My Life Or Your Memory - Chapter 73
Bai Lian was feeling incredibly indignant. She was here first. She was here on official business. Just because that woman had appeared and started crying, Xie Jingyu had forgotten all about her and even scolded her for not leaving.
Unable to take the reprimanding gaze, Bai Lian finally sighed and turned around, leaving the office. Although she seemed dejected, she was fuming mad on the inside. How could Xie Jingyu be so enchanted by a little vixen?
Yu Huiyin did not care about Bai Lian any longer. Xie Jingyu’s reaction had proven to her who was more important to him, and his actions had caused her to be ashamed.
She dared not lift her head again but buried it in Xie Jingyu’s chest. She felt happy but sad at the same time.
What was she supposed to do in the future? Could she stay with Xie Jingyu, or would he also abandon her one day?
She was suddenly uncomfortable. Unknown to her, her hands had gripped Xie Jingyu’s shirt tightly, and it crumpled from her grip.
Xie Jingyu was unsure about what was happening to her, but he could feel her sadness, and that she was far from the normal Yu Huiyin.
He was not sure of what to do; his heart was feeling very uncomfortable, and guilty. He could feel her insecurity, and yet he did not know what to do, so he used his hands and placed them on both sides of her face.
Yu Huiyin looked at Xie Jingyu. Her eyelashes still had tears hanging on the small fine hairs. Unable to hold back any longer, Xie Jingyu lowered his head. Her pitiful expression made his heart hurt so much that he could not hold back any longer.
His lips gently landed on top of hers. The soft lingering touch, the rubbing of lips against lips, the softness of her skin, all of it made Xie Jingyu feel intoxicated.
Yu Huiyin was also stunned, but she did not resist. Instead, she closed her eyes and slowly, but unskillfully, she began responding.
Xie Jingyu had acted fully out of instinct. He had not thought that Yu Huiyin would respond to him like this, he had been sure that she would have slapped him, and he could hardly control himself as he deepened the kiss.
He could feel that Yu Huiyin was turning into a puddle of water in his arms; she was so soft that he had to hold her up or she would fall, and he was ecstatic that he had kissed her by instinct.
By the time the kiss ended, Yu Huiyin was trembling and breathless in Xie Jingyu’s arms, and he held on to her with all his might. He did not even feel her extra weight. Instead, it was as if a blanket had been wrapped around his heart, warming even the deepest parts of his soul.
Gently, Xie Jingyu allowed Yu Huiyin to lean against him. He dared not speak out of fear of her suddenly realizing that he had kissed her and then be furious.
But Yu Huiyin had already realized his actions. She was blushing scarlet red; her face was so hot that she knew that even her ears had turned red, but she did not say anything against it.
The two of them were reveling in the warmth of their embrace for some time before Yu Huiyin finally looked up at Xie Jingyu.
Xie Jingyu felt nervous. Was she going to scold him now? But instead, he felt a very soft touch on his chin, and when he looked down, he saw that Yu Huiyin had kissed him lightly. It felt like butterfly wings were fluttering above the skin, so soft and exquisite that he could not control his heart from beating rapidly.
Yu Huiyin had planned many things prior to this or the sake of getting him to admit his feelings for her, but now that she knew her own emotions, she could no longer do it. It was too cold.
Instead, she asked, with a slightly hoarse and whimpering voice, “Jingyu, do you like me?”
Her voice made Xie Jingyu’s legs turn soft, and he answered without really thinking about his words, “I love you.”
It was not before the words had escaped his lips that Xie Jingyu wanted to take them back, but they were already out there. He expected that Yu Huiyin would retract from his embrace, but instead, she just tightened her arms around his waist and buried her face in his chest once more.
Her reaction was puzzling him. “My dear wife, do you like me?” He suddenly asked in shock. Could it be that his dreams proved to be true? Could it be that after a few weeks with him, she had also started falling for him?
He was ecstatic, his heart beating fast, and Yu Huiyin, who had her head pressed against his chest, could feel and hear the rapid heartbeat.
“I do,” she answered with a timid voice, and Xie Jingyu felt as if his mind exploded. She said she liked him! Oh, what a brilliant day this was!
The arms that were around Yu Huiyin tightened, she was pressed so close to his body that she could barely move.
“My wife,” Xie Jingyu whispered into her ear, making Yu Huiyin tremble. Her ears were sensitive, and when his hot breath hit them, she trembled uncontrollably in his arms.
Xie Jingyu, who had been unable to understand her previous behavior, instantly knew what had been going on. Her background was of no secret to him; he knew that she had been feeling insecure.
While she was insecure, he was alone in the office with a beautiful woman, so she had gotten hurt.
