My Lords’ Sweet Love Bites - Chapter 11 Quietness before the Storm
Tian was excited but nervous at the thought of leaving. What if things don’t go well? What if she won’t be successful in escaping? Does that mean she will have to live here? Beside that Tian decided to put things in a small bag, in case she needed a few things when she escapes. She knew that it will be hard to meet her family straight away since she had no clue on the country she was in.
A few days ago, Tian did read a few books from the library which was specially made for Tian by Qin. There were only fictional books, however, there was one book which had caught Tian’s attention. It was about a country called “Peru”. The name of this country had sounded unusual to Tian. During her studies, she had never heard of this country before.
Although the country itself was small, it had a powerful relation and allies with others. In the book, there was information on how the country was governed by 5 main governors however the country still did have a King. At first, when Tian had looked at the book, she thought it was another fictional story but who knows if those countries exist. There were more books about countries with unusual names.
“They probably were fictional. There is no way that I would go to a country which doesn’t exist.” Tian whispers to herself as she walks down the hallway. She opens her bedroom to find the maids packing her stuff. Toothbrush, hairbrush, even to the extent of packing sanitary pads and shaving cream.
“Hey… you don’t have to pack all of this. I can do this much myself.” The two maids stop working and looked at Tian and then back at each other.
“His Highness instructed us to do this.” One of the maids spoke while looking down at the ground.
“He told you to pack the sanitary pads and even shaving cream?” Tian giggled at the thought of him instructing the maids. The maids just look at each other in confusion.
“Nevermind.” Tian shakes her head. The maids do a slight bow to Tian and then get back to packing. No matter how many times the maids did this bow, Tian always felt uncomfortable.
Tian slowly moves towards the luggage which was put on the table. As usual, there were long dresses in the suitcase. Ever since Tian had come here, she would always wear these long dress. They were comfortable but they felt too formal to her. There was also a tube of shaving cream.
‘Shaving cream?’ Tian lifts up the dress she was wearing just slightly to see her legs. Her hair on the leg hasn’t grown at all since the last time she removed them. She remembers removing her hair when she first came here and took a shower. The only reason she did all this was since she wanted to delay going to him.
“That’s unusual. Maybe they will grow back.” Tian whispers to herself.
Tian moves away from the luggage and sits down on the sofa near the window. Finally, tomorrow is the day. The moon shone even brighter today. Tian thought about her parents while looking at the sky through the window.
She thought about how much angry her parents would be at her? Maybe they will cry when they see her. Tian kept imagining the reunion in her head. Her parents smile, their tears. Everything that she could think of. She thought about things going to normal.
While Tian was lost in thoughts, she didn’t even realize falling asleep. The maids left the room and turned off the lights and then he entered. His light steps that didn’t make any sound.
Qin slowly approaches Tian and removes the hair that had fallen on her face. He lifts her up in his arms like he had done every night. He carries Tian to the bed and puts her down. He then puts the blanket over her so she stays warm. Just like that he leaves quietly after kissing her on the forehead.
Qin closes the bedroom door and walks down the hallway. He walks down the stairs and towards the study room. Sir Devant was already sat down on the sofa with a warm cup of coffee.
“I don’t think its the right idea to take Tian with me tomorrow.” Qin speaks as soon as he opens the door. He walks towards Devant and sits down on the sofa.
“What do you mean?” Sir Devant continues to sip his coffee.
“I don’t have a good feeling about it. I feel like something will go wrong.” Qin looks at Sir Devant with an anxious expression.
“Tian needs to debut in the society. Everyone needs to know who she is, besides what are you worried about? It is your Kingdom that we are going to.” Sir Devant replies softly.
“That is exactly what I am worried about. It is my kingdom but it is full of traps. I don’t want to hurt her. The thing that scares me the most is her being hurt.” Qin replies while trembling in fear.
“Don’t worry. We have the guards that will be with her all the time. Just relax.”
“Sometimes you speak less like an old man.” Qin leans back on the sofa.
“Well, I am not really an old man.” Sir Devant sounded a bit annoyed.
“Did you not receive any information from that lackey? Any mission?”
“Nothing. I have not heard anything from him.” Sir Devant replies. Qin lets out a deep sigh.
“Anyways, have you told Tian about your marriage with her?” Sir Devant asks.
“No, not yet.” Sir Devant nearly chokes on the coffee he is drinking. He looks at Qin in disbelief.
“Don’t worry. I will tell her when the time is right.” Qin adds on.
“Are you serious with me?” Sir Devant asks in a shocked manner.
“What do you expect me to do? Tell her I married her while she was unconscious.” Qin looks away from Sir Devant.
“That is what you did!” Sir Devant wipes the coffee from where it had dripped on the cup.
“I know what I did. Have you contacted the slayers? I want them to be with us at all costs.” Qin changes the topic.
“Yes. Everything is ready for tomorrow.”
No matter how many thing Qin double checked for tomorrows function, he had a strange feeling. He just hoped that it was just a strange feeling and nothing else. Losing Tian again would be like dying for the second time to him.
Just like that, another morning had started. Tian who wake up happily but Qin who woke up with worries.
