My Celestial Ascension - Chapter 468: Mysterious Statue
However, before entering the portal, Yuan looked at his wives and said, “Let’s grab each other’s hands so we don’t get separated by accident, okay?”
“That would be wonderful, darling. This way, we will save quite a lot of time too!” Anna exclaimed excitedly like a child and quickly grabbed Yuan’s hand after exchanging a quick glance with Grace.
“Darling~!” Grace made a pitiful expression and hugged his other hand between her twin peaks, pressing her massive breasts against his hand.
Feeling her boobs pressing against him, Yuan couldn’t help but enjoy the sensation, smiling warmly before chuckling at the two.
Then Grace and Anna grabbed their daughters-in-law’s hands and walked forward with confident looks on their faces. Before anyone could say anything, they entered the portal.
“What?!” People were dumbfounded to see Yuan and his wives enter the portal without any resistance. They could hardly believe it.
“What the hell! How is that even possible?”
“Can anyone explain to me how they managed to get inside the portal?”
“It seems there is no resistance from the portal… we may now be able to enter as well…”
“Really? Let’s go and try immediately!”
The entire area was filled with whispers as people, seeing Yuan and his wives enter, hoped they too could get inside the portal. Unfortunately for them, they didn’t heed Yuan’s earlier words and made fools of themselves as the portal wouldn’t let them enter.
“What the hell! The barrier is up again!”
“We can’t enter the portal! But how is this possible?!”
People began to complain as they couldn’t enter the portal, and the situation quickly became chaotic as many grew very angry.
‘Damn it! How the hell did that bastard manage to enter the portal? And what the hell is with this portal?’ Arthur screamed inwardly in frustration as he stared at the portal. He noticed Valeria, Mireya, and Sylvia waiting beside it.
“Why didn’t they enter the portal with that bastard and his other women? Weren’t they supposed to be together with him?” Arthur looked at them with a puzzled expression, wondering why they didn’t enter the portal with him.
“Whatever… it doesn’t concern me.” Arthur then walked away, signaling his guards to follow him.
“Hmm?” King Richard and Crown Prince Daniel raised their brows seeing Arthur leave with his guards, but they didn’t try to stop him as they also didn’t like his personality.
Once they were distanced from King Richard and the others, one of the Holy Knights approached Arthur and asked, “Your Highness, don’t you think that bastard is planning to take possession of all the treasures inside the secret chamber that Archmage Isadora discovered?”
“I’m sure he did something to the portal. Otherwise, why couldn’t others enter while he and his women could?” Another Holy Knight added, showing a fuming expression.
Another Holy Knight nodded. “Indeed. There is no way that portal would restrict others from entering for no reason. It doesn’t make any sense at all!”
“Sigh! I also think the same…” Arthur sighed, trying to calm his anger. “Unfortunately for us, we can’t do anything to him. He is too powerful, and without him, we may end up dead the next day.”
“But after what he did to us, are you sure we can let him go?” one of the Holy Knights questioned.
Arthur shook his head, gritting his teeth in frustration, and somehow managed to control his composure.
“I don’t mean that… we will use him until we complete the mission and get out of this godforsaken forest. Until then, we have to maintain our calm and wait for the right moment to come,” Arthur said.
“For now, don’t show any sign of hatred toward that bastard until we get out of this damn place, you understand?”
“We understand, Your Highness!” The Holy Knights nodded together.
Meanwhile, Yuan and his wives stepped into a grand, spacious room with strange markings on the walls. The room was dark, and their divine sense stopped working upon entering the portal.
Yuan and his wives had no idea what was inside this massive chamber, but he could see an unclear view of a massive statue at the other end.
“What is this place? Why isn’t our divine sense working here?” Anna muttered with a confused look, unable to use her divine sense no matter how hard she tried.
“The walls of the chamber are made from a special kind of stone that can only be found in the Sixth Heaven or above, making our divine sense useless inside,” Xi Meili quickly responded after carefully examining the chamber and recognizing the rocks used to make the walls.
“Sixth Heaven, huh? This chamber indeed has some connection with the Nine Heavens. This is very surprising!” Yuan exclaimed with an amused expression, feeling that he was getting closer to discovering a pathway back to Earth.
But he knew very well that it might take many years, and for now, he could do nothing but find more clues about the Nine Heavens. Only then would he be able to return to Earth.
Yuan’s gaze then moved toward the massive statue at the other end of the chamber, feeling drawn to it, as if the statue was calling him.
‘What kind of statue is this? Why do I keep getting a familiar feeling from it? And why is there a creepy black mask covering its face?’ Yuan wondered, staring at the statue with a dazed look.
The statue had a very weird, creepy black mask covering its face. The figure of the statue was quite lean and not very muscular, similar to Yuan but a more mature version of him.
The statue was adorned with a beautiful piece of armor that had intricate patterns and designs on it. The entire attire looked outstanding, almost out of this world, as if the statue was preparing for war.
Yuan’s eyes then landed on a strange object floating between the statue’s palms. Due to the darkness, Yuan couldn’t clearly see the object, as it was black, but he could still make out the bright golden markings on it.
“Whoa! That statue is quite massive—why is its face covered with such a weird mask?” Lily muttered, her curiosity about the statue increasing because of the odd mask.
“Indeed. That mask and the statue are quite weird. I’ve never seen armor like that before,” Rose said in a dazed voice, baffled by the mysterious statue’s appearance.
Grace noticed her son staring at the statue with a dazed look and quickly became concerned. “Darling, are you feeling alright? Why are you staring at the statue like that?”
“Huh… Ah, it’s nothing,” Yuan came out of his daze upon feeling the warmth of his mother’s embrace and gave her a reassuring smile. “I was just attracted by the object floating between the statue’s palms.”
He pointed to the object floating between the statue’s palms, defying gravity.
“Indeed, there is something floating!” Grace exclaimed, her eyes sparkling upon seeing the strange object.
Upon hearing Grace’s loud exclamation, everyone else focused their gaze on the object floating in the air between the statue’s palms. They immediately became curious about the strange object.
“What kind of object is that?” Lily muttered, curiosity evident in her voice.
“I think that’s a soul weapon…!” Xi Meili responded after staring at the object for a moment.
Her response left the group speechless; they never thought they would find a soul weapon in a place like this.
However, a few of them were confused as they didn’t know anything about soul weapons, as Yuan had never explained it to them.
“Um, Yuan, what is a soul weapon?” Leah pulled Yuan’s sleeve and asked with a puzzled look on her face.
Yuan sighed and began explaining soul weapons and spirit weapons to her. Leah listened very carefully, and so did Rose, Julie, and Ava, as they were also clueless about soul weapons.
“I see… I never imagined that such powerful and unique weapons would exist in this world,” Rose muttered in disbelief, and the same could be said for the other three as well.
Julie then curiously asked, “Yuan, does that mean the sword you always use is a soul weapon?”
“That’s right,” Yuan nodded and retrieved Empyreal Oblivion from his system storage, showing it to them. “This sword is indeed a soul weapon.”
“This sword certainly has a profound aura around it. It’s quite unique compared to the other sisters’ weapons,” Leah said, amazed by Empyreal Oblivion’s appearance up close.
Once Yuan stored the sword back in his system storage, he walked forward and approached the statue, his wives following him.
Upon arriving close to the statue, Yuan could finally see the object floating in the air clearly.
“It’s a dagger…” Yuan muttered in a low voice, captivated by its beauty.
The dagger had a beautiful golden pattern on its dark, abyss-
like body, as if it was trying to devour the light, making it appear so dark that even light couldn’t escape from it.
“It’s beautiful…” Anna muttered in a low voice, fascinated by the unique appearance of the dagger floating between the palms of the statue.
“Such a beautiful dagger… I’ve never seen anything like it before,” Rose said, her voice filled with astonishment.
“This dagger… It’s so beautiful, it’s like the finest piece of art created by a godly figure…” Ava slowly approached the statue and tried to take the dagger, stretching her arm forward.
However, a profound aura suddenly appeared and pushed Ava’s hand away from the dagger, making her feel as though someone was watching her every move.
