My Destined Werewolf Mate - Chapter 221
CREAK!
Both sides of the magnificent silver wolf-head engraved wooden door at the entrance of the hallway of the mansion opened wider making a loud creak sound. The noise was echoed amidst the entire big hallway. Almost every maid serving inside followed by all butlers immediately gathered at the hall room, impertinently gazing at the door. Hearing the loud sound, both Aelia and Antonio rushed together arriving at the center of the room. Standing beneath the enormous golden chandelier and facing towards the door, they both imprinted a serious look on their grimaces.
From the exact entrance, holding a stern posture, Zeus gallantly walked inside the hall room holding Eva’s hand tighter. She seemed a bit timid and anxious with all the people gathered around them in a mass, fixing their dubious gazes upon them. Gulping her saliva, she sneakily glanced at Zeus once, who had a frozen gaze forward towards the people, especially at the ones standing at the exact midpoint of the room. She quickly understood, both of them are his parents from the frozen glare they directed towards him.
Soon, his motion halted as he arrived closer to both of them who were standing next to each other, scowling their faces at him. A few elder people too slowly marched inside, gathering at the hall room. Almost every single person present right there was curiously observing Eva from her head to toe and whispering among themselves. From their gestures, they seemed very confused which further puzzled her more.
Politely he bowed his head a little before them and rustled in a soft voice, “Mom, Dad…how you have been?” Watching his gestures distinctly, she too bowed her head cordially before them seeming very troubled.
Evoking a fierce glare towards Eva through her eyes, Aelia took a deep huff of breath out before answering him in a vague note, “what’s the meaning of this, Zeus?”
“Aren’t you pleased to see me back safe and sound?” He quickly reciprocated gently, holding a glum smile on his face. “I am back alive…it’s all because of her. I owe it to her–”
“How dare you?”
All of a sudden, before he could enclose his sentence, he was disrupted by the loud, thundering roar from Antonio. He was darting an immense blaze of wrath through his dark eyes and his powerful rumble startled everyone inside the mansion.
“How could you let a human step inside our mansion? How dare you, Zeus!?” He snapped at him fervently again.
Eva was shuddered in fear to withstand such a fierce roar from him amidst the quiet surrounding. Her limbs unknowingly started to quaver on their own making it difficult for her to stand still. Choking on her breath for a second, she tried to breathe out heavily.
Zeus could precisely understand her mental traumatized state and grasping her hand tighter before all of them, he sharply glared at his father, “she is not just a mere human. She is the one…I have chosen as my mate.”
“What!?” Scrunching her brows at his rigid declaration, Aelia blurted out her gasped words involuntarily, swirling her eyeballs at them.
Hearing his bold answer, Antonio stood reserved for a few seconds and narrow his vicious glare. “What kind of nonsense you are blabbering now?” His intense voice sounded very dense.
“It’s the truth that I wanted to confess before everyone in our pack. She is the one, I love with my all might.” Mumbling in a stiff tone, he stared intensively at him tightening his grip on her arm.
“A human as your mate? Have you lost your darn mind, son!!” Screaming out ardently, Aelia tried to approach viciously towards Eva with her giant footsteps.
Immediately guarding her safely behind his broad posture, Zeus moved forward as her protective shield stopping his mother to reach her. “If you want to approach her, you have to go through me first… Mom.” He declaimed aloud.
“ZEUS!!” Furious at his intervention, his mother yelled at him burning in the blaze of anger.
Standing timid and helplessly behind him, Eva nervously lifted her chin up to glance at his broad back shoulder that was protecting her at that moment from their profound rage.
“It’s not her fault from the very start. I was the one who chased after her and without even realizing it, I lost my heart to her. No other woman can take her place in my life…” Gawking sharply at his mother, he rustled out.
Antonio was quietly observing them for a while and seemed to be pent up with his alpha rage from inside. In an obscure, thick voice he asked him impatiently, “what do you want to conclude with your words?”
Hearing his blunt query, he took a sigh off and glanced at the other members of his pack assembled around them. Holding a tranquil expression, he proclaimed out, “My declaration is simple yet important to be known by the rest of my pack too…I have chosen Eva as my mate and it means…she will be the next Luna of our pack.”
Every single soul gathered at the hall room immediately froze with his striking declaration unable to utter a single word. For a few seconds, some of the elders among the pack even forgot to breathe in and blinked their lashes consistently in awe. All the maids and the butlers were looking at each other faces holding a shocked expression etched on their grimaces. Both Aelia and Antonio were spellbound for a while, glaring at them with an odious look in their eyes. A profound silence surrounded them all over and Eva could even listen to their intense breathing sounds that turned her much afraid.
“Ma-Master?”
A tall, old man almost seeming in his late 60’s, slowly stepped forward from the crowd curiously gazing at Zeus. He bowed his head anxiously before him speaking in a dubious tone, “Master, you mean…her…that is a human being will be our new Luna? We will have to serve a human? Ho-How is this possible, master? What are you even saying to us?”
“He is right, master!” A middle-aged woman with greyish black hair and wearing a long, silver-colored coat stood next to the man and proclaimed out her objection aloud in a sharp pitch. “We have been forbidden by our ancestral alpha to put our faith in any human! And…I…don’t know if you still remember it or not… I had to erase every memory of an innocent human according to your command just because of the forbidden sin that…we…fell in love with each other! The…pain of losing him still torments my heart till today but I couldn’t disobey your command. And now…you are bringing up a human and asking us to accept her as our Luna? How could you even ask something horrendous like that–”
AAEEEKKKK! SMAASSHHH!
Before she could complete her words, all of a sudden a horrific incident happened right before everyone in the room. An illuminant giant blaze of fireball suddenly hit that woman like a thunderbolt ripping out her abdomen splurting out a thick, gore enormous amount of blood! Shocked at the sight, Eva screamed out in fear, shut her eyes tight, and lowering down her head she grasped Zeus tightly from behind.
Baffled at the unexpected situation, Zeus fervently turned his head beside and observed that the fireball was directed from Aelia’s left palm, which was still pointed towards her. All the people assembled inside the hall room seemed to be shuddered in horror, lowering their heads down moved a few steps back at the corner of the room.
“Mom!? Wh-What’s this!!?”
“You should have killed her at the very moment you learned about her horrendous sin! Why the heck…you let her live until now?” Holding a demoniac small smirk on her plump lips, she raised her stiff gaze towards him, proclaiming boldly.
“What? You…You took away her life…just for that?” Jaw-dropped at her answer, he clutched his grip on her arms with a surge of fear arising inside his heart.
“The punishment for sin must be the same for everyone, that’s what an alpha should do! How could you slack on your sense of command? But…I can’t be the same towards everyone, especially not when it involves you! I am selfish! If…you hadn’t been my own blood…my own son whom I raised with my might, I could have done the same thing to you! I could have just ripped your chest off for choosing this DARN HUMAN!!” Rolling her dark, murderous eyes filled with rage, she screamed out frantically taking a small glance at Eva. She was shivering in fear behind Zeus, lowering her grimace down and breathing heavily.
“Pfft!” A malicious little smirk escaped her lips with her intense gaze fixated at her. Crossing her arms over her chest, she uttered out hoarsely, “this hopeless human is trembling just by witnessing a small murder…and you dare to make her our new Luna? What a ridiculous joke!?”
.
“At least…she will be a better and wise Luna than a monster like you!”
.
Everyone was startled at the sudden interrupting voice coming from the giant entrance door of the mansion and shifted their gaze in the direction. It was Czar, who standing still with a serious expression and a frozen glare towards Aelia.
