My Ceo Harem Cultivation System - Chapter 315: Shou Temple Sect (3)
When was the best time to cultivate?
The answer to that question for her was probably more than two decades ago. It was the moment when she was a lot younger and her primordial qi from birth was still plentiful enough to make things easy.
But the next best time to cultivate after that golden time period though was today.
Now.
Presently.
Currently.
… At least that was what Bo Lifen tried to convince herself. So the Tea Sommelier raised a brow at Li Yang’s sudden request. She had pulled out her sword from her spatial ring and was prepared to warm up by sparring with Li Yang or Taiga.
However, the ex-CEO’s next course of action was far from what she expected when she had asked him for help in becoming a cultivator like him.
“I believe our first activity today is assessing your ability in the dao of tea.” Li Yang eyed her sword as if he was reading something about it. Probably he really was because of his skill to do so, but then he looked up back at her with a small smile. “I’ll cover the spiritual ingredients, so do not worry about it..”
“You want me to make tea?!” Bo Lifen asked him in amazement. There was a great amount of nervous energy across her entire body, even as she leaned from one ball of her feet to the other, she still had the moment to look at him as if he was crazy.
How was tea-making going to help her become stronger to defend her friends and family?
Li Yang nodded briefly and plopped down into the grass, both Taiga and Bai Minghua immediately sat on either side of him and acted like female bodyguards.
The truth was, in the eyes of the spectator, somehow, the two women acted like the man’s posse. These women made him appear even more striking than usual as if he held a commanding aura with their presence alone.
When a person was surrounded by average-looking individuals, it was possible to look good due to numbers and yet Li Yang still managed to retain such an aloof look with beautiful women that it boosted his appearance.
Out of nowhere, a small table along with the ceramic tea set and then Li Yang waved his hand idly and there appeared unknown ingredients before her.
All of them looked a bit familiar, like things that you could find on earth, but there was a distinct difference to it that told Bo Lifen that they weren’t really from this world at all but akin to an alternative or higher realm.
The Tea Sommelier blinked and realized that their qi level, if one could even call them qi at this point, was at such a very distinctive purity and density unlike anything she had ever seen before.
In the past, Bo Lifen had already encountered qi purity and density when she was in the presence of Golden Core stage cultivators and when the Tea Sommelier came across items in cultivation auctions.
The Treasure Hunter Guild traveled across the world and whenever they visited the country, would often bring ancient scrolls, unearthed jars and other cultivation items that dated back over five thousand years or more.
Those were the times where Bo Lifen encountered amazing and spectacular people or items radiating with high purity or dense qi.
Such things were rare nowadays and yet Li Yang easily brought her vegetables, flowers and fruits that practically glowed and were basked in an energy unlike any spiritual ingredient obtained before.
“What do you call all of this?” Bo Lifen motioned wildly to the ingredients laid in front of her.
“What you’ll be using to make tea.” Li Yang raised a brow as his lips quirked slightly. He looked a bit amused by her reaction and that only made the woman want to grab him by the collar and start shaking him.
These were ingredients that cultivator chefs would have fought each other to the death for and yet Li Yang provided it to her like it was nothing!
Bo Lifen would have choked but then only gave him a withering look. “Very funny.”.
Taiga was already looking at the ingredients and bursted at Li Yang. “Bossman, this is like the egg that you gave Taiga! Why is she getting more free stuff from the other world?”
“Otherworldly ingredients,” Bo Lifen muttered and shook her head. The reality of another world was something that she was aware of, but it still made her grasp just how different her level was when compared to him.
“Well this is fascinating,” Narissa clapped her hands and then threw a look at Li Yang. “I wonder what you have for me?”
“We can have that for a discussion for later,” Li Yang said. “I hope you can wait a bit, I need to devote my full attention when I show you what I’ve brought for you.”
“Oh, that’s fine. Let me just stretch my legs while you and these two go about your cultivation business.” Narissa pulled up to her feet. “I need a walk.”
“Will you be alright?” Li Yang wasn’t sure if the Mermaid wanted to walk because she got a bit annoyed. It was hard to tell.
“Of course, even if I’m no cultivator like you, I still have my natural abilities.” Narissa stuck out her tongue at him.
“Huh, you have a cute side too.” Taiga said in surprise.
Narissa blinked and waved a hand. “Anyway, I’ll just be going. See you three lovebirds or whatever.”
Li Yang watched the Mermaid walk out for a moment so he dedicated his attention to Bo Lifen and the Tigress Spirit. “I noticed that one of Bo Lifen’s spiritual roots is fire based like Taiga’s… but since you lack a specific technique right now that pertains to fire roots, we’ll have to rely on Taiga for now.”
“Taiga is really dependable, huh, Bossman?” Taiga puffed up her chest in pride. Which coincidentally just so happened to be bigger than Bo Lifen’s… if that accounted for anything.
“Can you start a fire with your qi?”
“Of course, leave it to Taiga!” Taiga gathered a concentration of qi in her fingertip and transformed it into a bursting flame. “Let’s make some tea, Tea Temptress!”
Bo Lifen scrunched up her face lightly, but immediately darted her eyes around the available ingredients on the table. She was still shocked as she placed her hand on the table and then started to pick up the leaves and petals.
“Some of these plants do seem to have similar properties to earth equivalents here,” Bo Lifen inspected what appeared to be some root crop. She gave it a sniff and scrunched up her nose. It was in a purple shade like yam but it held a rather spicy fragrance like ginger. “At least based on my judgement.”
“Then I trust you to make us something to drink right now,” Li Yang said.
“How sure are you that everything here is safe to eat?” Bo Lifen raised a brow. “There are flowers and other vegetation that’s extremely poisonous and may have harmful effects unknown if blended together. I can try to distinguish between them, but you must know all of these, right?”
“I can assure you that they’re all edible.”
When he was helping with the priestesses in Mashiro Temple, most of them happily offered him fruits, vegetables and other plants in their gardens and vineyards.
These crops weren’t as precious as the beast cores that he had obtained but their ability to use green Ao, or earthly Ao, had made these ingredients before him appear like prized minerals on earth.
