My Last Hunt - Chapter 391
Class Test 21
Lord Beast fell in dilemma. If he could not sift out the spy the council members would start blaming him. His year’s long loyalty with the beasts was at stake. The situation was getting tenser. No matter Hiko proved hindrance on many occasions however at this moment, all the council members were admiring his suggestion.
They were not worried to prove their loyalty. “This would clean up the chaos created by the spy. Once we are able to point out then the North Sepedra could put forward the necessary options how to welcome the beast from Frost Fire Continent.” A council beast spoke in bushy voice.
Others nodded. “I agree and the beast would understand if we could not provide the information sent by the spy. Frost Fire Continent itself is facing the secretive resistance by the hunters. It is no more concealed for us. I am sure they will have another source for the information.” The council beast argued.
It was concrete like rock that the Frost Fire Continent did not rely on their provided information. They have their several means. By keep dragging this matter would not earn them much instead it would provide enough of time to the spy to create commotion in the North Sepedra. Lord Beast was silent for some time.
“Since all of you agree on this suggestion we will begin this search of the spy from the loyal council members. If anyone found guilty then it would be killed on the spot. Do all of you agree?” Lord Zim spoke stern. They nodded their heads in approval. Lord Zim announced this because he was sure that Hiko would get killed because the missing assassin beast was killed by Hiko. Lord Zim was thousand percent sure.
This scenario might earn him two advantages in the end. First of all the council members would pass through the test to prove their loyalty while he could search the cave and the human settlement of Hiko. “To make it fair let’s start this progression from your right hand loyal beast Colon. I am sure senior Colon has no qualm on this suggestion.” Hiko spoke very genuine and casual.
Colon looked at Lord Zim and nodded. It was least involved for anything much less any wrongdoing. It was confident however in its head boiling waterfall was brewing ready to spill out and kill Hiko. Hiko was added in the council members because from some time it had been speaking in several matters bringing the beasts of his den and shout protest to get the attention.
Lord Beast added because it was the rule. The Frost Fire Continent did not allow any Lord Beast to act reluctant when the common dens and their leaders were dissatisfied with the Lord Beast and his decisions. “Your separate space in the building and the human settlement in the den will be searched in our presence.” Lord Zim spoke. “My loyalty is with the Lord Beast and North Sepedra. I will follow your orders.” Colon slightly bent its head.
They stood up to begin the search. The separated space was clean of any doubtful material or signs which could point out something off. Colon casted side-glance at the beast Hiko. Hiko did not show any expression instead he acted as natural as it could. “As expected from loyal beast.” A council member spoke. Little later they fled toward the human settlement of its den.
It had been few days that Colon did not visit the den and the human settlement. The things were problematic in the main hall. Now they were sure to solve one by one.
…
Trifire Island
Felon was thrown in the Trifire island. Most parts of the islands vomit out lava, craters were formed with the time. The lava rarely spill out of the craters however it was not perfect for living so Lord Beast selected it as imprisonment place for the criminals. Most of them were thrown because Lord beast was not ready to listen their pleadings.
Trifire beasts were the last who survived the ordeal of the prison. Most of the beast died with the time. There was nothing to eat and keep the breathing life stable. It was challenging to struggle every day and count the time left for the ending of the punishment. Trifire noticed the beast flying over the sky. Before they could think that perhaps the imprisonment was ending, they saw Felon falling in the middle of the ground near lava crater.
They shook their heads and the chains also made canny sounds. Because of the overall warm temperature the chains were stinging the normal skin of the beasts. It was type of double torture. The chains not only stop them from shifting the form but charred their skin. The constant torture created everlasting marks on their skin which always reminded them that they were waiting for the specific time.
Over the years they decided that once the left the imprisonment they would commit the crime for which they were wrongly accused. “If my hunger is not making me blind again then this beast is called Felon.” One of the Trifire asked to confirm.
Felon was famous loyal of the Lord Beast. All beasts living in the North Sepedra were aware about it. They were “You must be hungry however this beast is definitely Felon. Let’s take a look if his half opened feathers broke some flexible veins with the fall.” The second trifire beast beckoned them.
They could relate their circumstances when they were thrown the same way. Moreover they were curious to know what caused this present condition of the Loyal. Felon almost screamed with the pain. The chains did not let it save from the fall. Few of the flexible feather bones cracked. Head was hurt and several big and small injuries were adding pain.
Collectively the condition was not good. The suffering did not end it here because the near crater was ready to spill out the Lava. Trifire noticed the crater and hurried to drag their feet toward famous loyal Felon. They wanted to save its life for once out of pity.
