My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar - Chapter 183
Yun Jhin watched as the duo left him alone as he pondered about the reconstruction of the sect, with his current influence he might be able to pull some strings to jump-start his sect’s reputation along with the recruiting promotion.
A sect needed disciples for it to work properly, the disciples were the lifeblood of the sect which would get him profits and other different things such as slaves or thralls that he could use for cultivation purposes.
At this point, he could get these things by himself but it could cost him time and a headache, if he had others to do it for him he could cut the time he used to gather these things and he could also continue cultivating at his safe headquarters where there would be no chances of random ambushes due to the enemies he made recognizing him. While there was a very low chance for him to be recognized if he didn’t reopen his sect, the chance was still there.
After all his reputation was as resounding as thunder in one’s ears and even if he changed his looks and acted differently his inherent aura and majesty could still be seen through by people that were familiar enough with him.
While he wasn’t entirely sure, he knew that there must be other reincarnated ones besides him and Yuan Fang, the other ones always liked to play low-key and see the others beat each other before they swooped in and took everything at the expanse of the two fighting parties, they were the ultimate fishermen.
That’s how most righteous organizations acted, they made it look like they were neutral in these types of conflicts on the surface but underneath they couldn’t bear to wait to pierce their teeth in the meat of the two parties.
The cultivation world was both cruel and profit-oriented.
Yun Jhin didn’t need to wait for long as the duo’s influence in the black market was pretty much the best, so the materials that he needed were immediately gathered and Yun Jhin flew with the new caravan towards the sect’s location.
The two old fogies walked behind Yun Jhin with their heads low which made the people who derived the caravans have bulged out eyes considering everyone knew the identity of these two old men, and the question was where were the other 3 elders?
Yun Jhin ignored the glances he was given as he indicated to the two old men that they should increase the pace so they could arrive faster at the meteorite.
The two old men finally glanced up at the drivers and glared at them as they motioned with their hands to increase the speed up!
The drivers didn’t say anything as they increased the throttle of the formation controlled caravans.
In around 3 days they arrived at the outer skirts of the territory and saw the newly constructed houses for the outer skirts disciples.
They then left Yun Jhin alone with the caravans and materials as they were instructed to return to their posts and deliver the same amounts of materials monthly for 7 months, also they were told to find more special materials so Yun Jhin could repair his formation properly.
Now that he had enough materials for construction Yun Jhin went ahead and started as he continued to destroy rubble and create houses accordingly, the houses then turned into palaces and other imposing buildings as he got further into the territory, as time passed, more and more houses and palaces and other types of buildings had risen in the territory as it gotten filled up, even the formation got repaired around to 20% of its original strength as Yun Jhin multitasked.
The sect was getting more and more imposing as the way Yun Jhin placed the buildings created a natural formation and with the formation that was put around the meteorite it created a formation within a formation!
The formation made by buildings was way weaker but it accentuated the strength of the outer formation by 15% when it would be fully done.
Finally, Yun Jhin reached the biggest palace that was whole and demolished it with his hands before constructing a new similar one.
As he got to the furthest into the territory he arrived back at the entrance to hell which was still wide open as the demonic energy seeped slowly through it but not invading the mortal plane by much, only those who would be near it would get influenced.
“You will have to move out of my territory… I don’t need you anymore.”
The door started to move as if it seemingly understood Yun Jhin but Yun Jhin grabbed it by its frame and started to exert strength against it, the door started to move up and down quickly as it wanted to escape his grip.
The door wasn’t sentient but it could move on its own when it perceived danger as it would need a long time to respawn if it was destroyed.
Yun Jhin ignored its struggling as he put more strength into his arms infusing them both with an immense amount of ki which swelled them to the same size as they were when he fought the old fogies in their formation.
The door started to struggle even harder as it tried to pry itself out of Yun Jhin’s grasp with all of its strength, demonic ki started to overflow out of the entrance which tried to invade Yun Jhin’s new body, corrupt it and devour it!
However the demonic energy was just like a tonic to Yun Jhin as his body started to strengthen at a quick pace breaking through the 4,000 ranks but stopping there as the low quality of the energy didn’t help him any further, he also didn’t use the energy for his cultivation base as it wasn’t pure enough for his likes.
“Ok, that’s enough from you!”
Yun Jhin crumbled the door like it was made of paper as he transformed it into a small ball of dark metal that he crushed in his palm until it transformed into nothing!
The connection between the mortal realm and hell was thus thoroughly severed and any mortal who entered hell would be stuck there until the next door opened randomly.
“Now that I have resolved this problem it’s time to finish the reconstruction of the sect… only the biggest palaces for the elders and myself are left along with the formation repairing.”
Yun Jhin finished the sect in about 3 years, finally remaking the whole sect as it was before, tall buildings of various colors rose on the surface of the meteorite and while some of them looked similar there were also a lot of them which were very different, the similar ones were living quarters while the different ones were palaces and treasuries along with the mission quarters and the other important buildings of the sect.
At first glance, you wouldn’t find this sect to be a demonic one but Yun Jhin already started the sacrifices to awaken the river of blood underground, under the buildings Yun Jhin had opened an underground area where a river of blood was flowing in his previous life and the blood river dried up due to not having any fresh sacrifices, the blood river was inherently connected to the formation and it activating would increase the offensive and defensive capabilities of the formation by 50%, it was also the reason Yun Jhin could defend and maybe even beat 5 peak God Realm experts at the same time.
He was the only one who could control it!
The blood river was connected with his soul and it only recognized it alone!
The new sacrifices that he made weren’t enough to awaken the blood river but it did start to stir up a little bit, he would need millions of people to be sacrificed for it to wake up and their cultivation bases should only be at the King Realm or above.
Yun Jhin’s body was floating above the dried up dark red river of blood as he opened his eyes showing two green pupils that were concentrating on the river below him, in his left hand there was a knife and in his right one a heart that was still beating, the beating heart started to quickly squirm out of his hands but Yun Jhin’s grip on it was too strong as he thrust the knife into it letting hot blood flow from it.
The blood river below him started to slowly move as the dark red color started to liven up into a bright one but seconds later it turned back to its original state.
Yun Jhin shook his head as his pupils turned to their normal colors and he flew through an opening in the underground area to appear in a lavish palace made from a dark material that reflected the light coming from outside leaving it in utter darkness.
Yun Jhin moved through the darkness as if the palace was fully illuminated and reached the center of it where the two old fogies from the Bazaar were kneeling on praying mats and meditating.
Yun Jhin’s appearance made the duo wake up and they both bowed to him at the same time.
Yun Jhin slowly walked towards the middle of the room where a new throne made of pale white bones was erected, he sat on it while he put his hand over his face and leaned to the left while saying:
“I guess it’s time to open the sect, what do you two think?”
