My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar - Chapter 209
Yun Jhin was finishing the preparations to leave the sect when Marthon came to him with some inquiries about the expansion expeditions that they had sent out already:
“Master, should we cancel all of the expeditions considering you will leave for an unknown period of time?”
Yun Jhin shook his head as he told him:
“No, they will know something is wrong if they see my expansion efforts suddenly stop and they will inquire about my situation one way or another, continue the efforts until we cannot physically ‘swallow’ any more territory, this way they wouldn’t think anything when we retreat our troops and stabilize our situation, even though I have thought you cultivation it seems I need to teach you more on how to think strategically or else this sect will go to ruin when I will leave.”
Marthon kneeled in front of Yun Jhin as he heard his words, he would never want to disappoint him as he started kowtowing while saying that he would surely learn everything that he needed to keep the sect flourishing.
Yun Jhin told him to get up then left him to do what he was told.
“Things are progressing along nicely… there’s only a little bit of time left and I should be able to leave.”
As Yun Jhin was finishing his business around the sect Yuan Fang was antsy to run away from the mortal realm.
************************
Yuan Fang felt like thousands of fire ants were drilling in his brain as he waited for news of Yun Jhin’s departure, he would occasionally glare at the nothingness in front of him as he waited, and finally after a long while of waiting some news were sent back.
“He is continuing his expansion attempts? Hmph, this is just a front so he could fool the other old-timers, if I wasn’t a wanted man I would have gone straight to the Brilliance Radiance and Light sect to denounce him.”
Yuan Fang thought that the time to make his move would come soon enough as he was finishing his preparations.
*****************
Yun Jhin was ready to leaves as he took another look at the meteorite under his feet and then disappeared as if he was never there, he wasn’t particularly fond of the sect, he found it just another means to an end as it made it easier for him to gain resources and standing in society with the help of the sect.
Yun Jhin started to locate the entrance to the celestial realm with the technique from Ukog’s memories.
The entrance to the celestial realm was unlike the one to Hell in the sense that it was always stationary but this led to the question of how no one was able to find it up till now.
From what Yun Jhin understood the gate was made from a special material that only those who visited the celestial realm could sense, the gate could also hide so well to the point that even if you stood in front of it you would never be able to see it if you didn’t qualify.
The actual location of the gate was in a desolate galaxy that no one lived in, that was also one of the reasons that no one had found it up till now.
Yun Jhin arrival in the galaxy didn’t trigger any attention as he travelled stealthily along with the fact that he didn’t tell anyone about the fact that he would leave besides Marthon meant that there was no chance for anyone to know about his absence, he already left his avatar at the sect so even if they attacked they would be reduced to a state where they couldn’t penetrate the outer layer of the sect.
As Yun Jhin searched through the empty galaxy for the gate to the celestial realm Yuan Fang finally was going to make his move!
Yuan Fang and Duritz’s disguised bodies appeared at the entrance of the blood throne sect as they wanted to infiltrate as rogue cultivators who wanted to join the sect.
The guarding disciple at the outer layer of the sect who was just doing his job regularly looked at the two of them and said in a monotone voice:
“The sect is currently full and takes no more applicants, you can go to a branch sect and join there.”
He had to deal with this type of stuff so much time that he had no more emotion in his voice when he said it.
Yuan Fang came forward and said with a smile on his face:
“Ah but you see we are the people that your sect master would look for, our talent is through the roof!”
The guarding disciple sighed, there were tons of people who said the same thing to him and when they took the talent test they ended up being either average or just a little bit above which wasn’t anything that Yun Jhin was looking for.
But it was his job and he couldn’t deny those two hopeful disciples their right of being tested.
They walked into the formation and the formation immediately started to shine with a glaring red light that resembled viscous blood, the moment they entered the formation bounds Yun Jhin’s avatar opened its eyes as he felt rather puzzled:
“They are here? Did their brains short-circuit?”
Yun Jhin’s avatar couldn’t find any of Yuan Fang’s current actions to look sane, even though he might have gotten wind of his main body leaving that didn’t mean he couldn’t return… it was true that he couldn’t use his new technique as the distance between the empty galaxy and where the blood throne sect laid was beyond three galaxies and too far away for Yun Jhin’s current capabilities to teleport it wouldn’t take him much time to cross that distance and teleport back.
What did they think they could do in such a short time, they might not even be able to enter the sect if he disallowed them too!
But he wanted to see what they were up to so he decided to let them inside as new special ‘recruits’.
He didn’t care if they went on a rampage and killed people or destroyed buildings as long as he could capture them it would be worth it.
Their research value was off the chars both of them being from the celestial realm!
Yun Jhin watched as they were outfitted with the sect’s colours and how they melded in with the crowd that were either out to trade or just relax, as time passed they both disappeared as they appeared in the deeper parts of the sect where they revealed themselves.
Yuan Fang looked around puzzled as he sent a mental message to Duritz:
“This was the location of the portal to hell right? Why is it missing?”
Duritz moved his shoulders indicating that he didn’t know, his memory wasn’t failing him so the portal must have disappeared!
Yun Jhin realized what they wanted to do the moment they arrived at that peculiar location, he had a smile on his face that he couldn’t conceal as he sent them a direct message:
“Looking for the entrance to hell?”
Yuan Fang started to shake as he heard Yun Jhin’s voice coming from everywhere around him, he thought that he would be able to jump into the portal and leave before Yun Jhin could identify him and Duritz but the portal disappeared!
His eyes reddened as he glanced at Duritz and sent him another message:
“Do it!”
In Duritz’s eyes a hint of reluctance flashed before his form started to morph, he grew to ten meters tall as his muscles inflated to gigantic proportions according to his size, his hair turned white as his body started whitening but his aura increased to the point that Yun Jhin’s avatar felt extremely threatened by it!
Yuan Fang shook his head seeing Duritz’s situation and started to run away!
Duritz went on a rampage destroying palaces with abandon and killing whoever he could get his hands on, he would chop them up with his hands then open his mouth and absorb their quintessence in himself recovering his albeit crippled form.
Yun Jhin’s avatar eyes narrowed as he appeared above the sect, Yuan Fang couldn’t be caught if he wanted to take care of Duritz, the man already disappeared going god knows where and Yun Jhin’s avatar couldn’t split its attention into two fronts at the moment.
“Coming looking for wool and going home shorn.”
Yun Jhin shook his head, they wanted to escape using Hell’s entrance knowing that he wouldn’t want to follow them in due to Hell’s willpower being antagonistic against him but they didn’t know that he was able to destroy the portal, normally an average God Realm cultivator couldn’t destroy or even seal the entrance but Yun Jhin had the methods that he had kept hidden from the eyes of others for such a long time that they didn’t even know that some of those methods even existed.
Looking at the rampaging giant in front of him made Yun Jhin frown, his strength was both faltering and increasing at the same time as he ate Yun Jhin’s people but Yun Jhin didn’t stop him immediately as he closed his eyes and started to move his hands from down to up just like a flowing river.
Out of the cracks in the meteorite, blood started to seep out continuously as the underground river burst forth!
Yun Jhin’s avatar had summoned the blood river from the cave so he could fight with it, in this situation he knew that he wouldn’t be able to fight this behemoth in front of him with his normal capabilities, not even his main body would be able to do that!
He sacrificed his lifespan to the point that he might fall over and die any moment for this burst of strength, and he wanted to continue keeping Yun Jhin occupied by recovering his life span with bloody sacrifices.
Yun Jhin’s avatar eyes hardened as it looked over at Duritz’s gigantic form and he engulfed himself in the bloody river as a transformation started to occur as a cocoon appeared!
Duritz felt immense danger as he glanced towards the blood-red cocoon that was hovering in mid-air, his eyes flashed as he lunged towards it ready to crack it open and kill Yun Jhin’s avatar which was transforming inside!
