My Last Hunt - Chapter 387
Class Test 17
Qiao covered her with his aura and hurried to move away. He was stunned to see her in the North Sepedra. Lowa was horrified thinking that the beast finally found her and now Lord Zim would threaten her again. She was trembling. The beast covered her entire stature. It was strange though.
Qiao did not immediately act. As soon as the black keeper went away Qiao removed cover from his face. Lowa got shocked to see him here. She was blinking her eyes with the disbelief. “What are you doing here?” Qiao expressionlessly asked. The words of the elder were pounding his head. He was not supposed to mercy even if his father was in front. Every traitor should meet the ruthless death.
“I am confined here, please help me escape. I will explain the circumstances.” Lowa pleaded. Qiao nodded. He knew that the girl was not insincere toward the Hightown however he was curious to know how she ended up here. “Wait if the circumstances are not hard. I will come back.” His tone was not polite. He was not willing to trust anything especially when he was on his mission.
The girl was only level six and the question how she came that far from the Hightown was drumming his head. Lowa showed her signature obedient behavior. She silently walked back in her room. The mistrust in his eyes was enough to make her silent forever.
Qiao saw her leaving. He was caught in dilemma. As far as he knew the girl, she was sober and ambitious. He was unwilling to blame her anything without investigation. He again covered his face and moved toward the council member space. There was no one at the guard. Fortunately the entrance of the space was open because Colon was sitting in the main hall after returning from the chase.
Colon could not further chase behind because Hiko find out about him. Now it was standing in front of the Lord Zim. Lord Zim was pretty angry. “There are two pressing matters and none is solved yet. Where did the spy disappear? And the assassin beast is still missing. Colon you cannot simply excuse that you were uncovered by them.” His mood shot up and he admonished Colon.
“I hope the assistant would return with some useful information.” Colon spoke embarrassed. “It should else Hiko would spout nonsense in tomorrow’s meeting. It would definitely talk louder about the missing spy.” Lord Zim spoke his concern.
“I can go and surround cave, whenever Hiko appear there I will kill.” Colon gritted his teeth. This beast was becoming sour spot for Lord Zim and Colon was not very happy about it. Qiao was able to enter in the space. It was no different from the other parts of the building. The space was made to look similar of human room with some fresh stinking of the beastly presence.
After making sure that the space was empty, Qiao started searching the key. He could see despite the utter darkness. The desk has small drawer, Qiao did not take much effort and found the key. It seemed entering and leaving the building was bigger challenge compared this. Saving the key he secretly left the black building.
It was typical key of any household however there was small difference. The special sign was carved and this key was single key for the lock. None could design another similar key or the lock. This was limited for Colon and its house. Almost all beast living in the human settlements were cautious. It was strange that they lived in the open caves but when it come the human houses, they were extremely cautious.
Qiao was heading back. He was sure that he would need to return back and leave the key at its expected place before Colon notice it. The thick forest was as usual silent. The various dens of the beasts were scattered in various parts however most parts of the forest remained unused. These parts were densely populated with the thick forest and the beasts shape shifters. They found it hard to take flight in the middle of the thick forest.
It was blessing for Qiao. Literally no one would object his journey. It did not take much time and he reached in the cave where Hiko was hiding. At first Hiko was immensely shocked to see. “You did not confront black keepers?” Hiko asked stunned.
“I took precaution. What is the direct distance from here towards your cave? I need to send the key back before Colon notice it.” Qiao reminded. Hiko stood up and hurried. They were going to bring the dead body and plant it in the settlement.
It was not easy to bring the dead assassin without coming in to notice of others. The body was huge. They secretly took the journey. Colon and Lord Zim were planning what they should do to stop the eye sour hurting them.
All matters of the North Sepedra were slowly getting irregular because Lord Zim was busy with the personal matters. It was third day that Lord Zim did not take flight over any part of the North Sepedra. It has significance when it comes to keep the hold on the beasts.
Qiao was keeping eyes when Hiko dragged the body. They reached at the north den, the house of council member Colon. Hiko opened the lock then dragged the body inside. They planted as if Colon wanted to hide some crime. It took half of day however their plan worked until now.
“I will return to my den because staying in the cave is not wise. You will go back towards the black building.” Hiko patted his shoulders. Qiao got alarmed because there were not wings at his back. Hiko might get curious or mistrust. Qiao intentionally loosened his grip on the key and bent to pick it up.
This saved him from the big hands of the beast. Hiko nodded. They separated for their separate missions. Tomorrow will bring some new challenges for the North Sepedra.
