My Destined Werewolf Mate - Chapter 203
The weather seemed much pleasant along with the endless sky resembling clear and blue. The morning tide soft sun rays were beaming all around the atmosphere with mild mid-summer breeze towing those flowery bougainvillea shrubs covering the giant, beautiful yard of her villa. Standing still, alone, at the giant yard, fixing her glare at her phone screen Ivory was scowling her grimace. She seemed pretty irritated wearing a chiffon sleeveless white nightgown from the last night.
She was desperately trying to contact Zeus but the result was the same for her every attempt. She was incapable to contact him, not even once due to his network issues. The constant failure was making her even more annoyed than ever. Her long wavy brown hair was rustling with the soft breeze while clinching the phone hard on her hand, she lowered her gaze down at the small green grasses.
“Where the heck he has been since yesterday? He…hasn’t even returned to Romano Mansion! It’s not like…such a giant man will disappear in thin air… Where the heck he has been staying all along hiding from the world? Does he ever realize how much his foolish actions make me anxious for him!? That stupid jerk…” While she was grumbling out her palpitation, all of a sudden her sonorous voice trailed off for a few seconds. She frowned her eyebrows, turned off the phone screen, and mumbled on her own, “is that means…Czar wasn’t lying to me…he is indeed…staying with that human!? What the fuck? How could he just toss away everything else and live with the–”
“You are worried about him again?”
All of a sudden hearing the unexpected bold remark that interrupted her rumbling from behind, she turned around in the flick of a second. Wearing a loose white t-shirt with blue denim, looking quite fresh in the early morning, Czar was standing still, holding a witty smirk towards her. As their eyes met each other for a moment, the smirk on his grimace widened as he waved his arm to greet her, “Yo! Morning!”
“Why are you here?” Fretting her brows, Ivory sounded quite gruff as she tossed her sharp query towards him. She had a displeased expression on her face to witness him at her place but he seemed a bit unbothered, casually walking towards her with a smile.
“Oops…looks like, I have displeased you with my sudden visit! But I must say…your yard is so beautiful to even admire…” Glancing around him rolling his eyes wider, he mumbled while gently walking closer to her.
For a moment she stood still glaring her fiery eyes at him keeping her anticipated silence. As soon as he reached closer to her, she took a heavy sigh out before charging him back, “are you here to mock me?”
“What?”
“You must be very amazed to watch me stuck in such a ridiculous situation! Go ahead…and laugh at me. It must be… fun for you.” A sad smirk appeared on her roseate lips with her dark eyes evoking the rage she was enduring.
“I…might have been a wicked wolf in the past…but…I despise making fun of someone’s deep scars.” Exhaling a small sigh out, he stared deep into her eyes sounding quite firm.
“Then why are you here? What do you want Czar!?”
“I had already sent you the text prior stating you to hold back your emotions, Ivory. But…sadly…it looks like, you still haven’t given up on him.” Scrunching his brow ridge, he asserted his cold response.
Her jowls started quivering all of a sudden as she narrowed her gaze before rebuking him hoarsely. “Give upon him? Hahh…Do you think…it’s that easy to…let your feelings shrink when you have loved that person over ten decades? Can you ever realize how…how am I bearing this heartache? Can you ever put my shoe and apprehend my emotions?”
“I am well aware of how you are feeling and…to be honest…I feel pity for you, Ivory.” Slowly, he lifted his gaze up at the clear sky, taking a deep sigh out. “Though…you are not in your right senses…but I know, you do have a considerate heart though you try to act all indifferent. You were always kind to me…like a sister… that’s why…despite your hard feelings on me, I came here to state something clearly once in for all.”
She stood like a rock, ogling at him in wonder while he continued his remark, holding a glum look in his eyes towards her.
“Stop being so stubborn… The love…you had for Zeus has rotten into obsession. There is no use anymore…waiting for an alpha who has already marked his mate.” He conversed firmly.
“Wh…What?” Twitching her brow ridge while squinting her cryptic eyes, she uttered out being awe-struck with his unexpected answer.
Before continuing, he exhaled a deep glum sigh out meeting her shocked eyes with his murky gaze. Slowly he took a small ahead, responding back in a low pitch, “I know…your heart will be broken to pieces. Trust me…I know it well how awful it feels to endure that unbearable pain inside…” Pointing his index finger towards his heart, his voice crooked a little as he continued, “but you have to understand, Ivory…Some people are meant to stay in our hearts forever but…sadly not in our fate. He is already betrothed to Eva, so…just stop waiting for him.”
Hearing out his cold proclamation, it seemed as if a huge sharp sword stabbed her heart brutally. Standing absolutely speechless for a few seconds, she was unable to process his words. Her mind was going all dizzy and the strength on her knees to stand still started shuddering. “Be…Betrothed?” Her breath choked.
“It will be hard for you to accept…but losing your longtime friend on the hands of your obsession, it’s better to accept this bitter reality we are living in—”
Before he could wrap up his words, she furiously grabbed his collar with her arms gritting her teeth in rage. The frustration, pain, and resentment that she was battling inside was evident in her ardent gaze as she shrieked out fiercely, “wh…what the fuck you are blabbering out? Have you lost your mind too? How…Just how the fuck he can be betrothed to a worthless human? How…How could he choose that darn traitor’s daughter over me? How is this possible? What the hell you are prattling nonsense!? How dare you!” While yelling out aloud, warm teardrops of agony streamed down her eyes involuntarily.
Watching her wrecked state of mind, he didn’t try to escape her leash and stood still, gawking at her with a sad face. “I won’t tell you to calm down today…I know it will be hard for you to feel all alone. So… just scream, cry aloud, curse, or do whatever it takes to heal your heart…and ultimately…prepare yourself to let him go.” He held by her forearms consoling her in a soft voice.
“Why…Why the fuck you are telling me all these? What the hell!? Why couldn’t you hide this from me? Why did you have to break my heart…darn…fuck!!” Bursting out into tears, she lowered her grimace down unleashing her grip from his collar, biting her lips to stop herself from being more miserable before him.
“Because…I don’t want you to be a third woman in their story.” Suddenly, his deep voice sounded much cold as he whispered in a gruff manner, looking sharp into her eyes.
“What?”
“I am the son…of a third woman.” His eyes darkened with a void of sadness as he continued responding out firmly. “Trust me…it feels awful when your own pack steals disgustful glances at you just because…you are given birth by the helpless woman who couldn’t get acceptance from her partner just because of this fucked up society! It feels terrible…when they call you an illegitimate child but you can’t tear their throats apart just because…we belong from the same pack. That’s why…I don’t want you to become a woman in their story who will never get recognition for her pure love. Step aside…and let go of him.
Someday…you will find someone who will accept you the way you are, not the one you want them to be… Till then, live your life as your own. Stop…waiting for him like a miserable woman. You are not the fearless, brave Ivory…I have always admired.” Concluding his words in a cold voice, slowly averting his gaze away from her, he started walking straight out of her villa without looking back anymore.
She stood still all alone behind, rolling out her teary eyes wider while staring at him from the back. Clenching her fist, she quickly dialed a number uttering out her dark voice.
“I am giving you an hour…Find out where is Zeus hiding. If you fail to do so…I am gonna tear your chest out!”
She disconnected the call immediately after conveying her command. While gritting her jowls fuming with rage, her dark eyeballs transformed into illuminant red as she grumbled out, “I am not gonna wait for you anymore…Instead… I will face you, Zeus.”
