My Destined Werewolf Mate - Chapter 207
Shellshocked from her core, gawking at her with disbelief in her gaze, her lips trembled a little before Eva charged her back, “Zeus…knows about my dad? Ho-How?”
Looking at her dismal face, Ivory could sense that indeed the revelation was shocking for her. Taking a deep sigh out, she muttered nonchalantly, “I absolutely can’t trust you, but it seems…you really didn’t know about it. I wonder…why Zeus would hide about that traitor–”
“Shu…Shut up!!” Before she could finish her answer, all of a sudden Eva shrieked out aloud with her quaky voice interrupting her. Her dark, restless eyes were filled with tears of angst as she was peering at her. “Stop…calling my dad as a…traitor! What…Just what had he done to be defined as a traitor? He…He was the best family man…He was the best father I could ever ask for! Then why…why does he deserve to be treated like this even when he isn’t alive anymore!?” She whimpered.
“After the things, he has done…your father…deserved his fatal ending… His existence…was sin itself…” Her wide brown eyes clouded with darkness as she murmured those words in a cold voice.
“Wh-What?” Warm tears streamed down her eyes hearing her abhorrent verdict with an immense surge of anger arousing inside her. “How…Just how can you be so heartless? Didn’t you have a father yourself? How can be so harsh towards someone else’s father?” Her rage splurged out through her fuss.
Watching her getting all irked, a small tantalizing smirk etched on her slender roseate lips as she rolled her brown, fiery eyes at her. “Does your heart hurts hearing the ill truth about your dad? Exactly…the same way my heart hurts when I am watching the way you are destroying Zeus’s peaceful life! You call me heartless…but you are even more heinous than me! I can sense it…You are making Zeus walk in the same fatal path your father had chosen for himself…and that ring on your finger is the proof of my grudge towards you. You are just…as wicked as your father!!”
Eva stood like a rock, absolutely still, her feet frozen on the sand with a severe pain churning down her insides. Sobbing bitterly with her teary eyes fixed at her wrath-filled eyes, she wanted to yell at her out aloud but she couldn’t utter a single word. Her heart was throbbing hard to learn such revelations about her father which even shattered her soul into countless pieces. Her body was shivering on its own making it difficult for her to stand still.
A moment of few seconds of the anticipated silence persisted between those two in that dark ambiance that followed after the red shimmering sunset. Ivory was breathing deeply and soon after the silence, she scrunched her brows while an obscure expression occupied her face. Slowly, she started walking closer towards Eva clenching her fist. From her right arm, her long-piercing chisel-shaped claws suddenly started emerging out from her nails.
“Nasty wenches like you…don’t deserve to exist either! Every…Every fucking thing will be resolved only if you die and that’s why…I am here to send you off way afar. Go and follow after you dad…” She grumbled heftily taking steps forward. Absorbed with immense shock, Eva couldn’t move an inch to retreat and continued peering at her.
SWIISHHH!
Like a sudden strong gush of wind, in the blink of an eye, Zeus teleported himself at the distance lying exactly at the middle between Eva and Ivory. With his unexpected transmit at that intense moment, both of them were very surprised, especially Eva who had swirled her eyeballs, squinting her gaze at him from behind.
Abruptly Ivory halted her motion as Zeus was standing tall, facing towards her. He had a frowned expression on his face while rolling his dark eyes at her. Watching him ultimately coming to her rescue at the utmost moment, a sad small smirk appeared on her grimace with her brownish eyes fixed still at him.
“So…you are here…finally! I had been…expecting you to come here soon to protect her..just like a…loyal dog!” Her words sounded very cold as well as harsh with a mocking sneer lingering on her slender lips.
“Whatever hard feelings you are enduring inside…you should take it out on me. I won’t stop you. But…Keep Eva out of this mess, she has nothing to do with it.” Making a grievous face, he thickly murmured in a low pitch.
All of a sudden, her face darkened with a surge of anger as she viciously glared at both Eva and Zeus, clenching her fist. “And why must I listen to you? Are you even in your right senses to understand what the fuck you are doing?” She gritted her teeth, whining at him.
“If…you don’t want to listen…then…you have to face me here first before you take a single step towards her. I won’t even budge an inch.” He declared, resounding very firm. Standing just behind him, Eva was gazing at him while sobbing silently, standing still.
Hearing his loud and firm response, the anger that was splurging inside her heart crossed every limit of her endurance. She drastically started walking towards him with her giant footsteps shuddering in wrath.
SLAP!!!
In the flick of a second, she placed a tight slap on the right side of his grimace making a sharp, loud sound in that deserted ambiance. Eva was deadpanned in shock to witness such an unbelievable sight and unknowingly walked a few trembling steps closer getting all concerned about him. But, Zeus stayed thoroughly silent.
Shivering with the fit of her rage, she groped him by his collar with both of her hands and stared deep into his dark eyes. Her eyes were swelled in tears while she yelled at him, “did the slap bring your senses back? Do you realize…what you are doing with your life?”
He silently peered at her teary eyes for a few seconds. Taking a deep sigh out, he mumbled out, “I know…I have deeply hurt you, Ivory.”
“Just hurt? You are being…awful to me, Zeus!!” Clinching her grope over his collar, tears started streaming down her eyes which she was trying hard to hold in. “Do you even remember what I had to for you all these years? Do you!?” She shrieked.
“Ivory–”
“Since the 10 long decades…I stayed beside you because you hated to be alone! I always tried my best to cheer you up because you didn’t have a single good memory with your family! Every time Czar trampled over your feelings, I was the only one to comfort you! I gave you my shoulder to mourn and weep when you lost your granny while the rest of your family blamed you for being a weak child! I had to stay up all night to look after you since you couldn’t sleep due to nightmares! I had to make myself strong enough so that I could protect you from any odds!
Every time you killed a human…I had to clean up the mess you left behind even though I hated to do it! I…I even had to murder Mr. Tylor from our own pack who was an innocent, father figure to me just to destroy the evidence that a human entered the mansion…It was all for your protection…for your sake damn it!! I gave up my life in the US and came back for you here just so that I can stay by your side and watch over you forever. I have already proved my loyalty towards you since our childhood. I have..sincerely waited for you with all my heart and…this is all I deserve in the end!?
How…Just how could you fall this hard for a wench you barely met a month or two ago? How could you not feel a single thing for me? How could you be so cruel? How could you disappoint me like this you heartless punk…how could you…hic…” She broke down into bitter tears, lowering her head down while tightening the grip of her arms on his collar.
He was silently staring at her grievous face with his dismal dark gaze. Behind them, Eva was standing still with a shattered heart apprehending their bitter conversation, being all helpless herself. Her heart was aching hard to see both of them together but she couldn’t take a single step forward.
“I remember…every bit of your sacrifices…You…You were my only friend in this lonely, cursed life and possibly…the best friend I could ever ask for… But…for me…you were only my friend. I…I am sorry…but I can’t look at you the way you want me to…I am sorry for hurting you so bad…but…my heart already belongs to someone else… You deserve…someone better than me, Ivory.” He conversed in a low, dim voice, looking deep into her tearful eyes.
Slowly, she raised up her chin, breathing heavily with her tear-soaked grimace glaring at him sharply. “Someone loyal like me couldn’t make you mine…but you fell head over heels for the daughter of a traitor? You…You wanna make her our Luna? What a disgusting choice!” She grumbled out aloud shifting her glare towards Eva.
