My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar - Chapter 210
Duritz could feel the cocoon start to shake the closer he got to it when suddenly a spiked hand-inserted itself in his stomach coming out his back and still going for around 20 more meters before it stopped elongating.
Duritz didn’t say anything nor did he react as he took a hold of the spiked hand and tried to take it out of his stomach forcefully.
The cocoon broke open, a bloody gigantic monster that was full of spikes came out, it had a shell that made it look like a hedgehog but inside it was Yun Jhin’s avatar which was controlling the whole thing.
The monster roared as its spikes started to shoot from its body and inserted themselves directly into the vital parts of Duritz’s body.
As the spikes entered the gigantic body they started to dissolve as they softened and entered his body as a liquid through the newly generated gaps.
Duritz could feel his body starting to move by itself as Yun Jhin’s avatar moved his hands accordingly making him feel like a puppet on strings!
It wasn’t a good feeling for him, he already hated being under contract for Yuan Fang and that he had to sacrifice himself because of his master’s foolishness, who would know that Yun Jhin was able to destroy the entrance to hell?
The fact was that Yun Jhin could only destroy it because he was so familiar with hell considering he had its willpower inside him for some time combined with his wealth of experience and techniques was the sole reason he could destroy the entrance.
While Yuan Fang knew that Yun Jhin became antagonistic with the denizens of hell he didn’t have all of the details, he didn’t have a perfect information network even though it was considerably wide.
Duritz’s aura intensified as he howled to the sky trying to destroy the bindings that were currently installing themselves in his blood.
Yun Jhin’s blood technique was very toxic and it could infiltrate the bloodstream of those that it infected very quickly if it reached his heart he would become Yun Jhin’s puppet permanently!
Yun Jhin’s monster started to sag as if it’s lost most of its energy, while the attack was rather deadly the toll on the blood river’s energy reserves was rather huge, however, the monster started to become revitalized immediately as the disciples below started to throw herbs, vials and other things into the monster.
The monster’s revitalization was slow but its strength increase was obvious as it wasn’t sagging anymore, it started to move closer to Duritz’s immobilized body slowly trying to take over it with the help of the seeds that he already planted inside him.
Duritz’s body started to shake as he tried to expunge the blood that infiltrated his body but he was already at his wit’s end, his already short lifespan was running on fumes every second he wasn’t devouring any life force.
Duritz could feel his eyes getting heavier as his body was slowly starting to shrink to normal proportions, he shook his head one last time, he had finished his contract with Yuan Fang and saved his life… he was done here.
Yun Jhin dissipated the monster of blood as it seeped through the cracks in the earth back into the underground cave leaving it there to regain its used energy.
The avatar hovered over Duritz’s body which was slowly transforming into ashes as the overdraft life force was destroying him at a cellular level.
His arm directly went into his chest and extracted his heart before pumping it full of ki resuscitating it slowly, the severed heart started beating as blood dribbled down on it stopping its decay and transformation into ashes.
Yun Jhin smiled seeing the heart and then burst into laughter as he disappeared back into the cave below, he had some things to do…
The deaths of the disciples didn’t affect Yun Jhin much, around 500,000 died by consumption while quite a lot of them got just injured, it was a pretty good outcome considering he had gained the heart of Duritz who was originally from the celestial realm and he had high research potential.
It was unknown if Yun Jhin could actually reach the celestial realm so it was better to have something else to rely on.
********************
Yun Jhin’s main body had been informed about the actions of the duo but it couldn’t care less as it was looking for the entrance around the abandoned galaxy.
His senses were tingling the further he flew into the galaxy but he still couldn’t find the entrance!
It was as if something was making him unable to reach the place, something was blocking him and he didn’t like it!
He concentrated with as much power as he could but he couldn’t see anything regardless if he arrived at the location in Ukog’s memory or tried to search somewhere else, there was nothing in this galaxy!
He had been running through the whole galaxy at extreme speeds looking through every nook and cranny to find nothing!
But Ukog’s memories wouldn’t lie, he frowned as he suddenly got some information from his avatar, Duritz had been taken care of and the only one that remained was Yuan Fang and his other cronies that he didn’t get to meet, but he guessed that they would be way weaker than Duritz and Ukog if he didn’t care to bring them with him when he tried to escape to hell.
Yun Jhin creased brows started to relax as he heard that his avatar got the heart of Duritz… Duritz’s tribe could be considered somewhat of royalty in the celestial realm, while it wasn’t any high-type of royalty like a ruler of big land, they were still of noble blood, maybe he could use his heart to find the entrance and open it?
Yun Jhin sent a message for his avatar to teleport to him using Ukog’s technique which he didn’t bother to name.
It took around 5 days for the avatar to arrive with the heart, it looked a healthy red as it was passed to Yun Jhin’s main body within a glass container, the heart was beating strongly as it started to react to its surroundings.
Suddenly light started to shine in front of Yun Jhin, the light was of bright blue color and it shined so strongly that it stung Yun Jhin’s eyes, which was rather impressive considering Yun Jhin could place his eyeballs in a small sun and they still wouldn’t sting at all at his current level.
Yun Jhin protected his sight as he looked away and when the light disappeared he could see a bright blue gate made of unknown materials to Yun Jhin, it was half-opened and the closer Yun Jhin put the heart the more the gate opened, but the moment Yun Jhin tried to step through the door it almost closed with him in it!
Yun Jhin frowned as he took a few steps backward, if he didn’t retreat at an opportune time he would have been crushed in the door and who knew what would have happened?
Was his bloodline seen through by the gate? Was it only reacting to Duritz’s heart?
Yun Jhin’s face scrunched up as he realized that he might not be able to visit the celestial realm as there was no way for him to transplant Duritz’s bloodline in his body only with his heart alone, while the heart was good for research it wouldn’t be useful for experiments.
It had a good amount of DNA but not good enough for Yun Jhin to work his magic with, even though he had evolved accordingly to a different type of human, one that was both devilish and celestial at the same time with the help of the knowledge that he had gotten from observing the system at work, that didn’t mean that his bloodline was recognized by the door in front of him.
From what he could see the moment the door scanned his bloodline and it didn’t find it in its database it would close itself immediately, so while it scanned both Duritz’s bloodline and his at the same time meant that he couldn’t go even if he held Duritz’s heart.
If he transplanted it to his body it wouldn’t bring him Duritz’s bloodline nor would it change his to something that would resemble anything in the door’s database.
Yun Jhin glared at the door before sighing and shaking his head left and right, his avatar slowly returned to his body fusing with it, he put the glass container which stored Duritz’s heart back into his spatial dimension before taking one more glance at the disappearing celestial entrance before gritting his teeth and leaving.
He put two fingers on his forehead as he started to concentrate on the nearest energy code that he knew before disappearing… it seemed the celestial realm was still out of Yun Jhin’s grasp for now… but he would come back as he only gave up on it temporarily.
