My Ceo Harem Cultivation System - Chapter 313: Shou Temple Sect (1)
“No,” Li Yang said. The people all around him looked baffled at his answer and even Taiga’s jaw dropped a little bit because he didn’t go along with what the others wished. He wasn’t exactly a yes man, but as a business magnate, relationships were vital.
So anybody else would have said yes to gain favor.
Unless you happened to be at the very peak of existence and unshakeable then you could do as you please. However, at this point in time, it was important to at least get along and have amicable relations.
“Huh?” The disciples looked at each other in astonishment.
“I presume that Li Yang has a profound cultivation technique and method that he does not wish to share with others,” the Shou Sect Elder spoke and nodded sagely. “Let us not disturb him any further.”
After exchanging a couple more words with Li Yang, the elder departed with the rest of his disciples trailing after him. Every now and then, they’d look back hoping to see a glimpse but failed to notice anything.
Li Yang was waiting for all of them to leave.
Taiga stared at the sect elder agog, but then didn’t bother correcting him. Truth be told, she didn’t know what cultivation method Li Yang used but based on how fast he improved over a year, it was a fast one.
The Tigress hoped it wasn’t anything heretic related, but she was positive that Li Yang knew better than that. Once the others were gone and no one else was around, Taiga clapped her hands together.
“Okay, let’s do this. Bossman, what do you have in mind?”
Li Yang glanced in both Bo Lifen and Bai Minghua’s direction. “An assessment, no doubt. It’ll be difficult finding a perfect cultivation method without knowing what they’re capable of.”
“Huh? Find a cultivation method?” Taiga’s ears perked up. “Wait. Does this mean that you have more than one?! Bossman is truly rich beyond belief if you acquired ones while you were away. And Taiga thought it was Ying Yue He who got the better ones.”
“Ah, how did you know?” Li Yang raised a brow.
Taiga pouted unhappily. “Well, even though she’s some realms below me, her cultivation base is really good and that’s because she found better ones. One for cultivation focusing on attacks and another seemed to have been a movement skill related one.”
“I see, you have a good eye. She did mention them to me before.” Li Yang remembered that Ying Yue He actually acquired Earth Ranked Cultivation Methods, but before he said anything else, Bo Lifen raised a hand.
“I have three types of spiritual roots if that’s what you’re asking and I can also see things hidden from normal mortal eyes.”
“Is that so?” he murmured.
“Well, you’d be blind as a bat if you couldn’t see them in the first place.” Taiga added.
Narissa winced and shook her head. “I’m from the ocean and I know bats aren’t blind. They just have weak eyesight. But it is true that the world around us is known to protect the common folk, usually humans, from seeing things that are incomprehensible to them.”
Of course, the animal facts were something that Narissa picked up on background geographic documentaries, but that was also irrelevant. She’d rather not let anyone know that she secretly enjoyed watching them.
“You know, I also spent a great majority of my life being unaware,” Li Yang commented offhandedly. That was why he was impressed with Chunhua for having psychic-like abilities. He doubted it was passed down from his side or whether it was related to the bloodline at all. “It seems that I can be called a weak-sighted bat as well.”
“Oh, I didn’t mean you, Bossman!” Taiga was quick to retract her statement and motioned to the other woman. “I just meant that if Bo Lifen couldn’t see someone like me behind my disguise and other creatures, as well as behind the scenes incidents it’d be a shame since she comes from a cultivation family unlike yours.”
“I see, thank you for clarifying that.” Li Yang chuckled and then glanced at Bo Lifen. “Anything else you might like to add?”
Narissa snorted but then coughed. “Is this a job interview? I should have brought my portfolio if I knew we were going through this.”
“Can Taiga go next?”
“It’s Bo Lifen who’s here to train, not you two.” Li Yang reminded them. In a way it really did feel like a meeting or an interview in a sense. Some people were really great at interrupting one another.
Not out of malice, but perhaps just eagerness.
“When I was younger, I also did some martial arts, some wudang, a little bit of shaolin here and there. Nothing too serious.” Bo Lifen rested a hand underneath her chin. “And kendo during university days. I participated in tournaments and won competitions.”
“Wow, Taiga is impressed with all the fancy names,” Taiga flicked a wrist. “In Taiga’s opinion, what matters is knowing how to dodge attacks, use weapons and also obliterate your enemies and not some fancy medal or title.”
“I think you’re just unfamiliar with the techniques,” Bo Lifen raised a brow. “Or do Spiritual Beasts just call everything a ‘feral and wild technique’ and choose not to distinguish between them? Wait, there’s monkey style, so you must have a tiger-inspired combat method, right?”
“Hmph. That’s right.” Taiga crossed her arms and harrumphed. “We also think just like you guys and we tend to be less squishy than you guys. So we can also take a hit or two. Maybe three or more for Taiga.”
“Okay…” Bo Lifen decided not to pull the tiger’s tail. She seemed a bit too catty right now.
Bai Minghua, who was only observing everything, saw a screen appear in front of Li Yang. She pursed her lips but didn’t say anything else. Li Yang was letting the two women talk and have a feel for each other.
She wondered if Taiga’s fire roots also contributed to her fiery temper.
Li Yang stared at the assessment right in front of him and as usual, the System was belligerent and refused to measure the individuals on earth in their standing but seemed to continue to compare it to a universal standard.
[ Evaluation ]
Individual is an insignificant being in the earthly plane and has made terrible decisions in regards to their prior cultivation method choices which stagnated her growth greatly. Has a varied amount of interests and their decision to choose whatever they please makes them finicky.
Considered highly unsuitable for the ‘Harem’ of the Host and may create strife within the group if the Host continues to interact with the individual.
Li Yang wasn’t surprised when he received the same evaluation in the past about him being insignificant and the System once called him practically worthless if not for receiving the System.
It was only Ying Yue He who received a better evaluation and maybe Bai Minghua as well… but perhaps it was because the System in the end was still a ‘harem’ focused one that it chose to highlight the two in a better light.
However, he really didn’t expect that the System would just go out of its way to speak terribly about Bo Lifen. He narrowed his eyes as he continued reading.
