My Destined Werewolf Mate - Chapter 206
Shocked and gasping out of breath, Eva quivered in fear for a moment watching Ivory flaunting her long wolfish tail in that shimmering red sunset, obtaining the vicious dominant form of an alpha she-wolf. It was the very first time, Eva had witnessed such a powerful form of Ivory. It didn’t even take her 3 seconds to burn Lady Olie’s body into ashes just with the wolf-fire of her large tail! This fearful incident clearly indicated a hint of the inhuman strength she was owning until now. The waves of those bright red sparks that were igniting around her burned vigorously for a moment before slowly things started to turn out normal.
Slowly, the flash lighting around her started to vanish on their own along with her wavering tail that disappeared in thin air from her back. Her bright red illuminant eyes returned to their normal human form as she gradually obtained the form of a normal woman. Her fair, radiant skin was shimmering in the sunset. Her wavy long hair was whirling with the sea breeze as well as the white long silk slit gown she was putting on made her stand out on that beach like an ethereal goddess.
“You…You…” Eva was stuttering in fear, squatting down on the ground a few meters apart while scrunching her brows at her. She looked extremely terrified, her body was still trembling on its own and the part of the neck where she was attacked seemed to be swollen and bruised.
“Long time no see… Hope…you remember me, don’t you?” Standing firmly while mumbling in an intense dark voice, she flickered one of her brows.
Her bold response further startled her deep inside. She clenched her fist over the sand, seeming very perplexed she chose to inquire first, “why…why are…you here?”
“Why can’t I be here? Do you own this place? Or…Had you really assumed…you will hide Zeus here in this desolated place and no one will be able to discover? Isn’t it?” Her facial expression turned much sour as she conversed her hoarse words.
Her sharp, fiery words were obvious to point out the immense hatred she was carrying deep down in her heart for Eva. Lowering her eyes down from her with a grievous look on her face, she tried to stand up on her feet with a wobbly posture. “I…didn’t come here on my own… I know… probably whatever…I will say, you won’t believe me. Then…why did you save me?”
“Save you? Hahahaha!” A rude, tantalizing loud squeal of laughter escaped her roseate lips as she caressed her brown hair bangs that were falling over her forehead. “How naive of you! I am…just here to rectify the mistakes I have done prior.”
“Mistakes?” She stood still, staring at her with a palpitating mind.
Suddenly, the smile she had been owning on her grimace faded occupied with immense darkness. Her eyes were shimmering with a devilish look in them as she crossed her arms over her chest, “I couldn’t sit still and watch my prey be snatched away by that lowly hellhound. That’s why I had to meddle in.”
“He-Hellhound?” She swirled her eyes in horror.
“Sparing your life on that day when you had stepped inside the Romano Mansion…was the biggest blunder…I had committed in my life. I shouldn’t have listened to that darn Czar! I…I wish I could alter my decision back then but…as for now, I am here to finish you off with my own hands because…I don’t wanna live in any regretful choice that I have ever made.” She scoffed her dark proclamation at her, glaring fiercely keeping her gaze still.
Hearing her cruel threat bold and loud, a tinge of agony aroused inside her heart as she stood still for a while, rolling her eyeballs restlessly. Awestruck at her verdict, she tried to mumble out in a husky frightened voice, “you…are here to…kill me?”
“Including today…I have twice spared your life. So…shouldn’t I be the one owning your life? Since I am the one who saved you a moment ago I can also be the one who can take away your worthless life today. Why? Does it seem unfair to you?” An obscure smile carved on the edges of her lips as she muttered nonchalantly.
“You own my life? What the—”
“Besides…being a wolf myself, I have been craving for some human meat for a long time. It’s been a while already…I had devoured a human along with Zeus. So, I guess, you will be able to savor my hunger today.” She interrupted her while her glossy brown eyes shimmered with the malicious intention she was holding towards her.
All of a sudden, her heart almost stopped for a second hearing the despiteful declaration in that nonchalant manner. Frowning her face carrying a disgustful look in her sad eyes, she asserted out, “devoured a human? Ze…Zeus…devoured a human?”
“We are the mighty wolves, the creatures of the dark who like our claws to be soiled with gore blood, and ripping warm flesh! Did you really expect us to consume…leaves and grasses?” A mocking smirk lingered on her jowls as she casually took a small step forward glaring at her while conversing firmly.
She stood still, unable to retreat a step back as she moved a step forward towards her. Her heart was aching too hard with a severe, unspeakable pain churning her insides. Her eyes squinted with a dismal look in her eyes as averted her gaze down, taking a heavy whiff of breath out.
“Why do you seem so disgusted with my answer?” Slightly tilting her neck, she monitored her expression before charging her back. “You did know about his true self…right? You accepted him despite knowing he is a brutal monster…so…why do you seem displeased now? Have you ever…loved him for who he is?”
Her appalled eyes were swelled up in tears as she slowly lifted her chin up to answer her back, “I do…I do love him for who is he–”
“LIER!!” All of a sudden, she roared out like a fierce tigress gnashing her teeth at her with immense rage. She was shivering with the fuming wrath filling up her core as she further screamed, “YOU NASTY WENCH! HOW…HOW DARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU EVEN KNOW ABOUT HIM? HOW LONG YOU HAVE KNOWN HIM? BARELY…A MONTH OR TWO! IN THIS SMALL SPAN OF TIME, HOW CAN YOU BEWITCH HIM FROM ME WHO HAS BEEN ON HIS SIDE FOR 100 FUCKING YEARS!!”
Stretching her eyes wider inundated with her shocked expression, she involuntarily blurted out through the trembling edges of her lips, “wh-what? 100…years?”
Ivory was breathing intensely for a few seconds tossing a fiery gaze towards her. Clenching her fist tight, her dark eyes seemed to glisten with tears of rage as she murmured, “I…have loved him silently for over 100 years… I stood by his side as his friend! I…I had desperately waited for him for my whole life… I…I did everything for him without even asking the reason…He was…always meant to be mine… We were meant to stay beside each other… I have proven my loyalty towards him in every aspect! Then…Then why? How could he just toss me away because he found a wench like you? Can you ever love him the way I did? Can you ever make the sacrifices I chose willingly to do for him? No…Because…You are just fooling him with your innocent face but sadly, these tricks won’t work on me!
I…I am the strongest she-wolf among our pack. I have always exceeded myself in doing every darn thing! So just…how could he choose a worthless woman like you over me? What…What the hell you have done to our Zeus!? How do you even have the audacity to stand before me?” She screamed out ardently, with a warm drop of tear from her scrunching eyes bearing her emotional turbulence shed down.
Tears were streaming her eyes hearing her pent-up ardent allegations as her feet froze, making it unable for her to even move an inch. Weeping helplessly conveying the sharp stinging pain throbbing inside her chest, she lowered her eyes down, whimpering silently.
“Why are you silent? Go ahead…and call your Zeus for help! Go ahead and scream out you brazen trickster! Act all innocent with your pretty face…isn’t that’s how you have enchanted him? Gosh…what else is even expected from the daughter of a traitor? Your existence is itself a sin! Like father…like daughter…”
All of a sudden, her heart pounded out aloud stirred up with an intense uneasiness swooning her from inside apprehending her bold, dark declaration. She gulped her saliva, frowned her face, and mumbled out in a shaky voice, “Tr-Traitor? Did you…call my father a…traitor? Ho…How do you know my father? How?”
“Didn’t…Zeus…tell you about your father? Haven’t you really heard from him…or…you are still trying to fool me again?” She grumbled in a low, deep voice.
