fang Boars and cause them to fall instantly.
Even if the boar could handle the bloodlike suppression of anormaldragon, they would be unable to handle the bloodline suppression of a Primordial Dragon.
“Okay, sweetheart, you can use your aura on them now.”Yuan quickly stored his Empyreal Oblivion within his system storage, and another long sword materialized in his palm.
<Blue Spirit Sword>
<Grade: Heaven>
<Quality: Peak>
<Description: A sword with an extremely sharp edge, able to cut metals like butter.>
Yuan studied thedescription of the swordthat he had randomly taken out of his system storage, and a satisfied grin came on his face.
“This is the ideal weapon for the job… This sword could readily reach theboars’hearts without causing significant harm to the board.”Yuan smiled as he strengthened his grasp on thesword’shandle, ready for action.
*Bang!* A powerful ancient power surge exploded from XiMeili’sbody, spreading hundreds of meters surrounding her.
Every monster or living thingthatis putunder pressure freezes in dread and quickly loses consciousness as the pressure increases a hundredfold; no one can withstand such vast and ancient pressure.
“Hubby, you may go ahead and kill them now. I utilized only a fraction of my bloodline power to render them unconscious so you could kill them.”Xi Meili exclaimed as she successfully rendered the boars comatose.
‘Afraction of her bloodline power is more than rendered SS-
rank monstersinto unconscious state…I wonder what would happen if she unleashed herfullstrength against the monsters.’Yuan swallowedanxiouslyas he saw all seventeen Blood Fang Bores lying unconscious on the ground.
“Hubby, do not waste your time pondering. Remember, Mother-
in-law Anna and Mother-in-law Grace would be upset with us for being late.”Xi Meili interrupted his thought, reminding himthat theydid not have time to squander here.
“Don’tworry,I’lltake care of it right now.”Yuan smiled as he vanished from where hewas standingand appeared beside one of the comatose boars.
“It’shere…the heart!”Yuan utilized his divine sense to locate theboar’sheart, then pointed the tip of his sword at it before piercing theboar’schest and heart.
The boar was already unconscious when it died underYuan’shands. On top of that, the blade was so sharp that itdidn’teven notice when it entered his body.
Yuan killed all seventeen boars in a matter of seconds. Every boar had a minor wound on their chest as a result of Yuan stabbing them, but they had no additional wounds.
“Xi Meili, retrieve your aura; I have killed everysinglepig in the group.”Yuan quickly swung his blade to remove the blood that had stuck to it and stored it in his system storage.
Xi Meili nodded, immediately retrieved her aura into her body, and approached Yuan with a big smile.”Xi Meili will have wonderful boar meat today!I’mvery happy! Thank you, Hubby!”She yelled enthusiastically and jumped at him, a broad grin on her face.
“Yes, we shall have a feast today,”Yuan grabbed his cute wife and hugged herlovingly, while Xi Meili threw her arms around his neck, a delighted smile on her face.
Then Yuan exchanged a passionate kiss with Xi Meili before storing all the boars he had killed in his system storage.
There is no influence of time inside the system storage, so the meat will not deteriorate andwillremain fresh even if he removes it hundreds of years later, ensuring that they will always have fresh meat.
“Nowlet’sget back to the gang,”Yuan stated before pulling his sword from his system storage, flinging it into the air, and jumping on it.
Xi Meili nodded and began to rise in the air, and they soon soared back in the direction they came from.
Yuan used his divine sense to pinpoint the exact location of his mother and the groups, and shortly after they returned to the group, he stood before them unexpectedly, shocking everyone except his wives.
