My Life Or Your Memory - Chapter 92
Yu Huiyin was stunned when she heard Xie Jingyu’s words. How could he be so shameless? Looking at him all day, that would be quite a task.
“I am fine, really,” Yu Huiyin said helplessly, as she looked at Xie Jingyu. Who would have thought that he’d become such an overprotective husband after understanding her frame of mind?
Chuckling slightly, Yu Huiyin did nothing else than shake her head. The two got up, washed up, and got dressed before they headed out from the mansion and towards the office.
Xie Jingyu was driving Yu Huiyin, and they were going together this time. When they arrived at the underground parking lot, many were also coming ready to start their work, only to be surprised by seeing that Xie Jingyu had a woman with him in the car.
But upon closer inspection, they realized that the woman who was in the car was Yu Huiyin, and after all the gossip about her had been spreading, they knew she was the wife of Xie Jingyu. Hence it was nothing special that he came together with her.
The two took the elevator to the top floor, and while Xie Jingyu just walked straight into the office, Yu Huiyin greeted the secretaries she passed by.
The day went by in a blur. Yu Huiyin spent all her time working, and Xie Jingyu was relieved when he saw that there was no discomfort in her appearance. He would glance at her from time to time while doing his own work, and a smile played on his lips.
Yu Huiyin spent her lunch break talking with Xu Nanfeng, listening to his report about their business.
Most of the money she had invested had been used on marketing, and the advertis.e.m.e.nts for the game would be published the following week, with the release of the game at the end of the week.
Neither Yu Huiyin nor Xu Nanfeng was sure about how well the game would do, but they both thought that it would be quite successful. It was a game that Xu Nanfeng had poured his soul into creating, and it was very well thought out and had exciting gameplay.
It had already been sent out to test players, and all reviews were immensely positive.
Yu Huiyin was eager to see it do well, she needed the capital to start an entertainment business, and right now, she did not have the money to begin it.
Even so, she did not regret spending her money on the game. Not only could she help out a friend, but she also had the impression that things would work out very well.
After the break, Yu Huiyin began working again. She always focused on the task at hand, and everyone was starting to see her in a new light. Some still disliked her and felt that she was abusing her power as the wife of the CEO to get her job, but no one dared talk about it.
Just as they were busy working, Xie Jingyu’s personal phone suddenly rang. His personal phone had very few contacts within it, and all of them were important friends.
Taking out the phone, his brows furrowed when he saw the name displayed on the glass, and he suddenly did not want to answer.
He glanced at Yu Huiyin, only to see that she was observing him, and he took a deep breath before picking up the call.
“Hello.”
“I am busy.”
“Thank you; I am very pleased to have become a married man.”
“She is the apple of my eye.”
“No, thank you.”
“I am not interested.”
“Please excuse me; I am still working.”
After saying this, he ended the call, and his whole demeanor turned grumpy, his appearance full of gloom.
Sensing that something was not right, Yu Huiyin went to his side and poured him a glass of water.
“Are you okay?” she asked gently, but Xie Jingyu kept staring at his phone as he rubbed his forehead. It was clear that he was deep in thought.
It was not before a few moments later that he came back to his senses. Seeing Yu Huiyin smiling at him, he felt that the world was still beautiful, and he smiled at her, accepted the glass of water, and drank a bit.
Seeing Yu Huiyin made his turbulent emotions calm down. So what if Lu Changying was back? Yu Huiyin was his wife and the woman he loved; no one was allowed to disturb their happy life.
If Lu Changying had appeared for the sake of letting go of the past, then he was happy to oblige, but if she were here to cause problems, he would entertain her to death.
He was not even in a moment questioning his feelings for Yu Huiyin. He knew that she was the woman he wanted to spend life with, but this was also why he did not mention Lu Changying.
He was not willing to hurt her or make her misunderstand anything. He was sure that their paths would never cross, so there was no need to warn her. Now that he was married, naturally, Lu Changying had to give up.
Feeling better, Xie Jingyu rose from the chair and took Yu Huiyin’s hand in his. “Let’s go out and eat tonight,” he said gently as he led Yu Huiyin out the office and down to the underground parking lot. Here he gallantly opened the door for her and led her into the car before he went to his own seat and turned on the car before leaving the company.
Not long from their car was another car parked. Inside was a woman who seemed to have some mixed blood. She was looking at Xie Jingyu and Yu Huiyin with killing intent in her eyes. Not even when looking at Xie Jingyu were there any affection in her eyes.
