My Naughty Fake Bride - 112 Private Number
Nevertheless, it was a good opportunity for her that she should not miss. Han Jie took a deep breath.
“Wait here.” She muttered to Jonah and strode over to where Suzuki Kyou was standing.
When she was in front of him, Han Jie saw him frown, while his driver stepped back. There was no one else around them now.
“I know you don’t want me here and I’m sorry for lying to you. But I had to do whatever I could to help my family. So I accept responsibility and I’m willing to take whatever punishment intended for my family.” Han Jie rushed out in one breath.
Suzuki Kyou tilted his head, as he stared at her a while. This of course made Han Jie feel nervous and awkard.
“We can talk more in the office. I’ll tell assistant Ye to get you some sweets.” He said, and just as he did that the elevator door opened.
Han Jie smiled appreciatively as she stepped in the elevator with him. ‘He must be in the good mood. I hope the same for the entire talk…’ She thought to herself hopefully.

Han Mei stared at her phone with conflicting expression. It is currently showing a message coming from him. It was from the man that she was trying to forget so badly but was not able to.
Why not?
She did save him and trusted him but in the end… Han Mei did not want to think about it further. Nevertheless, it was stupid to continue playing dumb. If she won’t accept her previous mistakes, there was no way for her to improve.
So she gave up forgetting as it was probably impossible. Unless she accidentally has amnesia. Heck, the man is her unborn child’s father.
Still she couldn’t believe it. ‘Why is he suddenly messaging me?!’ Han Mei asked and complained to herself.
At first she did not know whether to be angry or happy. In the end she was just confused. The message she got arrived in the time she least expect it. Or least needed it.
Despite not having it registered on her phone, she already managed to memorize it. How many time have she tried to message the number, but never had the guts to really sent her message.
Even when she was in the private clinic, to-Han Mei shook her head to forget that most devastating part of her life.
Han Mei had been wondering for a while. Who knew how long was it before she looked at her phone again.
‘How are you? Do you still remember me? I left my number in your apartment. I am waiting for your message, but you seem so busy with your engagement.’ His message states. Han Mei felt like she was being mocked.
He don’t have the right to do so!
She was so annoyed and ended up acting not her usual lady like self.
The man had taken advantage of her when she was drunk after she helped him. She did not even investigate his background or get his name family name. That was her biggest mistake.
He told her to call him only, Fang and she respected that. It was wrong. She should be suspicious instead.
Who would not be suspicious when someone begged to not to go to the hospital when he was all wounded and bloody?
Probably that time she felt pity more than suspicious.
She should have known that dealing with strangers was stupid. Han Mei is a total idiot.
Sadly, even though she cried due to the regret now, it won’t change what happened. It is just useless.
Just remembering that times with him, Han Mei really believed that she had been too naive. Always had been just like what her father said.
Isn’t her naivety the reason why her father could only agree to be connected with the Suzuki family?
Things she probably would have known if she’d stayed the night at his place instead of sneaking out of his house under the disapproving gaze of his housekeeper.
Now she was learning the most inane things like how he took his coffee and what he liked snacking on.
If anyone had told Han Mei she’d be happy to have her baby daddy by her side she would have scoffed with derision and ignored the person for the rest of the day.
Han Mei couldn’t deny that somehow there was a pang of happiness somewhere hidden in her heart.
It could not be helped. Regardless of how he acted like a bastard before, she knew that he had already left a very big mark in her heart.
Probably it started, from the minute their eyes had met from across the bar or the time they had started to interact more with each other.
‘Why not just think of it like a one night stand?’ Han Mei tried to shift her mind towards that idea. If she kept that thought won’t it make her feel better?
Also it was her fault. If there is no smoke, there is no fire. If she did not drink that night, can Fang even take advantage of her?
Ring! Ring!
Han Mei was startled from her deep thought, when her phone suddenly rang.
She was so surprised, that she accidentally dropped her phone.
The phone continued to ring for while and she was still not sure what to do.
Then it stopped for moment, before it rang again.
Han Mei had no choice but to check it. She noticed that it was not the familiar number.
After releasing a relieved sigh, she presses the answer button. “Hello,” Han Mei had said cautiously. The number wasn’t showing because it was probably private.
Han Mei had almost not picked up the call except for the fact that the call might have been important. It could have been from that thief who was still stealing from them unfortunately.
Or her sister that borrowed a cell phone from a stranger because she can’t find her phone.
Scratch that. There is Jonah who can help Han Jie make calls in case she really lost her phone again.
“Han Mei?” She heard the silky smooth voice that makes her feel uncomfortable. On one hand it could make her mad that she wanted to curse, on the other, it could also melt her into a puddle.
“Yes?” Han Mei had asked breathlessly.
“Han Mei it’s me. Have you forgotten about me?” He’d said his voiced had dropped one husky octave.
Han Mei had been quiet as she silently processed the words the man had spoken.
“Oh. It… You?” Han Mei said not really knowing what to say. Her baby daddy was contacting her. He just send her a message earlier now and not sure yet what to reply. Now, he caught her off guard again.
She gritted her teeth. Did he know that I don’t want to talk to him now?
Is he intentionally doing this to her? What else does he know?
What about her pregnancy? Does he have any idea about it?
Han heard him chuckle with his wonderful voice making Han Mei frown unhappily.
“Apologies. Who is this? I don’t seem to recognize your voice,” She said expressionlessly.
There was a long silence on the line.
“Don’t waste my time. I will hang up. Good-”
“Wait! Please don’t hand up!” He exclaimed, pleadingly.
Han Mei flared in anger. ‘Who is he to demand me anything?’ She thought to herself in annoyance. But she needed to compose herself and relax. A pregnant woman should not feel upset.
If Zang Fang could see her now, he would really be worried.
“Who is this? Speak.” She demanded, even though she was already one hundred percent sure that the man calling is her unborn child’s father.
“This is… Zang Fang,” He answered carefully. “I… I know that you may not want to talk to me, but I hope you do. You saved my life, but-”
“But what? You took advantage of me? Thank you for giving your full name, at least I know who to sue now,” Han Mei sneered.
There was a long silence on the line. Han Mei then heard him released a deep breath.
“I know, I deserve your wrath. I’m sorry that I have wronged you. But, don’t you think another scandal will help you or your family?” Zang Fang asked seriously.
