My Master Is A Tsundere - Chapter 176
“But even so. Only one of us would get it.”
Rant Valo said to her with a frown on his face.
“That doesn’t matter. I would be the one to use it. Disciple, you and Veia would be hiding underground. That way, you won’t be scanned by a powerful demon.”
Floriana Sabina explained to Rant Valo.
“Then, how would we be able to escape?”
Rant Valo asked her. If they hid underground then how would they leave later when it’s time for them to leave.
“I’ll fly us out of there. They would not be able to catch up with us with my speed.”
Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo.
“Ah, that’s reassuring then.”
Only then did Rant Valo nod his head in approval.
“Mm.”
Floriana Sabina nodded her head.
“So when are we setting out?”
Rant Valo asked Floriana Sabina.
“Today.”
Floriana Sabina replied.
“We won’t rest?”
Rant Valo asked her in surprise. They had just flown here, and then they’ll fly again.
“Rest? What is that, Disciple?”
Floriana Sabina acted like she didn’t know what ‘rest’ meant.
“Sigh. Alright.”
Rant Valo sighed and nodded his head reluctantly. He was already a Core Formation stage cultivator already. He didn’t need any rest. It was just his habits.
“Here are some more life-saving pills.”
Xian Bao passed several bottles of pills to Floriana Sabina.
“Thank you.”
Floriana Sabina thanked him with a smile on her face.
“No worries. That’d be the best I can do for humanity, at least.”
Xian Bao shook his hand at Floriana Sabina. He didn’t need her thanks as this was his way of helping humanity.
“Disciple, let’s go!”
Floriana Sabina said to him.
“Already!?”
Rant Valo reacted in shock.
“Yes.”
Floriana Sabina nodded her head. And so, the three of them walked down the long stairs again.
They then rode the boat once they were back at the airport.
“Where is the Demon Continent, Master Floriana?”
Rant Valo asked her as he gazed out at the land around them. Sometimes, they would pass by a large city and sometimes they would pass by a village.
“It’s southeast. We’re heading there right now.”
Floriana Sabina replied to Rant Valo.
“I heard that seas are across oceans, right? Will we sail using the boat?”
Rant Valo asked her curiously. This was technically capable of sailing in the ocean as long as they didn’t encounter any big waves.
“What are you saying, Disciple? We’re gonna fly there all the way. Sailing in the sea would only slow us down.”
Floriana Sabina looked at Rant Valo like she was looking at an idiot.
“I-I see.”
Rant Valo nodded his head in understanding. His limited knowledge of the world really made him look like an idiot in these kinds of situations.
“It would take us days to even reach the edge of the continent. I’ll stop by when we find a large city on the way.”
Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo and Veia.
“Okay.”
“Yes.”
Rant Valo and Veia responded with a nod.
They flew for a few more hours. The sky had already darkened long ago, and they flew in the night.
“You can see all of the light sources from here.”
Rant Valo looked around below them. He could see various light sources on this pitch-black night. The villages are especially obvious.
“Is that city good enough?”
Rant Valo pointed to a large city that was glowing like a sun in the dark. It would be hard to miss it.
“Yes. But I think we should keep going, Disciple.”
Floriana Sabina nodded her head, but she didn’t slow down.
“Huh?”
Rant Valo looked at her in confusion. Didn’t she say that they would need to rest on the way? Even though they were already cultivators, it had been their routine to sleep on the night.
“We don’t know if this city has already been taken by the demons. We have to be careful and avoid alerting our enemies about our move.”
Floriana Sabina explained to him.
“You’re right.”
Rant Valo squinted his eyes and looked at the city as they passed by it. He looked down below the boat and examined the streets.
“There are…no people?”
Rant Valo said as he furrowed his eyebrows. It was weird for a city this large to have no people on the streets while the lights are turned on everywhere.
“I fear that everyone is already dead.”
Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo grimly.
“That…”
Rant Valo stared at the city in disbelief. Such a large city had turned into a ghost city. No soul could be seen in sight. Everything was arranged orderly, and it looked from afar that the city was alive, but it’s actually not.
“This is the war between demons, Disciple. The next time we arrive at the Heavenly Pill City, no one would probably accept Veia.”
Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo as the city disappeared behind them.
“That’s… What is the reason for them doing such a thing?”
Rant Valo was speechless. He took his eyes away from the horizon and looked forward.
“That’s what I would also want to find out.”
Floriana Sabina said to Rant Valo. It was one of the purposes of their trip to the Demon Continent.
“I understand.”
Rant Valo looked at the scenery in front of them in melancholy.
Their travel continued for a few more days. Rant Valo was silent as he looked at the ghost cities on their way. There were no signs of life inside all of them. It was like someone took all of the civilians and teleported them out of the city.
The eerie part was that there were no signs of damages to the surroundings. That was the thing that disturbed Rant Valo the most. What kind of power could possibly do such a thing?
“What’s that?”
Rant Valo pointed right in front of them. There was a bright flash of light shining towards them.
“It’s blue?”
Rant Valo saw blue at the edge of the horizon.
