My Ghostly Romance - Chapter 19
The nurse’s knees almost gave out after hearing him say that. She now knew what she did wrong and wanted to apologize to him.
She raised her eyes to look at Lu He Yan and profusely apologized, “I’m so sorry! I was just a little unwell and wasn’t thinking carefully. Please, forgive me just this once!”
“I’ll never do this again!” The nurse cried her tears, asking for mercy from Lu He Yan.
But sadly, she asked for mercy from the wrong person.
“I’m not the one who deserves an apology.” Lu He Yan reminded her. “If Miss Yang forgives you, I will also treat this event as nothing but a nightmare.”
The nurse instantly turned around to face Yang Mi and repeated her words, “Please forgive me! I was not in the right mind and did something wrong!”
Lu He Yan stared at Yang Mi and waited to see her reply. Whether she excuses the nurse’s rude behavior or not, he wanted to see what she’ll do.
After seeing how she merely smiled while the nurse scolded her, Lu He Yan knew that the girl before him was not as normal and innocent as he thought she was.
In front of the nurse, Yang Mi was feeling happy at the ending of the nurse. Usually, someone would feel pity towards the person who apologizing sincerely and crying in front of you. But this was Yang Mi we’re talking about.
Not only did she not feel an ounce of pity towards the nurse. If she could only get her hands on her powers, the nurse would end up lurking in hell.
And even if she didn’t have her powers, beating up the nurse to death for disrespecting should be a justifiable punishment for her.
Either way, the nurse should feel grateful that the doctor arrived in time before she laid her hands on her.
Who knows what Yang Mi would do if no one saw her.
Staring back at the doctor, Yang Mi thought that it was indeed a good idea to stop her initial plan to beat up the nurse. The doctor seemed to be so close to the detective and if the detective heard the news of her beating up someone, wouldn’t that make her lose more love points than gaining any?
“Hmmm…” Yang Mi tapped her chin. “Should I forgive you or not…” She looked as if she was having a hard time finding an answer to a difficult riddle when she could just pick one over the other.
Beads of sweats fell on the nurse’s forehead and she tried to wipe it up. Under the cold gaze of Yang Mi, she couldn’t help but shudder and wished she didn’t walk through this hallway.
Suddenly, a gurgling sound coming from Yang Mi was heard. All three of them looked at her stomach and didn’t know what to do.
Remembering the reason why she went out, Yang Mi raised her eyes. “Ahh, that’s right. If you only listened to me at first and gave me something to eat, I would’ve forgiven you.”
“Unfortunately, you made me ask for food twice, and now, my stomach asked thrice.” She tapped the nurse’s shoulder and leaned to her ear, “So, why don’t you also try starving for once?”
The nurse almost fell on the floor. She didn’t think that her words could be thrown back at her. But this time, it felt worse on her end.
If she loses her job, the rumors that Lu He Yan was the one who fired her would circulate in the entire country. Her chanced to get a job in any hospital would disappear and she would be blacklisted.
Starving for one day wouldn’t be the only ending for her. She would lose her house and boyfriend. She would be begging in the streets and starving for months and maybe, even years.
How could the tables turn around so easily? She was the one who scolded the patient and she’s been proudly doing that for months and didn’t get caught. But because of this one mistake, she would end up losing a lot in return
Sensing the nurse’s losing hope, Yang Mi only smiled and approached the doctor.
She completely ignored the nurse as she said, “Doctor, I’m hungry. Can you get me something to eat?”
Her words seemed to play on repeat to the nurse’s ears. A stab of her mistakes dug her grave deeper.
Lu He Yan stared at Yang Mi for two seconds before nodding, “Of course but the food in the kitchen doesn’t taste good so I might as well take you to my office since I have some food recently delivered.”
Lu He Yan couldn’t refuse her. Her tone when she asked for food from him wasn’t the kind you use to ask for food. It was the tone of a woman used to order people around to give her what she wanted.
And with the way she handled the nurse, it only proved that the young lady Kaisar saved was no ordinary young lady. She was a vicious one with no mercy towards the people who did them wrong.
With what he witnessed that night, Lu He Yan’s thoughts were clear and official. If a ruthless lady like this were to be beside his best friend, any other woman who wanted a piece of her would only end up being hurt.
Kaisar will also be in the best hands. She would likely work him up like a cow and make him go insane. His innocence might get corrupted if he ends up being with this young lady.
Ahh… he should totally tell this to Madam Chu. Her son will now get a match that Lu He Yan picked for him.
“Doctor, why are you smiling like you’re about to murder someone?” Yang Mi asked after seeing him wickedly smiling because of his plans for his best friend.
Wiping the smile from his lips, Lu He Yan replied, “Oh, it’s nothing.. I was only thinking about helping someone tie the knot.”
