My mother's SON-IN-LAW - Chapter 53: MISSING (4)
Chapter 53: MISSING (4)
In a phone call:
“Where is she?” asked Noah with a rigid look on his face, he hadn’t been able to get any good sleep for the past days which Alicia had been missing.
She wasn’t that crazy to get herself kidnapped in a matter of two days out of the country, but then again, every man in Paris has a bone to pick with her.
Edward who was on the other side of the line, sighed slightly listening to this crazy man and wished he could kill him, how could he have the same temper as Ally every time he feels out of control, it was simply ludicrous.
“Shouting is not going to make things any easier than they are right now Mr McMillian, you need to calm down so we can think of a solution to this problem, I, …..”Edward was completely cut off while trying to reason with Noah. Noah couldn’t believe what was being said to him, ‘HOW COULD HE POSSIBLY CALM DOWN WHEN HIS WIFE WAS STOLEN FROM HIM?’
A few moments later Edward gathered the last bit of calmness, CALLED Noah again and said, “I will find Alicia, you don need to worry about that, but if you ever cut me off like that ever again, ‘I PROMISE YOU WILL NEVER SEE HER AGAIN!! OH, and yes, I know about the stunt you pulled in the past, I haven’t settled scores with you on that yet.” Right after uttering those words, Edward directly cut the line off and smashed his hand on the bed he was sitting on trying his hardest not to kill anyone.
….
ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LINE:
Noah was dead silent after the call was disconnected, he felt scared and angry at the same time.
He knew what he had done before wasn’t something he could agree too easily, it was shameless even for himself, yet he had done it without thinking of anything else.
Even if time could go back, he probably would still make the same decision.
His whole room was filled with cold air, he had a crazy look in his eyes and the intent look he kept on his phone would make you shiver silently if aimed at you. n/.𝑂)-𝚟.-𝖾–𝑙.)𝚋/)I.(n
He couldn’t retain himself any longer and directly called Mike. The phone didn’t take long to connect, in a matter of a few seconds Mike answered the phone with, “Hello?”
Noah made a simple ‘mmh’ sound and went straight to the point and said, “Did Alicia authorise the company to continue working even without her presence?” Mike answered with, “Yes, she told me that a few hours after she landed in Paris.”
Noah nodded slightly and said, “Very well, thank you for your time, Mike. I won’t hold you any longer, get back to work and if there is anything urgent, you can contact me personally.” With that he disconnected the call and has a simple smile on his face.
Alicia knew something was wrong the moment she landed in Paris, this only meant that she already had an idea of who would kidnap her, and if that’s so, than why didn’t she tell anyone about it? …
