My Destined Werewolf Mate - Chapter 185
“Wh-What?”
“You butchered your sincere emotions to bring us both back together…isn’t it, Czar?” Resting his chin over his wide broad shoulder, his sonorous voice resounded heartfeltly.
Czar stood still like a rock embraced within his arms surging his brown pupils wider. From his eloquence, he didn’t seem to expect such a blunt query from his brother who could easily notice the inner turmoils he was trying to hide behind his haughty expression. For a moment, he stopped resisting to break free from his snuggle.
“Hey, stop… spilling out nonsense… Zeus. Why would I be… such a generous guy?” He stuttered a little, trying to come up with a fake excuse.
“You have tried so hard to prove your disgust towards me, but…even though I tried to act indifferent towards your behaviors, silently, deep down inside, you were always concerned for me.” He tapped his shoulder once, with his voice crooked a bit.
“What the heck are you telling me? Let go of me, it’s awkward!” He fidgeted nervously trying to shove him away to escape from his tight bear hug.
“Letting go of someone who had made you aware of your hidden emotions isn’t something a weak heart can do, Czar… Being romantic takes a lot of courage…and…it causes an incurable scar deep in your heart to watch someone go whom you loved above yourself. It…It takes a lot of strength… And, I never imagined you would be the one who will set an example of eternal sacrifice, despite being a stubborn beta.”
Hearing his soft gloomy whispering piercing through his heart, Czar didn’t conflict back with a single word. Zeus was evidently putting out his buried emotions which was making his heart shudder with unspeakable immense pain.
“Thank you…would be a smaller abbreviation for what you did for me, Czar. And…I am sorry, I couldn’t be the perfect brother who could protect you from this cruel world. I don’t know…if you can forgive me ever in this life but for me…you will be always the best brother I could ever ask for.” He tapped his shoulder mumbling his warm appraisal, tossing a wide sad smile, closing his eyes taking a deep sigh out.
All of a sudden, the emotions which he was trying to suppress within himself broke out hearing those heartfelt words from his elder brother for the very first time in his entire life. He shivered a little with his tearful eyes dripping a drop of a warm tear rolling down his chin. His cheeks stung with an immense urge of crying out loud like a small child in his arms forgetting every boundary coexisting between them. Clinching his shoulder, he was trying to choke his tears in which Zeus could evidently sense from the backside.
“You can cry out…if you want, Czar.”
“Wh…Who said…I…I…want…to cry… Wh-What a load of…bullshit…” His crooked, shaky voice was honest enough to point out the unavoidable urge of mourning he was enduring inside.
For a moment, both of them immersed themselves within their long-awaited embrace before Czar noticed Eva who was standing at the doorstep of the room she rushed into, gripping a beautiful wooden vase with those yellow tulips delicately tugged inside. She was holding a warm teary smile on her face watching the two brothers cuddling each other fondly like small innocent children.
Flustered at the sight of noticing her, Czar immediately pushed him away quite forcefully intensely trying to hide his embarrassed face. His ears and the tip of his pointed nose had turned all red which indicated he was too modest to even glance into deep in her eyes.
“Wh-Why the hell you were snuggling me so tight? Ar-Are you a pervert brother? Tha-That was so damn frustrating! It was annoying the sh-shit out of me!” He was fumbling nervously, pretending too hard to hide his exact embarrassment from both of them, especially from Eva.
She chuckled watching him getting all shy and tenderly walked closer to them, placing the vase over the table beside them. “Don’t fret, Mr. Czar. I will pretend…that I didn’t see these two grown brothers nestling each other with a warm bear hug.” Whispering softly, she tried to tease him a little.
“Hey! I didn’t hug this giant airhead! It was him who was gripping onto me tightly! I didn’t like it a single bit as it was frustrating!”
“Yeah…Yeah…I can understand it, Mr. Czar.” She smirked wittily peeping at him.
“Hey, are you teasing me right now? And how long you are going to address me formally? I am gonna call you as little duckling even if your lover disagrees to it!” Desperately trying to hide his modest expression, he was bickering with Eva like a small child. Their innocent squabbling indeed put a warm smile on Zeus who was silently ogling at both of them with a blissful gaze in his eyes.
.
DING DONG!
Their tiny bickering was interrupted by the sudden doorbell noise approaching the main door of the apartment. Flinched at the loud sound, Eva quickly rushed towards the door to find out who exactly had approached the at that very moment.
As soon as she opened the door, her eyeballs swirled wider in surprise witnessing the person standing at her doorstep. It was Clara, dressed up in a black short knee-length gown, holding a wide jovial smile on her lips with a box of chocolate tugged in her fingertips.
“Clara?” Surprised at the sudden greeting, Eva rushed in her arms hugging her as tighter as she could. She tapped on her shoulder a few times, nuzzling her chin on her shoulder.
“I was so worried for you…that…I couldn’t stop myself from coming here at this hour. Are you alright?”
“I…I am so sorry…I couldn’t inform you anything last night…My phone died and…I couldn’t even come back home. Sorry…for troubling you so much always…” Making a guilt-stricken face while pouting her lips, she clinched her grip tighter on her waist.”
“As long as you are fine, I am okay with everything, Eva. Also, I believe, Zeus must be here too. Is he alright too?”
“Yes! Come inside,” quickly drawing herself away from her, she gripped her hand intending to welcome her inside. But as soon as Clara took a step in, her jaw dropped in surprise watching both Zeus and Czar standing upright before her.
From his facial expression, Czar too looked startled at her sudden visit, gawking at her intensely. Clara gasped a deep breath in, surged her pupils wider, and mumbled out aloud without even realizing the situation, “master?”
“You’re here too?” Narrowing his intense gaze, he enunciated back in a low tone.
“Wh-What? Master?” Hearing their absurd response, Eva mumbled out turning her neck back and forth glancing at both of them in awe. Momentarily they seemed to be oblivious of their situation around but apprehending her baffled tone, Clara quickly tried to act normal getting a hold of herself.
“Do you both know each other already?” Scrunching her brows, Eva gazed at her querying in a blunt note.
“Ahh…no, we…we just know each other from a short time…haha… It’s nothing biggie…” A peal of abrupt nervous laughter escaped her lips as she tried to respond to her probing. Czar seemed a bit perplexed too, fidgeting his arms while Zeus stood still, monitoring their anxious state with an amused face.
“Why are you addressing him as ‘master’? Are you sure you aren’t hiding anything from me, Clara?” Sulking her face, she poked her arms sounding a bit skeptical.
“It’s just the way I tease him… It’s really nothing–”
“You are overthinking way too much, little duckling.” Watching her getting all palpitated from her sharp queries, Czar came forward to her rescue answering Eva on her behalf. Both of them seemed to be a bit startled at his sudden sonorous response, turning their gazes towards him. “You shouldn’t stress your mind with these unnecessary abbreviations. Rather than, take good care of yourself and your foolish lover.” Muttering in a keen voice, he shifted his glare towards Zeus who was already glancing at him.
“Take good care of her. If you slack next time, I won’t mind snatching her away from you, okay?” Whispering haughtily to him under low breath, firmly he walked straight towards the door intending to step outside. A small chuckle escaped his lips as he stood silent, watching Czar leaving out first.
“Wait…are you already leaving? We can grab breakfast altogether!” Eva tried to interrupt his motion, responding to him.
“Next time. See you later, little duckling.” A small smirk escaped his lips as he sneaked a quick glance towards her while walking past by. But not only Eva, momentarily he looked deep into Clara’s wider eyes evoking a mysterious gaze in his dubious eyes.
While he was leaving, Clara turned her neck around gazing at him from behind quite sincerely. Her honest deep gaze seemed profound with impassioned sentiments as she could understand, he quickly left the scene before just to save Clara from any unnecessary probing.
While she was gawking at him silently, Eva stared deep into her eyes with a small simper on her face. Taing a sigh out, she wondered on her own, “your eyes really can’t lie, Clara.”
