My Four Other Selves - Chapter 104
Zhang Yong was standing just in front of his house. He was there after so long that he couldn’t even remember his own house clearly.
“Come! Let’s go inside Zhang.” Ye Jun, his cousin’s brother said and started to walk ahead of him.
Zhang Yong stood there for some time before finally parking his bike and soon he followed Ye Jun and went inside the house.
As soon as Ye Jun went inside he started to yell with excitement. “Mom! Dad! Look who is here.”
Zhang Yong’s aunt and uncle were already sitting in the lounge. His aunt was serving his uncle breakfast when he called out for them and caught their attention.
“Who is it?” Zhang Yong’s uncle asked and the next moment Zhang Yong stepped inside.
Ye Jun gave them a big smile and seeing their excitement and that look on their face he wanted to let them be more curious but then decided not to tease them any more and soon he stepped at the right side letting the couple have a better look of the person he just bought with him.
Zhang Yongi’s heart was beating so fast. He didn’t know why he was feeling this nervous. It was the house where he had been living from childhood but now every thing just didn’t feel real.
He can’t get the feeling of being home back. He felt every thing was just too awkward and he wasn’t familiar with any thing any more.
Every thing felt new to him now. Returning home was the hug his soul had been calling for in stoic hope.
As soon as he entered the house he felt like he was to return to his cocoon for the starlight hours. It was his chance to become stronger amid the black, his heart singing all the clearer by daylight.
Slowly he let his surroundings register in his mind and he began to remember the time which he spent there. It was truly a good memory for him to always remember.
For some time no one said any thing and just stared at each other when finally Zhang Yong’s uncle broke the silence and got up from the sofa. “My boy.”
Those words left his uncle’s mouth as he got up from the sofa and started to take steps towards him. He said that with so much tenderness and warmth in each and every word that even Zhang Yong couldn’t help but let the smile appear on his face.
He was looking at Zhang Yong with full of emotions and love in his eyes and quickly went over to Zhang Yong and hugged him.
Soon Zhang Yong’s aunt also came towards him with open arms. She also had some tears in her eyes as she happily came towards him.
For a second Zhang Yong just stood there not knowing what to do? But when his uncle and aunt both hugged him, he sighed and started to hug them back.
They just stood there for some time hugging each other. Soft whimpers of his aunt and uncle could be heard but he just stood there without doing any thing. He was just too numb to do any thing.
He couldn’t understand what he should do. His uncle and aunt were the one who told him to get out of their house after he turned eighteen but now when he was back after a long time they were too happy and hugged him like there was no tomorrow.
From their faces he could tell that they regretted their actions, but what should Zhang Yong do now? Should he reply with the same love they were showing him today or should he remind them what they did with him?
How they told him to get out of their house only because their own son didn’t have a room after coming back from abroad. He was heartbroken when all of this happened.
Never in his life did he think that his uncle and Aunt who have been loving him and taking care of him since childhood will do this with him.
He badly wanted to push his uncle and aunt away from himself thinking what they did with him but then again the thoughts and memories of his childhood started to run in his mind.
He remembered how his aunt let him eat through her hands, how his uncle would play with him, how they supported him in every thing from school to any fights. How they provided him with all the essentials of life and then with this thought he just didn’t have the courage to push them away.
Zhang Yong ended up not pushing his uncle and aunt but he didn’t hug them back either. He just stood there with both arms on his sides and both hands in a tight fist trying his best to control his emotions.
His uncle and aunt hugged him for some time before finally after a while they pulled back and looked at each other with mixed emotions.
His uncle then cupped his face and kissed his forehead. Zhang Yong closed his eyes, he always missed his uncle’s warmth and his love. He always remembered how he used to protect him and love him.
Zhang Yong and his uncle were standing there looking at each other when suddenly a voice from the back interrupted their moment.
Both of them now only looked away. His uncle turned around to look at the person who called while Zhang Yong also looked at the source of the sound.
As soon as he looked at the person standing behind his aunt he frowned and wore an irritating expression on his face. There stood his second uncle with a smug look on his face. Zhang Yong didn’t want to meet them right now but now when they were standing in front of him he couldn’t help but roll his eyes at him and looked away.
His uncle realized Zhang Yong’s reaction after seeing him and he too frowned at that but then said to him from the back with a smirk plastered on his face. “How are you Zhang Yong?”
He said his name with so much hatred and jealousy in his voice that Zhang Yong didn’t want to even reply to him but then he ended up replying to him.
He looked toward his uncle with the same smirk he gave him a minute ago but , and said, “Great my little uncle! How are you? I hope you missed me?”
“Of course we did.” His aunt replied almost instantly not giving the chance to his second uncle to say some thing.
But even though she said that because of his actions and his words his second uncle and second aunt were a little taken back. They were shocked to see that confidence inside him. He was always a shy and a little boy, but now he was behaving like a mature man, who wasn’t afraid of them any more.
They were shocked to see that look on his face, like he was already aware of their tactics. He had that smile and that calm look on his face which made them shocked a little bit.
Zhang Yong stood there for some time before he moved towards them and let his second uncle and aunt hug him. He didn’t want to seem rude or do some thing like that. His uncle and aunt hugged him for a while before pulling back.
All of them looked at each other with fake smiles, but Zhang Yong had a smirk on his face. For the first time in his life, he was proud of himself. His second uncle and aunt always looked down on him and never missed a chance to insult him.
Even his cousins used to make fun of him a lot when he was a child. But now he wasn’t going to let any one look down at him any more.
He was in his thoughts when suddenly his second aunt said breaking the silence in the room, “We were just about to leave but since you are here why don’t we have our dinner together.”
“Sure why not” Zhang Yong said with so much hatred for his aunt in his eyes that his aunt and uncle narrowed their eyes on him.
Soon every one was led to the dining table by a maid and the food got served. No one said any thing in all this. His second uncle and aunt only kept observing him while his first uncle and aunt were busy ordering the maid’s how they should be serving the food.
He was in his thoughts when suddenly his second aunt said breaking the silence in the room, “We were just about to leave but since you are here why don’t we have our dinner together.”
