My Magical System - Chapter 263
Chapter 263: Important task
In his current body, Eman’s age was not too far from the two companions. Their gap was only two years. So if you look at it from a bystander’s perspective, they just looked like a group of friends who enjoy going for a walk together.
While they were walking, heading to the Elder’s domain, Azure and Amber mentioned a strange creature that popping out from time to time in different parts of the forest.
“Isn’t that just a new creation by the Elder Dark Priest?” Eman asked them.
“No, my lord. We have also asked the Elder about this and he said that his creations don’t wander until he orders them to,” answered Azure.
Eman fell silent and pondered. Later, he thought to ask what was on his mind.
“Are they attacking you? Or has anyone in the village been attacked by it?”
The two shook their heads at his question. “No, my lord. We have not heard of anyone being attacked by it.”
…..
Eman felt relieved hearing that. “Hm, that’s good. Um, how about their appearance? Did they resemble something?”
“Uh…” Amber could be seen thinking deeply. She seemed to struggle to describe it or how to describe what they saw.
“It has an oversized round head and tiny limbs. But I don’t think it’s human because its whole figure is only the size of a human head and it floats in the air,” said Azure.
Hmm…
What kind of entity is that? Eman couldn’t help but ask while mulling. Isn’t that a ghost? He guessed.
‘What do you think it is, System?’ Eman had to ask his trusted source of information.
“Wood spirit?” Those words came out of his mouth so the two companions heard them.
“Spirits?” Amber also whispered.
“Uh, nothing. I just think it is like that,” Eman said.
“As expected, My lord is very knowledgeable in all things,” Azure said.
“…..”
Eman just fell silent and didn’t bother correcting him because he heard the System’s answer.
<a>
<a> ‘Uh, like a Dryad?’ Eman spoke to System again using only his mind.
<a> Eman turned around. The road to the Elder Priest’s domain was in the middle of the trees.
<a> He suddenly thought that he had never explored this world. He was so focused on the empire that his plan to research this world was foiled.
<a> The last time his Soul Fountain had improved, this world had become extremely vast.
<a> Now, he realized he had a lot to do in this world, especially after learning that this world also had that kind of entity. Perhaps it wasn’t only one. Maybe there are more unnatural creatures that are living in this world.
<a> As they continued to walk, their feet brought them in front of the entrance of Elder Dark Priest’s domain. As usual, he saw the human-face creatures around.
<a> “The Almighty One!”
<a> One of them shouted. Everyone immediately turned around, then one of them ran inside to tell their creator.
<a> It didn’t take long before the Elder Dark Priest arrived in front of him.
<a> “My Lord!” As usual again, the elder greeted him with his enthusiastic greeting. Eman also noticed the elation in the elder’s expression. That alone gave him a sense of good news.
<a> “You look happy, has something good happened?” Eman asked in his usual calm voice. Aside from that, he also noticed something in the elder’s aura.
<a> A breakthrough? He thought. But it looks like it wasn’t.
<a> “Ufufu,” the elder giggled. “I can’t really hide anything from you, My Lord. Before that, let’s go inside.”
<a> “Uh, I have to pass for now. I just came to ask about the assignment I gave you before. Coming here today is not really in my plan. But something came up outside that required me to stay in this world for some time,” Eman said.
<a> While Eman and the elder were talking, Azure and Amber were standing silently beside them.
<a> “Is that so? Actually, My Lord, I have something I wanted to tell you. I also wanted to show you my new creation.”
<a> Again?! Hearing the word ‘new creation’ made Eman exclaim. “So, I want you, My lord, to come with me inside.”
<a> Eman pondered for a moment, but in the end, he agreed.
<a> “Okay.”
<a> “Uhm, My lord, we’ll be staying here,” Azure said.
<a> Eman was ready to nod, but the Elder Dark Priest said something. “No, you two may come as well. I have something I wanted to give you,” said the elder.
<a> “You heard him. Let’s go,” Eman said.
<a> The group then went inside. Leaving the trembling human-face creatures. No matter how many times they encountered the Almighty One, they still could not help but tremble at his mere presence. They could not fathom his power. He was the very definition of a divine being in their eyes.

While Eman went to visit the Elder Dark Priest, in one of the taverns in the capital, a group of people in blue cloaks went inside.
Suddenly, everyone who was there looked at their group. Seeing them, some of the customers raised their eyebrows.
A customer who was holding a bottle that was obviously a bottle of liquor asked. “Who are they?” His questioning voice was rough.
“Stupid, don’t you know them? Take a good look, maybe you just forgot.” The person opposite of him said in a knowing voice. It was obvious from the way he said that that he tried to reprimand his companion for the rough language.
Most of the customers in this tavern were people of moderate living. This type of person did not belong to the nobles nor did they belong to the poor people. In short, they were laborers with monthly wages in their respective jobs.
Looking at the person in the lead of the group again, his eyes suddenly seemed to widen.
“She… she looks like one of the heroes…” he exclaimed.
Although his voice was not that loud, some people there heard him. And just as they heard, they realized that this person was indeed one of the heroes.
“Hero Reena?!” One shouted.
Reena was accompanied by some soldiers from the palace led by Kanna. They were here because of an important task that his majesty appointed them.
