My Journey As The Fox Head Clan - Chapter 56
“I shall challenge you to the duel for the title of the headmaster.” Porsogon kneeled on the ground, his eyes looked directly and sincerely to his father. The male he had looked up to his whole life, his reasons for becoming a great leader, a great beast to his clan. But today, Porsogon would finally have the chance to surpass him and become something more than just an admiring son.
Porsogon’s words shocked the room, at first it was complete silence but an uproar immediately followed.

The night sky fell upon the training campground, she didn’t stop practicing her moves until the Madam Mame ordered her to.
Following Mame’s instruction, Mohsen brought them to a tent without anyone noticing and brought them food, she also specifically told Yilas not to run around alone just in case somebody might see her and report them to her spouses.
Aside from Bryok, Yilas was told Mame had 5 other spouses. At first, she was shocked but after carefully thinking, it made sense. Mame was a beautiful female, though there were some marks of time on her face, her beauty was still top tier compared to the younger beasts. Aside from her exotic beauty, Mame was the ruler of the Goat city, the head of the clan just like Yilas to the fox clan so it was normal for her to have many pursuers. Moreover, being in such a position, she needed protection from multiple spouses.
Though the polyandry system still felt weird to Yilas, a young girl who was raised in the 21st century, it had slowly settled in and became the norm to her.
After enjoying dinner together with Yilas, Mame went to see one of her spouse who was living in the camp, leaving Yilas alone in the tent.
Up until this point, Mame had treated Yilas with nothing but kindness so Yilas felt very comfortable around her. She even stopped thinking about escaping at this point. Though when it was time for Yilas to be by herself, she would often thinking of her clan, and especially Viosus. She prayed and prayed, hoping that he and the rest of them were fine and soon they will be reunited.
Lost in her thoughts, Yilas opened her cloak. It was dirtied by dust and sweats from a hard day of training. Yilas wipes her face on some cloth but there was no water to wash so she was about to go find some water. Then she remembered what Mame had told her about not leaving this tent.
Yilas took a peek out of the draping door. Inside the tent, it was dimly lit with some small oil candles but the outside was submerged in darkness, only moonlight shone the way.
“Nobody can see me in this, I will just find some water quickly and come back.”
With that thought, Yilas told herself to get out of the tent. She sneakily followed the edge of the tent, escaping the crowded living area. Luckily there was barely anyone outside at night. After realizing that fact, Yilas walked more comfortably and started to look around for any sources of water.
With just her instinct, Yilas walked mindlessly further and further away from the tent. After about 30 minutes of walking aimlessly, Yilas found a small pond, like an oasis in the middle of the desert.
Yilas happily sat down and drank some water then used the cloth to cleanse her face. The fresh cold water was much needed in the hot weather, Yilas was surprised that this place had a completely different climate even though it was only a few hours away from the castle.
“What are you doing here!”
Yilas jumped at the voice yelling at her, her heart almost exploded. Her body had gotten stiff but Yilas still turned around to the person who had yelled at her. Only then she could exhale when she found out it was Mohsen who had just scared her.
“Gezz… Mohsen, you scare me to death.”
When Yilas was trying to catch some breath, Mohsen looked at her from head to toes. Even though he hadn’t see Yilas’s face, her body had a very specific scent that he had remembered. So it was no problem for him to recognize her immediately.
Although he was angry, Mohsen was also shocked at Yilas’s appearance. She was in her complete civil form, even when she jumped in fear, her hair was as white as her skin, under the moonlight it even looked transparent. Her small slim figure was covered unrecognizable under the thick fur cloak, her elegant features complimented each other perfectly like the most beautiful harmony.
Though Mohsen had never imagined the nine-tail fox to look like this, he definitely understood why even Mame got bewitched by this female. Trying to recover his composure, Mohsen yelled at Yilas even louder this time.
“You stupid fox, what if somebody finds you out here!”
And without letting Yilas explained herself, Mohsen yanked her wrist forcefully, dragging her back to the tent.
“M-Mohsen… let go of me! Let me explain!” Yilas could only try to talk some senses back to the man before her arm got crippled. After a few steps, Mohsen slowed down and came to a stop, throwing Yilas’s arm back to herself like a spoiled brat throwing a toy in a tantrum.
“Ouch…” Yilas rubbed her wrist where it was turned pink because of the brute force.
“So what is it? this explanation of yours?” Mohsen turned around and stared Yilas down, his gaze was even scarier than that of Mame when she was angry.
Yilas fakely laughed and waved her hands to break the tension, she took a step back before explaining herself.
“Haha… you see, I was out of water for washing and I got thirsty and it didn’t look like there was anybody around so I…” The longer Yilas explained the angrier Mohsen looked, his eyes now were visibly burning with fire.
“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?” Mohsen shrieked “What kind of dumb excuse is that? If any beasts saw you or even detect your smell as I did. You probably would have turned up dead, and then I will be dead because Madam will kill me without mercy for letting this foolishness happened…”
Mohsen rambled on and on, Yilas closed her eyes bearing all the lecturing. Her body became smaller and smaller in front of the raging, spit-fire rabbit.
“YOU!… UGH! You!” Mohsen finally ran out of breath and insults, he couldn’t bare how reckless and stupid this female was.
All of a sudden Mohsen’s ears picked up a footsteps sound not over 10 feet away. He immediately grabbed Yilas and hid behind a big boulder of rock close by.
“Eeek!” Yilas couldn’t finish the sound before Mohsen covered her mouth with his hand, hugging her tight from behind, sheltered her whole body with his.
“Haha did you even hear what that old geezer said? YOU SHALL NOT PASS ANY CLASSES IF YOU’RE ON HIS LEVEL.”
“Hahahahhaha! Don’t forget the legendary, GIVE ME A HUNDRED PUSH UP ON THE SPOT!”
“HAHAHa”
Walking by were two young male beasts, one with a big lizard tail, one with a long camel’s neck and head. They kept joking loudly as they walked further away, it looked like they were on duty rounds when Mohsen and Yilas were here. When they were a safe distance away, Mohsen finally exhaled loudly and let go of Yilas mouth, finally letting her breath.
“Y-You almost suffocated me.” Yilas was huffing and puffing, trying to get some air back into her lungs. Mohsen didn’t notice how close they were just a moment ago, his heart started to race out of control not because of the risk of being found, but because of the small pretty creature that was pressed against his chest.
