My Ghostly Romance - Chapter 35
Doctor Zhang continued to observe her condition even after the nurse came to that room. As he was the attending doctor looking after her. If he so much tried to shirk from his responsibility as a doctor, who knows what would happen to him. Besides, this lady was one of the few people who lived even after dying once!
Even if it weren’t done so by his hands, Doctor Zhang took some pride in having her as his patient. Thus, his desire to look after her reached another new level.
While the doctor was making a fuss over her, Yang Mi was confused why the doctor was carefully checking her condition when two other patients needed his attention.
There were three other people inside the room, excluding the nurse, the doctor, and herself. A female and male patient was also there. All of them sporting severe injuries that made her stunned at their resolve to look normal.
Sitting on the soft beige couch against the wall, a woman had her leg twisting in an ugly direction. Her hair was a mess while her eyes bulged out of its socket. But even with that horrendous injury, the woman looked as if she couldn’t see and feel the pain.
On the other side of the room, the man stood before the window, gazing outside while bright light shone on his body. He looked at peace only if there wasn’t anything wrong with his appearance.
Like the woman and Yang Mi, the man was wearing the patient’s clothes given by the hospital. However, his injury seemed to be far worse than the woman or Yang Mi. With his head tilting sideward, the flappy flesh that connected his head to his neck was almost threateningly about to rip even without him moving. His lips were also split apart to his ears.
“Doctor, aren’t you going to treat them?” Yang Mi asked the doctor who was about to retreat out of the room.
Doctor Zhang paused and asked, “Treat who?”
She pointed to the open space and said, “Them.”
The doctor and the nurse looked at each other and saw each other’s confusion. Was there another patient inside the room? But wasn’t this the third floor where only VIP rooms were located?
“Ms. Yang, there’s no one in the room.” The nurse told her, giving her a strange look.
Yang Mi silently looked at them. Then, she looked at the two other people inside the room. She froze upon realizing that she was the only one who could see them.
Shaking her head to them, Yang Mi said, “Ah, I might have seen wrongly.”
After the doctor and nurse closed the door, Yang Mi stared again at the other people occupying her room.
Strangely enough, even after knowing what they were, she didn’t feel scared at all. On the contrary, seeing these ghosts in front of her gave a calming sense of security inside her.
“Hello…” She greeted them.
The two ghosts didn’t seem to have heard her or perhaps, and they just wanted to ignore her.
But Yang Mi did not want to give up. She was alone inside the room, and with no one to talk to, she could only rely on her two ‘roommates’.’
“How long have you guys stayed here? I just got here this morning, according to my doctor. Aiya, sister, you’re going to hurt your arm like that if you twist it like that.” Yang Mi jumped off her bed and walked straight to the female ghost seated on the couch.
The female ghost finally turned her head at her, her eyes becoming redder and filled with maliciousness.
“Here, let me help you.” Yang Mi invited herself to sit beside the ghost as if it was the most natural thing for her to do. She took the compact mirror from the hand of the female ghost and started dabbing the pad on the powder. “Why are you putting more powder on your face, sister? Your face is already this white. Aren’t you worried you’ll get more pimples by doing this?”
The female ghost stared at her, seemingly confused at what’s happening.
“I’ll take some powder off your face if you don’t mind.” Yang Mi said as she took two tissues from the box and started to wipe the face of the female ghost.
If it were the original human soul who had been living inside this body before dying, she would’ve already run outside screaming bloody hell for seeing a ghost. But it was Yang Mi, a being that was both ghost and something else; these actions were done with familiarity and even without any awkwardness.
Soon after Yang Mi said these words, the female ghost froze. As if there were something in the head of this human girl sitting beside her.
The next moment, the man who was supposedly staring at the distance by the window suddenly disappeared from where he originally stood. A black shadow suddenly cover Yang Mi’s body, and when she paused her hands and looked up, she saw the man crouching near her feet, and even his head that was about to fall off his neck was already rolling on the ground.
“Uncle, if you don’t stop rolling around like that, you will feel sick later.” Yang Mi kindly told him. After all, when one took a ride on a rollercoaster, they would undoubtedly feel some nausea.
Thinking further, she added, “Well, you’re so eager to put on powder on your face, you should still wait a bit, longer. I’m about to finish putting powder on Older Sister’s face.”

Both the female and male ghost was rendered speechless. They didn’t expect that their actions were useless to this human girl.
They looked at each other before finally falling into mutual silence.
Suddenly, the two ghosts who should’ve been scaring Yang Mi to death vanished into thin air. Even the compact mirror in her hands was no longer there when she opened it.
Yang Mi: ??!
…
While Yang Mi was indeed alive and doing well, but not in a very positive way to other people’s eyes, there was another person who wanted answers.
Inside the hospital, Kaisar, who was supposed to be sent to the intensive care unit for further observation and recovery, was now fully awake without any complications. However, there was something he could not explain other than his fast and miraculous recovery.
Where had been the female ghost who has been chasing after her gone to?
…
The author has something to say: Kaisar’s part is next!
