My Destined Werewolf Mate - Chapter 182
Soon enough, the whole greenish glow of flame surrounding them started to ignite voraciously all around, illuminating the entire darkness-shrouded woods. But, the fire didn’t give a burning sensation at all, rather than it was soothingly calm which Eva could sense evidently. Petrified to watch the horrific sight sitting in the middle of the fire blaze, she was grabbing Zeus firmly in her embrace without showing any intention to let him go.
But something even strange was yet to happen!
The greenish-blue flare which was inflaming over her chest area suddenly started to spread all over her body. She gulped anxiously and watched the flares appearing on both of her palms while they were grasping onto Zeus’s unconscious body. Her right hand was laid over his cold, bruised chin and. As soon as the flame touched the area of his grimace, miraculously, his burnt scars started to disappear slowly, restoring his fair skin to normal!
The shocking sight frightened her to the core! Her jaw dropped in surprise, she started gasping heavily with countless uncertainties springing up in her mind. For a few seconds, she couldn’t even blink her eyes and continued gawking at the portion of his right cheek which healed on its own, just by coming in contact with the blaze that was flashing on her trembling arms.
Gulping her saliva, she took a deep breath in and tried to touch his forehead which had burnt scars incised over. The exact same effect happened! Wherever she was touching him with the strange flame blazing on her palms, the scars were disappearing restoring his parched skin to his natural.
“What the heck…is happening? Am…Am I using…magic? Was I a wizard all this time? How…How is this possible? No…probably… I am still hallucinating… But…” Wondering inside her mind perplexedly, she softly grabbed his broad right arm. His body was turning out to be all cold and stiff when he lost his senses, but miraculously, she could feel the warmth in his body again! It indicated, he was indeed returning back to normal from the disastrous stage which had almost pushed him to the brink of death.
“I am not dreaming at all! It’s all happening! It’s all real! I…I don’t know what’s happening…but…these flames…they are healing my Zeus!!” Tears of relief streamed down her cheeks as she mumbled on her own, while holding his arm tight.
Suddenly her narrowed gaze locked over the chisel-shaped deep scar incised on his abdomen. It was profused with thick gore blood and seemed immensely painful just to look at. It was the exact same spot where he was stabbed with wolfsbane that fateful night.
Holding a pitiful gaze towards him, she slowly touched that part of his body with her blazing arm a bit anxiously. But as soon as her palm pressed against the scar, the greenish blue flame surrounding them all around surprisingly ignited voraciously changing into reddish flame.
The blaze of flame radiant on her hand changed into illuminant red in color and all of a sudden the area near her chest portion where the flames appeared first, started throbbing in pain. The pain was growing so severe as if her ribs were breaking inside causing an agonizing trauma. But still, holding firm determination on her mind, she didn’t remove her hand from the profound scar and chose to endure the terrific pain all alone.
After an anticipation of a few minutes, a bright bizarre spark of red flame emitted out from his entire body which freakishly dissolved every single burnt scar carved on him, including the deep chisel-shaped one. Immediately the flares surrounding them all over disappeared into thin air including the flames illuminating out from Eva’s body. The surrounding around them returned to its usual darkish form after the disappearance of those flames.
But, Eva’s insides was throbbing with a strange feeling of sharp pain. Her mind was becoming dazed with immense weakness prevailing all over her body. Clenching her chest area while breathing quite intensely, she plopped down on the ground right next to Zeus holding one of his arm tight.
His burnt deformed body had been restored to his normal self and it seemed as if he was unconsciously sleeping by her side. A wide blissful grin appeared on her face with a warm drop of tear dripping down the corner of her eyes as she softly caressed his face with her trembling fingertips.
“The curse…I think, it’s broken! I…I saved you Zeus! I…don’t know…how everything happened… I don’t know what’s wrong with me… Why am I feeling so worn down, my insides are throbbing in pain but…I am happy to see you safe… I don’t care about anything anymore… Even if I am gonna die, I have no regrets…
Instead…I am grateful to the God for not taking you away from me… I am so grateful…
I love you…Zeus…now…and forever…” A sad trembling smile escaped her quivering lips while she whispered those words to him before losing her senses, closing her eyes.
………
It was around 12 am in the midnight. Perplexed and looking extremely palpitated, Clara was continuously dialing Eva on her phone, biting her nails while marching back and forth inside her room. She was continuously glancing at the clock holding a petrified dark gaze, clenching the moonstone brace twirling in her arm.
But she was unable to connect to her which further intensified her worrimets regarding her. The lunar eclipse period had already ended an hour back ago but she still didn’t return home. Her mind was filled with countless absurd assumptions and without wasting any further moment, she decided to look for her everywhere.
.
While she headed to fetch a coat from her closet before heading out, all of a sudden her phone rang aloud. In the flash of a second she rushed fast to grab the call hoping that it would be from Eva but, it was from Czar! Impatiently she picked up the call answering impertinently.
“Hello? Master? Do you know where is Eva? She…She hasn’t come home yet! I can’t even connect to her phone–”
“She is safe.” A cold, sonorous voice answered her from the other side seeming a bit calm.
“What?”
“She is back with Zeus… I have…let her go back to her beloved one…” Taking a deep huff of breath, he reciprocated while his voice sounded quite glum.
Baffled hearing his response, Clara stood numb for a few seconds trying to process his answer. Exhaling a deep sigh out, she clenched the phone before mumbling to him, “is…is she with Zeus right now? Are they both safe? Is everything alright?”
“They are safe. I had a hunch that…you might get worried sick about her sudden disappearance. So, I wanted to let you know once…”
A sad small smirk appeared on her lips as she heard his timid response, standing still. “Even in the miserable moment, you thought about me…thinking about it makes me happier…” She wondered without uttering a single word.
“Well, I gotta go now. Will elaborate you everything when we meet next time. Gotta hang up now–”
“Wa-Wait, Master!” Before he could wrap up his words, sounding all impatient, she asserted her restless tone. “Are you alright? Are you safe?”
An awkward numb silence persisted between them for a few seconds before he disconnected the call without giving her any answer. However, his silence was more evident than the words he could barely speak at that moment.
“I know Czar…how terribly your heart must have ached to let go off Eva…whom you loved so dearly. There’s no way, you will be fine after watching her leave…
I am glad…she is back again with the person who loves her…more than his own life! I bet…no one can cherish her the way Zeus does… Indeed, they belong to each other despite every pain and suffering they have endured till now…
But…I will be more worried for her from now on… Things are gonna get..much complicated…” She took a deep huff of breath out while wondering inside, sitting up on the couch of her room looking at the golden ruby bracelet which was still shimmering on her desk, even in the dark.
………..
It was already morning. Birds were chirping outside with mild warm breeze wavering inside the room through the giant window beside her bed. Soft gentle sunrays were invading the room, also reflecting on her pale face which gradually caused her to wake up from the deep slumber.
As soon as Eva opened her eyes, she found herself sleeping inside the bedroom of her own apartment wrapped with a warm blanket. She still had a terrible bodyache but what shocked her the most, she was completely alone in the room. She jolted up on her bed, looking all around anxiously.
“What’s going on? I…I remember that…I passed out in the woods but…how did I end up here…in my home? Where is Zeus?
No…was it all a dream last night? Did he leave me again?”
Wondering inside her mind while shuddered in fear, she sprang out of her bed. With a wobbling sore posture, she rushed out of the room.
