My Journey Of Hunter X Hunter - Chapter 14
Last time on ‘My Journey of Hunter x Hunter’:
Tonpa fails to win the match so one point goes to the prisoners. Gon, Killua and Kurapika do their turn they actually win (well, no surprise there *cough* *cough*). Then, it’s Leorio’s turn and because of the femininity of his opponent he loses (typical Leorio). Finally, my turn comes and this is when the story continues…
Damn. What am I supposed to do now? My opponent is not in the original series or the manga. Plus, I don’t know what to do since I haven’t tried to see if I have any nen yet. Wait…I don’t have to since neither one of the Main Four have nen (how could I forget). Well, now I have nothing to worry about…except my strength…
If you’re wondering what kind of person my opponent is don’t ask me because I don’t know. All I can say right now is how he looks…which, to put it simply, is damn right bad and sad?
My opponent, who has a name tag which says ‘Giggles’, walks forward solemnly onto the tiled grey, square block thing (I don’t know the technical name for it). I think of looking at Kurapika for help but stop my head from turning. I will make this out alive, I’m sure of it. So, I walk onto the grey block thing and hear the grey steps (or rather see) disappear from behind me.
For a moment, there is dead silence until ‘Giggles’ takes something from his ragged, long jacket. Observing his frail, shaking hand, I can make out the object to be…shuriken!
Suddenly, Giggles swishes his dark long hair out of his face and throws his shuriken at me and they come at a pretty fast pace. I only have time to crouch down to the floor because my first option (jumping up into the air) would make my body have piercings in all the wrong places.
Glancing to Giggles, I was hoping to see him smile evilly, you know, like a scheming anime villain or something, but instead I see the opposite.
He’s crying with absolute depression written over his face! What the hell?
Giggles takes another set of shuriken from his coat and fires them again, faster and more urgently. I try to move out the way but, of course, I get hit by one of the shuriken, right in the left leg.
I grit my teeth. I don’t know about you but I am no anime hero. I don’t move on, I don’t have a plan, I’m not brave or heroic and I’m definitely not going to win or spout out any hidden magical powers.
“Sob sob.” I hear Giggles murmur over and over again.
I mean seriously, what is up with this guy? He really needs to get his life sorted out by someone (and that won’t be me coz I ‘aint no counselor).
“Look…Giggles…I’m going to be truthful with you…” I say as I try to ease my pain by rocking my body back and forth (like that will help).
“Let’s not fight…Let-Let’s be friends…” I complete my sentence as I look down to my leg, trying REALLY not to cry.
There’s another silence, a much longer one than last time but you know what? Giggles has stopped murmuring ‘Sob’ and he doesn’t look so sad anymore. Actually, he’s smiling. Guess I’m really good at-
“No.” Giggles answers as he throws the last shuriken in his hand.
