My Marriage To A Mute Alpha - Volume 1 Chapter 43
After getting a call from someone during the middle of their conversation, Ai took the opportunity to take her leave. Xiang and Suho didn’t stop her and instead sent her off. She was fidgeting and anxious the whole time. It seemed like she wasn’t even aware of herself doing it.
When Xiang locked the door, he turned around to notice Suho laughing.
“Hey! Is this matter something you can laugh about? Your sister seems suspicious! Can you tell me what you’re thinking?”
Suho went and sat on the sofa. He patted his hand on the couch, signaling Xiang to take a seat. Xiang sat beside him and noticed that he was writing something. Suho showed it to him, which said, “She gave us a lead in this case, of course, I’m happy.”
“But won’t you be disappointed if it’s her in the end?”
Suho started writing again. He then showed it to him, which said, “She’s knows something about this case. She’s definitely involved in it. She’s either going to save us or dump us. Me, being disappointed in her or not, will only be decided through her actions from this point onwards.”
“I guess you’re right,” replied Xiang and sighed. He rested his head on Suho’s shoulders and slowly dozed off.
When he opened his eyes, all he could see was the color white. There was nothing there, except for himself. He wandered around, taking one step at a time, and trying not to panic.
“Xi!” called out a voice. Without even turning around, he can tell who it was, just by the voice. No one would call him the same way he does. It was Suho. He held out his arms waiting for him to run into his embrace. When he was about to run to him, he heard another voice say, “Xiang!” It was Cheng Mu. He was smiling at him. One of the main reasons his childhood was a memorable one, was because of his presence.
“Xi! We love you!” shouted another two voices in a chorus. It was his parents. The ones who gave meaning to his life. If it weren’t for them, he would have stayed trapped in the darkness forever. All the four were like food, water, air, and shelter to him- he can’t survive without them.
All the four gathered together and called out to him. Xiang ran as fast as he could to get to their side. But before he could, they disappeared out of his sight one by one. It was too late. He couldn’t get hold of them. He felt weak to his knees and couldn’t stand any longer and fell to the floor, hopeless. Soon, the white surrounding turned pitch black. He couldn’t see anything except for hearing evil laughs. Xiang shut his ears and tried hard to hold back his tears. He cried and cried for help, but in vain. Suddenly someone crept from behind and grabbed him by the neck. Suffocating, Xiang tried hard to get loose out of his grip. It felt as if he was crushing his throat.
*gasp*
Xiang turned his head left and right. It was Suho’s bedroom. Suho was lying beside him, holding him in his arms. “It was a dream,” sighed Xiang, who was slightly sweating. He then turned to look at Suho, who was sleeping soundly. Xiang gently pushed aside Suho’s bangs that was covering his eyes. Unconsciously, Suho cuddled him and rested his head on Xiang’s. Xiang hugged him tightly and thought, “I’m never going into darkness again.”
