My Naughty Fake Bride - 101 Not Demanding
The room emptied of the guards except for the very confused Jonah. I’m not about to be fired am I? Jonah asked himself.
“We’re all here now.” Han Jie said sitting beside her cousin. She tugged Jonah down to sit beside her.
Suzuki Kyou gave her a small smile tight smile before nodding.
Han Jie felt weird as she somehow knew that Suzuki Kyou was treating her differently from before. It was like the way he smiled towards her was so forced it could be considered as a grimace.
“Wang Jin’s brother was committed into the mental hospital by his husband a year ago after their marriage. Her brother… Had committed a lot of things. More than eight times. For Wang Jin however, this is the first time she became violent. Though her actions recently was not so assuring that she won’t have a mental issue as well.” Suzuki Kyou said carefully and seriously.
“And how long have you known them?” Han Jun asked. He was curious as he did not know that the Wang family has this type of secret.
Two children from them has mental issue. Provided the other one is not confirmed yet, but with Wang Jin’s current action, it won’t be long before it was confirmed.
“I am familiar with the Wang family for more than twenty-four years.” Suzuki Kyou replied expressionlessly.
“So since your childhood then. So when this who crazy thing started?” Han Jun asked.
Suzuki Kyou frowned, he then replied after a long a pause, “When he was four. The Wang family had just moved in to the house close to ours that time.”
“You mean the Wang Family is neighbors with Suzuki Family in Country J?” Han Jun asked again.
Suzuki Kyou nodded. “Some business are also closely tied to them.”
The silence afterwards was oppressive. Everyone silently contemplating this new information.
It was not for long though.
“This brings us back to this family. You are a twin,” Suzuki Kyou said addressing Han Jie. He was looking at her with penetrating gaze but his expression was unreadable.
“Please don’t blame her for what happened. It was all my fault, after all…” A voice said from behind them.
“Mei Mei!” Han Jie yelled excitedly.
Suzuki Kyou stood up and stared right at Han Feng.
Han Feng swallowed nervously and mopped his brow with his handkerchief nervously.
‘This is going to be terrible.’ He thought his eyes still not leaving Suzuki Kyou.
He swallowed his nervousness, before he stood up as well, “Suzuki Kyou these are my daughters.” Han Feng said separating the two hugging women to stand between them. He placed his hand on Han Mei first.
“Han Mei.” Suzuki Kyou said stunning everyone in the room. “I don’t know your name.” He said nodding at Han Jie.
She could not understand why Suzuki Kyou would pretend that he did not know her.
“This is Han Jie. Identical twins as you if can see.” Han Feng said cutting his daughter off with his thinly veiled nervousness.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you both,” Suzuki Kyou said his tone voice with sincerity. “I’ll leave you to your reunion. I will pick up Mei’er tomorrow. She will live with me moving forward.” He said as he turned around.
“CEO Suzuki what do you mean about she will live with you starting tomorrow?” Han Feng said unhappily.
Suzuki Kyou, looked back, “Just like what I said. She will live with me. This way she can’t just go running away.” He said plainly showing his dissatisfaction before covering it up immediately.
“But… But-” Han Jie tried to discuss. Since she was just reunited with her sister, Han Jie did not want to be separated again. However, she could not continue her next sentence with just one pointed look of Suzuki Kyou.
It was like him silently telling her, ‘Try me. I dare you.’ Too bad, Han Jie could not dare.
“Do you have any issues?” Suzuki Kyou then asked Han Feng with the same look.
Han Feng despite feeling annoyed for being treated with less respect, he could only shook his head and agree to Suzuki Kyou’s arrangements. After all, the Han Family was wrong at this time.
It was best to agree with this block of ice for now, and talk about business later.
“I’ll schedule a meeting with your assistant.” Han Jun said hoping to gain control of the situation. His uncle was feeling guilty and not acting rational because of his cousins, so might as well step up.
“I’ll inform him.” Suzuki Kyou said before bowing his head slightly and leaving the suite.
“That’s it..?” Han Mei asked out loud voicing Han Jie’s thoughts exactly. They were wondering why Suzuki Kyou was not making any other demand aside from his ‘request’ for Han Mei to live with him.
When Han Mei begged Suzuki Kyou to let Han Feng knew of their arrangement, she was also expecting for him to talk to her father longer and have many rules and what not.
“What you wanted to cause more trouble now?” Han Jun said before rubbing his face. “How are you?” He asked his cousin as his uncle led her to the chair Suzuki Kyou had just vacated.
Han Jie sat on the arm rest of the chair.
“Get off. You’re going to break that with your weight.” Han Jun said lightening the tension in the room.
“Oy! I’m not that big!” Han Jie said in outrage falling into character. She missed her sister and wanted to know how she was but she didn’t want to pressure her.
Han Feng chuckled indulgently and sat a little apart from the arguing cousins and sank tiredly into the couch.
Han Mei looked at her father strangely, “Daddy, you are not mad at me?”
“I am.” He said seriously.
“Father! Don’t be too much!” Han Jie shouted appalled as she squeeze her body between her sister and father.
Han Feng’s face turned red in annoyance. “Causing trouble again,” He said before he flicked Han Jie’s forehead.
She did not budge and continued to stand as if protecting Han Mei from their father.
“Do you think I will hurt your sister? I don’t even hit you when you sneak every single night before!” He said with laced frustration.
Han Jie could not help but look to her father with bewilderment. While her sister giggled behind her.
“You… Daddy, you knew that all along?” Han Jie could not help but ask.
Han Feng shook his head. His youngest daughter was not the brightest with some things. Just like her believing that her sneaking out plan every night before is a bullet proof.
“But Daddy, MeiMei’s marriage is different. It is not like my playful days in college. This is her life that we are talking about. Think about it, once they got married and they end up divorcing eventually, MeiMei won’t be able to marry that easily cause she is already labeled as divorcee. Don’t you feel sad by just thinking about it?” Han Jie asked. “So please, don’t make it hard for her. She is back now…”
“JieJie, it’s alright. I already talked to him earlier. I will marry him…” Han Mei suddenly said before Han Feng could reply.
Han Jie looked at her sister with surprise. “Really? You… Talked to him?” She asked unsure.
“Yes. We decided on a peaceful arrangement during the marriage. Don’t worry as well if we divorce I won’t lose out for being called a divorcee… I will get millions of compensation.” Han Mei said with a smile. Her sister is not aware that she is pregnant. Suzuki Kyou knew about it and to keep everyone safe specially her child, Han Mei agreed to be with him.
Han Feng looked at his eldest daughter with complicated expression. The case of his missing daughter had weighted on his mind heavily for the past few months. Every resource they had had been expended to find her. Still it had been in vain. Han Feng didn’t think he would pray again after the death of his wife. But he had prayed every night and morning that Han Mei is found soon and she was alright.
“That’s good,” He said after the sigh. Han Feng was glad to have his daughter home.
It was not important to know why she had run away in the first place. Or if the story of a stray man being involved with her daughter true.
