My Ceo Harem Cultivation System - Chapter 295: Intervention From Above
“Ahem.” Elizabeth Hawthorne cleared her throat and averted her gaze. It was rare for her to see someone smile remarkably as most fled in her presence. “My ability to understand your situation is trifle, but this is unimportant. If I recall, you must be departing soon?”
It was a disappointing thing to recall, but she couldn’t get this enthralled. And yet beauty was something that drew her eyes back to the man’s face as she awaited his answer. Someone like him probably had a person waiting for him, didn’t he?
“Yes, I can’t stay here at all.” Li Yang replied.
“I understand.” Elizabeth nodded back. “As to how you arrived here… will you be using the same method to return to where you come from?”
Li Yang shook his head. “Not really. It wasn’t my intention to be here and I was instead summoned?” He glanced at Bao for answers.
“Something like that.” Bao shrugged and frowned at why it was answering the questions. “I think it was a failed method of summoning because you ended up here instead, not too far from home. You can probably swim all the way back to your city.”
“Swim?” Li Yang frowned. “Are you telling me that we’re still on earth?”
When Li Yang left after meeting up with his family, it was still around lunch time at most.
It was a great contrast to the dark skies above them right now so unless Bao expected him to swim like some Mermaid and get ahold of Narissa’s Undine Skills again, he doubted his capacity to do so.
“Earth. Ah, yes, that is how it is referred to now, isn’t it?” Elizabeth clasped her fingers together and then sighed aloud. “How times have quickly changed, but yes, I can confirm that I reside in this world now populated densely by your kind.”
“Where exactly is this place?” Li Yang frowned as he glanced at his surroundings. There was the old castle in the distance but besides the garden labyrinth and the alcoves of trees that encircled them… Li Yang couldn’t see anything else.
“Perhaps you may take the chance to figure it out for yourself?”
When Li Yang thought about how his own city was filled and had a number of cultivators around, that there was a place in the depths that held the Undine folks, an afterlife realm and he’d seen other notable creatures in the bar where he met up with Narissa… the man took mythology and lore as he stared at the Vampire.
“Are we in Romania?” Li Yang asked and wondered if this was just a deserted area that most people stayed away from.
“Do you speak of my two-hearted brethren? I recall some Strigoi that have once visited these lands of my ancestors in the past, but no. I do not dwell in that nation.”
Li Yang tried to think about it more and decided that it was not in Asia, or else it would have still been afternoon. “My assumption is that we’re in Europe at least. I doubt that you’re some kind of Jiangshi.”
“Jiangshi?” Elizabeth tilted her head and looked up at him. “Curious name. Are they like my people?”
“If I were to explain it, they’re reanimated corpses. They hop around… supposedly.”
“Fascinating,” Elizabeth said as her gaze twinkled lightly. “But you’re right, that’s not me. You cannot see me bouncing about at all. That’s quite an inconvenient method of traveling, the land from which you come from sounds quite unique.”
“I suppose you could say that, we have a long and proud history as well as a method to grow stronger that is unlike others.” Li Yang pulled out his System’s screen and despite the ongoing conversation, knew he couldn’t be distracted. “Well… I guess my only option is using the World Warper again.”
“Very convenient.” Bao rolled its eyes. “How about we just restrict that now? Take a jump off the cliff for starters.”
“What?” Li Yang glanced at the Panda with a frown. “I have no intention of attempting to finish an Odyssey Quest if that’s what you intend to give me again. Ying Yue He’s waiting for me and I intend to keep my promise to her. I’ve already delayed myself long enough.”
“Ah,” Elizabeth found herself feeling like the very shadows that coalesced around her form. She shouldn’t have been surprised and yet a slight ebb of disappointment gathered within her.
It was offensive as to how a normal human and a cursed Panda could interact without being once in awe of the fact that Elizabeth was a Vampire. Quite frustrating.
“Here’s what I’ve gathered from a recent survey.” Bao tossed a new screen at Li Yang to which the man tried to dodge—but it just ended up floating in front of his face.

“…You had something like this?” Li Yang asked with a frown. Now it seemed more like a reality now that he could see what they wanted from him.
Whether he actually did them was another question entirely.
“If you actually read their comments, then you would have seen it before.” Bao rolled its eyes. “So look at that. While you’re benefiting from the illegal Patch Updates, you’re going to get punished soon enough.”
“…Punished?” Li Yang raised a brow. “An odd term to use as I am aware that this ‘System’ is a supposedly lifetime deal until other events change it. And even if that were the case, I’m still going to use the Warper now.”
Right before Li Yang could do it though, he was bombarded with new incoming notifications on his screen.
