My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar - Chapter 232
Yun Jhin could felt something was wrong as he got his hand stuck again, he tried to remove his hand only for him to find out that it was getting frozen, the old man laughed inside as he looked at Yun Jhin then he sent a ki wave to sever the bonds that were holding his son captive, however, the wave only cut a little bit into the bones before it dissipated by itself.
Yun Jhin severed his hand that was stuck inside the man’s back before regenerating a new one, his eyes wandered towards his frozen hand which was slowly getting absorbed into the old man’s back, he could feel that after he absorbed his hand that he regained some of his energy.
This was one of the rarer times that Yun Jhin didn’t think things through, he would have never thought that the celestial realm would host such techniques of absorption but it seems he was underestimating the evil that these people were capable of. After all the Soul Emperor originated from the celestial realm and by his techniques he wasn’t any kind soul.
It seemed that merchants would always be insidious no matter what kind of peak they reached.
Yun Jhin could feel some type of connection being created to the old creep in front of him but he immediately severed it with his soul willpower.
The old man frowned as he felt his attempt on connecting to Yun Jhin’s soul fail, he looked towards his back only to find out that Yun Jhin was missing.
“Over here you fossil.”
Yun Jhin appeared in front of him as he hit him with a haymaker over the head making his body fall to the ground but before he could hit the ground Yun Jhin appeared below him since he was falling face-up Yun Jhin put his hand up piercing directly into his abdomen combining the force of him being thrown down with a sharp attachment to his hand thus penetrating the man’s stomach and putting his hand through his back.
Yun Jhin chuckled as he chucked the man towards the bone forest where the bones started to move as if they were alive, the old man’s eyes were wide as he tried to move but his spine was severed when Yun Jhin pierced through his abdomen and he didn’t have enough time to regenerate it.
The bones pierced through his whole body as they multiplied while his body started to become shriveled like a dried prune.
Yun Jhin then appeared in front of the father and son as he put his hands on their foreheads creating two more trusty slaves.
The moment he finished enslaving so many families another batch of destiny struck him like an avalanche as his cultivation base was ready for another breakthrough!
He closed his eyes as he raised his hand to the sky unleashing his mental field and conquering every mind of the weaker citizens, the stronger God Realm experts couldn’t be controlled this way but his squad already made short work of them, only the patriarch and ancestor were considered to be problems and he took care of both now.
His eyes wandered down towards the plaza as he saw more God Realm experts being brought to the open by his goons, he appeared down as he put his hands on each of their foreheads enslaving them as well…
Now he had full control of all the 4 guardian families!
Now that he had a better overview of the whole history of these families by sharing the memories of the slaves he finally understood why the 4 sacred beasts were thrown down from the celestial realm!
It was mostly because the humans revolted against them, after a while, they were overpowered and thrown out being replaced with the current guardian families, they were the actual guardian beasts of the celestial realm, and back then the gates that lead to the mortal realm weren’t as tightly sealed as they were now, everyone could come and go and this leads to the current pitiable situation of the sacred beasts.
Yun Jhin felt there was more to this than these people knew, while the guardians knew a little bit the imperial family had the most knowledge about this event.
However, it wasn’t time for him to snoop around for such information, while he was rather curious about the details he already had finished his deals with the sacred beasts and he didn’t have much use for them anymore… and if he wanted them on his payroll he would just enslave them just like he did everyone else.
It didn’t take much time for Yun Jhin to finish sorting his new troop’s combination along with getting whatever resources he found useful from the merchant family, now that he had finished the main plan could go on, but first, since he already gained the destiny of the four families he would be able to break through already, Yun Jhin was sure that the prince didn’t think he would be able to get complete genuine control of the families thus getting access to their destiny or else he might have been cursing right now.
Since he still had time to contact the prince he first got himself the best place to have a breakthrough in the ice fortress before he entered closed-door cultivation.
The 6th stage of the God Realm 32 laws that needed to be learned and then fused with the body, however, Yun Jhin already had complete mastery of those laws due to the inheritance of the Soul Emperor, his body started to glow with a multicolored light as he looked towards the ceiling of the cave he was currently in, it was extremely cold and there was darkness all around him, he was the only source of light in the cave.
He was in the cultivation place of the ancestor it had the best feng-shui in the fortress and a huge accumulation of ki.
The ki in his surroundings entered his body as the multicolored light left it being propelled by the ki into the skies to create a beam of energy that attracted the laws of the celestial realm!
The moment this happened everyone would have been alarmed but considering they were all Yun Jhin’s slaves and the fortress was rather remote there was no problem.
Yun Jhin could feel the laws of the celestial realm quickly converging above the fortress in the dark cloud-filled skies.
A storm appeared at the top of the fortress as different shapes started to transform into the sky, the laws took the image that they were most associated with before they ‘smelled’ around Yun Jhin’s beam of light.
At first, things went well then the laws started to reject Yun Jhin, he was an outsider and this was also his second breakthrough in the God Realm, the first breakthrough came from the fusion between his main body and Yun Duritz and it was more of natural evolution but now Yun Jhin accumulated destiny and ki while he comprehended the laws of the realm to reach his current breakthrough.
Thus he lived more in the realm than before and Yun Duritz’s aura didn’t fool the laws anymore, those were also laws that he wasn’t really familiar with as he never interacted with them, so they were rather wild. In conclusion, he either had to tame them or forcefully fuse them with his body to breakthrough at this point, or else he would lose all of his accumulation.
The things and beings made of laws above the fortress were sniffing around Yun Jhin’s beam then one of them opened its ‘mouth’ wide trying to take a bite from it.
Yun Jhin snorted as he teleported near it and coated his hand in purple-colored ki before grabbing the law by its mouth and inserting his coated fist into its opened mouth.
The law started to struggle but Yun Jhin was already absorbing the law into his body using the ki coated hand, he was connecting with its quintessence as he unleashed his understanding of the law forcefully taming it while absorbing it with his body, his actions startled the other 15 laws as they tried to run away only for Yun Jhin to snort.
A tall barrier appeared blocking all of the laws from escaping, they rammed themselves in the barrier trying to break it but Yun Jhin’s battle power was already nearing the peak of the God Realm so their efforts were pretty much futile at this point.
Yun Jhin’s eyes were glowing as he absorbed one of the laws then moved to the others, 2 laws, 3 laws, 4 laws.
7 laws, 15 laws, 16 laws fully assimilated into his body. Yun Jhin clenched his hands as he lifted both of his arms towards the sky expelling an immense amount of ki dispersing all of the clouds around the fortress letting the sun finally shine on the ice-covered fortress.
Bone popping sounds could be heard from his whole body as he broke through reaching the 6th stage of the God Realm, he expelled a breath that created a storm dispersing the clouds 600 kilometers around the fortress and its surroundings.
“Finally, 3 more stages until I reach the peak of the God Realm… I’m getting close and closer to my former peak.”
3 unlit stairs appeared behind Yun Jhin, his avatar was 6 stairs above, just 3 more stairs… and he would be able to enforce his plan to reach the realm above and break through the stairs that were limiting him to this mortal shell, no matter how godly or strong he was he still felt time pass, he still felt his body aging, no matter how slow it aged it still happened. This was something he truly hated and despised, he despised his own mortality, so to quicken things he took another paper bird out of his clothes as it was time to finally contact Prince Markus again, it was time for Hell and the mortal realm to invade the celestial realm!
