My Journey As The Fox Head Clan - Chapter 24
After everyone was done, Yilas didn’t touch her food, she left it for Merth and Little Crow to finish her portion and went into her room for rest. Yilas went and laid in her bed, rolling around in it, even though it was only a few days apart, she had already missed her own bed. No matter how much she liked Lyth, sharing a bed was rather uncomfortable at times.
Yilas thought about Berhthort, and then Sabal and Viosus’s proposal, everything quickly causing her a headache. She decided to sleep it off but it wasn’t working either, the replay of the kisses she had today kept going on in her mind while tossing and turning in the bed.
How could she had been so shameless to lose her first and second kiss all on the same day, and to two different men?
Yilas covered her face with her hands and screamed silently with all her frustration when she suddenly felt a sharp pain in her abdomen. She had known this type of pain all too well, it was only one possible reason.
Yilas sat up and took a peek between her legs, there was no doubt about it, a thin stream of a red, warm liquid was slowly running down her white thighs. Yilas who had already been in a headache because of today and now even more stressed because of her period. She sighed out of frustration and thought of a way to help with the bleeding.
This was her first time having her menstruation in this world, she was worried if they had the necessary sanitary products. Yilas quickly got off her bed to avoid getting it dirty, she also went out of the room, sneakily running to find Lyth. She was the only other female here so maybe she would have the things Yilas needed.
Yilas ran across the yard, she snuck in Lyth room swiftly before anybody could see her. Luckily, Lyth was already in her room, preparing to go to bed.
“Thank goodness you are here… Can you help me with something Lyth?” Lyth who had already lifted her head as she saw Yilas ran in the room in a hurry, she got closer to Yilas and recognized the fragrant coming from her Master’s body.
“Master… I-I… I haven’t had a red cycle yet so I don’t know what to do.” Yilas sighed at Lyth’s answer. The “red cycle” Lyth meant was her equivalent understanding of menstruation, she had forgotten how young Lyth was herself, how could she forgot such an important fact. However, she just had to make do with whatever she could, Lyth could still be helpful.
After a while of thinking, Yilas asked Lyth to bring her lots of clean cotton flowers and some cow skin. It didn’t take more than 15 minutes for Lyth to gathered all the things needed, even though she didn’t question Yilas, Lyth was still curious about what her Master was about to prepare.
Yilas tear and fluffed the cotton flower onto flat strings and wooled them up into a pad, she had also managed to tear the cow skin to two uneven triangles and then she continued to ask Lyth to help her sow the triangles together into what looked like a panty. Lyth looked and helped Yilas along the process in amazement, she thought her Master was extremely smart and resourceful.
Lyth hadn’t had much knowledge about this type of thing since she grew up with only Yilas as her female role-model, and until now, this was the first time she saw Yilas had her cycle. She was so proud of Yilas becoming an adult female and also relieved that now she knew what to expect when the time came because of Yilas’s attentive explanations.
After successfully made her first underwear and pads, Yilas continued to prepare several other pads ready, enough to last her a few days. They also made a panty for Lyth as Yilas thought Lyth should prepare herself. She taught Lyth how to do everything like preparing the sanitary pads and Lyth was more than happy to learn.
When they were done and Yilas decided to go back to her room, it was already almost midnight. The moonlight was pretty and the cool night wind was pleasant, Yilas stood at the empty yard admiring the night, enjoying the breeze blowing on her occasionally. She hadn’t noticed some bright purple globes were watching her from the dark.
“You are in heat Yilas…” A soft, deep voice whispered out of nowhere and scared Yilas, her body jumped out of fear and her heart thought it had stopped beating for a second. Yilas turned her head to find Sabal had already stood close behind her.
“Sabal! You need to stop scaring me like that…” Yilas sighed and quickly hid the cotton pads behind her back. She looked as if she were a guilty kid who had just stolen some candy. She didn’t understand his word for being in heat, but she was smart enough to relate it to her auntie’s flow.
“You are in heat aren’t you? I can smell it from a mile away.” Sabal inched closer to Yilas, closing their distance to only a few centimeters.
Yilas secretly cursed this beast sensitive sense of smell as she nervously laughed, she was so embarrassed at his question. Moreover, her womanly cycles were something Yilas would felt uncomfortable talking to anybody.
“What are you talking about, your nose must be wrong then, I am definitely not what you said.” Yilas anxiously denied it, if her past life whenever she lied she couldn’t look at the person’s eyes, and it seemed like it still applied in this world as well. Yilas tried to walk past the man but unfortunately, he had quickly blocked her way.
Sabal bent down to level his face with Yilas, his interrogating eyes were questioning her from head to toe. He grabbed her hands which were hiding behind her back and took the cotton pads.
“Hey!” Yilas screamed out of surprise.
“If you are not then I will just throw this away, you don’t need it right now anyway.” He tastefully smiled at Yilas, seeing her small cute face being mad was one of his favorite things nowadays.
“Give it back!” Yilas yelled as she tried to get the pads back, but Sabal had already stood straight with his arm fully extended. Yilas jumped and reached but it was impossible for her to grab it since Yilas height had only reached below Sabal’s chest. “Don’t be so mean, give it back to me.”
“Haha…” Sabal let out a loud chuckle “If you hadn’t lied to me I wouldn’t need to do this. Let me see what you have here…” Sabal was about to open the neatly folded cotton, Yilas was panicky holding his arm.
“Stop it! Can you stop teasing me?” Yilas felt like crying because she was so embarrassed, her face was starting to get red and the scar around her eyes also turned pink.
One look and Sabal knew that he had gone too far, he only wanted to tease her but seeing as Yilas was about to cry, an invisible string tugged his heart. Sabal’s attitude changed immediately, he gave back the pads to Yilas and closely-held her chin, making her look him.
“Hey, Hey… Don’t cry! I’m sorry.” Sabal ran his fingers through Yilas’s eyelashes, it was soft but the heat was burning the tip of his finger. He felt really bad, he didn’t mean to upset her. “I’m sorry…” Sabal whispered as he gently pecked on her eyes but Yilas pushed Sabal’s chest putting some distance between them.
“Can you stop being so close to me?”
“You’re my female, that’s why I’m doing these things, I want you to feel close to me…” Sabal sighed, he wore a seriously stern expression on his face. Yilas had always seen him so smiley, she thought a sad expression he was wearing didn’t suit him at all. Though she was soft-heartened, Yilas needed to be tough and stand her ground this time.
“I’m not your female, I’m not going to accept it so can you think of something else you want, anything at all?” Yilas crossed her arms on her chest. Some people might think her decision was selfish but Yilas thought she had to put herself first in this lifetime. She couldn’t waste another chance.
“I’m not going to change my mind, and a promise is a promise, you can’t break it!” Sabal was also stubborn, he wouldn’t take no for an answer, his eyebrow furrowed deep desperately.
“Why are you so stubborn?” Yilas sighed as she murmured “Even if we get married, I am not going to love you, that will only make the both of us miserable.”
Sabal didn’t understand what Yilas meant by “get married”, he tilted his head, questioning Yilas.
“What is married? I just want you to be my female.”
“It’s something like that. If you want me to be your female, and if I agree, we will call that getting married. But both sides have to agree” Yilas quickly explained for Sabal though the concept of marriage in the 21st century was much more complicated and legalized.
“Then yes, let’s get married.” Sabal excited smiled, the sadness in his eyes a few seconds ago has completely vanished.
“In order to do that, two people have to love each other deeply.”
“I have loved you since the first time we met, isn’t that enough? After you bear my children, you will grow to accept me!” Sabal inched in closer and took Yilas hands, his long, thin eyebrows were still tightly squeezed together. He clenched her hands as he confessed, everything he said was the truth in his heart. At that instant, YIlas looked into his bright purple eyes, Yilas thought she had forgotten how to breathe.
“But feelings are more important than that Sabal… I don’t know what else to tell you.” Sabal knew well enough Yilas didn’t have feelings for him, even when he kissed her today, she had resisted it till the end.
“I don’t care… Let’s mate after your bleeding is gone. And if after that you still won’t accept me then I will stop pestering you about it.”
“No! It’s not something that you do with just anybody, I won’t allow it.” Yilas was frantically denying when Sabal lifted her off her feet and started to walk toward her bed. Yilas was scared that this man might do something rash to her.
She punched his chest and kicked her legs but all that force was useless in the embrace of this man.
“We can’t do it! Sabal, please, don’t do this!”
Sabal let Yilas onto her bed though he didn’t get into the bed himself, he squatted down next to it instead.
“Your body is weak, we will wait until your bleeding is gone.” Sabal rubbed Yilas’s head, the mountain of pressure was lifted off her chest. “Rest for now, tomorrow I will hunt a lot so you can recuperate all that energy.”
Sabal swiftly transformed into a giant snake and laid under the bed, leaving Yilas scared and shaking under her fur blanket. That night, it took several hours for Yilas to finally fall asleep.
