My Journey Of Hunter X Hunter - Chapter 16
I try to occupy myself by pretending to stretch my arms. I seriously don’t know what to say or do really. I feel like I’m not supposed to be here.
I look forward to Killua and Gon and witness Killua make a really sick move on his skateboard.
“If you hesitate on the first step you’ll hurt yourself.” Killua tells Gon.
“Got it.” Gon takes the skateboard from Killua carefully and with excitement (he probably hasn’t ever ridden one).
“Hey Kurapika,” I hear Leorio say.
“Once we’ve spent 50 hours in here, we’ll have fewer than 10 hours, right?”
“Yes. That’s correct.” Kurapika answers.
“That’s more than enough time to get out!” Leorio’s spirit elevates.
“You’re a fool.” Tonpa butts in.
“Heh?” Leorio looks at Tonpa, quite annoyed. I don’t blame him, I’m annoyed by Tonpa’s presence too. Just looking at him makes me sick.
“Phase three lasts for 72 hours, and each phase is there to pick out half the remaining candidates. So, on average, it’s meant to take 72 hours to complete the descend. This goes to show how much of an idiot you are.”
Leorio grits his teeth.
“Well, our chances of reaching the goal within 10 hours depends on the remaining trials.” Kurapika says.
“Yeah, that’s true.” Leorio sighs.
Right now I don’t think I have a say in this. It’s true that we only have 10 hours to reach our goal once we get out here but it would have been 12 if Tonpa would have came sooner down the tower step. However, we would have even longer time if SOME people didn’t mess up and threw away our time. Sorry Leorio.
“Anyway, we should rest. No point in worrying about the past now.” Kurapika says as walks to the sofa to prepare the bed for the night.
I decide to walk around to the book shelves but Leorio calls me out.
“Hey you.” He looks at me.
“Yes?” I blink, not knowing what to say.
“You don’t talk much, do you?”
I look at everyone else and see them staring at me curiously.
I gulp. I only live once right? (Or in this case twice). Guess it’s time for me to become a protagonist.
“No…but you do.” I stand up tall.
“What did you say?” Leorio stands up.
“I said you talk to much. Also, you’re rather loud, you know. Might want to keep it down. I don’t want to go deaf from you.”
“That’s it. You and me fight. Now!”
