Waiting in my room I heard the door open and saw rem, slog her way in drunk, and trying to hold back tears. I immediately fired off questions, “what happened? how bad was it? are you okay?” she stretched out her hand and put her finger on my face and said “I’ll tell you in the morning go to bed.” and then collapsed in bed, despite the fact we’d have to wake in 4 hours, as I had already slept and was up early I decided to ask Najenda if she could sleep in. she was hardly ready for any kind of training and it would take a while for the alcohol to get out of her system.

I had told Najend that rem was holding an item and handed her the item in question. It was mostly crushed but slightly had an aura of a Zanpacto which clearly marked it as an Imperial arm. sadly it was mostly smashed. she was able to identify it and Said “Well it’s broken but now we can cross another imperial arm of the list.” she sighed.

While flipping through a book, which clearly said volume 7 on its spine, she said: “I think it’s on this page, ah yes!” as she pointed to a page she continued. “This is a nasty piece of work. It can see through most objects and what’s worse it can overlay an image of the one you most care about, It will backfire if there are more than one and likely show the one with the most trauma attached to it.”

I sighed, “More than likely she saw our son, Naruto. That explains the nasty state she’s in.”

Najenda nodded, “That’d do it.” she then began to ask “What was he li-” I stopped her and said,

“Please, don’t go there, I would talk about him, but it hurts too much it may have been slightly over 100 years ago but it hurts like it was yesterday.” I pause and then continue, “when she wakes up I’ll talk to her. I’m probably the only one who can help.” Najenda nods and then when I’m out of earshot she says exasperated,

“We’re all a bit broken, aren’t we?” I turn around and point to my ears and say, “yes. but wait a little longer when talking about that to someone with long ears.” I turn back around and head to my room to comfort Rem emotionally as well as I can.

(Najenda POV)

I look at his back as it shrinks towards His room, I find myself sighing a lot ever since I Joined night raid as its Commanding officer. I go outside and see Lubbock doing his morning training. He’s been training more seriously ever since the showers have been fixed.

Thinking about why this is I frown and ask, “Why are you only good at training when there are no girls to peep on?”

When Tatsumi and Leone get back from their patrol, They tell us they heard that General Esdeth had decimated the entire Northern Rebel Army all by her lonesome, I frown at this as I doubt Rem and I could do that together.

Rem now has 8549 and I have 7449 I smile thinking that even if we get hit we probably won’t even get hurt. Noticing this, Rem smiles at me in appreciation.
