My Naughty Fake Bride - 74 Wake up as Walking Dead
If Han Feng learned about this, he would not let Han Jun go to City S anymore and just look for Han Mei in the current city. Han Jie doesn’t want that to happen before she could be given a chance to talk to her sister.
There was no way she would let that happen.
It was her small revenge for them having fun of her earlier.
Also, she just doesn’t want Han Jun to have an easy time.
‘Serves him right!’ Han Jie snickers to herself as she silently laughed evilly.
“Let’s go home.” She declared.
“No, Miss. We need to go to the clinic.” Jonah reminded her, which made her immediately grimace.

Hours later…
Han Jie jerked awake wondering where she was. It was dark inside the room. ‘Still at the bakery shop?’ She thought as she snuggled into her pillow. Her eyes finally adjusted to the darkness thus she realized that she was back in her room in the hotel.
‘Nope, the bakery was only a dream…’ She remembered going to the hotel clinic.
As expected, Bai Min had given her an earful and prescribed for her to have a full body checkup in a hospital. He then gave her medicine that immediately made her drowsy.
Han Jie remembered, falling asleep in the clinic. But she was already, probably, Jonah must have brought her back.
I’m so sleepy, I feel like I have a hangover. Han Jie thought yawning loudly before opening her eyes. Han Jie smiled softly.
Jonah had brought her back to the hotel safely and she did not even wake up at that time.
‘I must have weighted like a million pounds.’ Han Jie thought as she turned her head to look at the alarm clock on her bedside table.
Han Jie grabbed her back on top of the bedside table and looked for her phone.
She noticed the time and it was already passed four in the morning. Checking her phone further, she realized that Suzuki Kyou had sent her a message couple of hours ago.
‘It couldn’t be!’ Han Jie thought almost jumping out of her bed anxiously. She was late for her date. Yes, the message from Suzuki Kyou was for a dinner date invite.
She was late. Eight hours late to be precise. Han Jie groaned and lay back down on the bed.
‘Why did I let Bai Min force to me drink that medicine?’ She thought angrily to herself then frowned. Han Jie was like a kid who doesn’t like medicine, especially the tablet ones.
While the other side of her brain keeps on complaining about missing out the date, the other was justifying that medicine was good for her health that she had ignored for a while now.
‘So what happened yesterday? I hope he is not mad.’ Han Jie thought unhappily frowning deeply before sighing.
Han Jie had to admit it that even though she was awake and have seen Suzuki Kyou’s message earlier, there was no way she could go to the date.
Han Jie rolled out of bed conscious of the pounding hangover headache she was having as she began to crawl slowly to the bathroom. She knew it was unhygienic but she couldn’t bring herself to stand.
“What am I going to tell Suzuki Kyou now?” Han Jie muttered to herself as she got to the bathroom.
Han Jie stumbled into the bathroom and held onto the sink tightly. Her knuckles were turning white before she relaxed her grip when the world stopped spinning. She looked in the mirror and gasped.
She looked like death warmed over. Her eyes were red and bloodshot, her face looked blotchy and her hair was a mess.
Han Jie hated using pills but she had no choice in this case. She had to meet Suzuki Kyou this morning to apologize. Han Jie wrinkled her nose and swallowed the pill chocking and coughing but without spitting it out. It was another medicine that Bai Min had prescribed.
Han Jie’s eyes watered. “Keep it down. Keep it down.” Han Jie kept muttering to herself, “We have to see him today.”
After a while, Han Jie felt good enough to walk so she took a shower. Han Jie stopped by the mirror after putting on a robe to look at herself.
‘What couldn’t make up fix?’ Han Jie thought staring intently at her reflection.
If she had been going to Suzuki Kyou as herself she wouldn’t have bothered.
She knew Han Mei would have been bothered so Han Jie pretending to be bothered and scrutinized her reflection. Cold compress for her bloodshot eyes. She overslept but she looked more like a person who partied so hard and got so wasted, that would turn into a walking dead when morning comes.
Then Han Jie remembered her sister. Bai Min had stuck the fact in her head that she needed to be mindful of all her actions. Her sister was in the city and could replace her soon.
It was sad to not play pretend anymore, but having Han Mei deal with Suzuki Kyou was the right thing to do.
Han Jie finally decided.
Everything else could be covered by makeup. Her hair was washed and was going to be air-dried. She picked up a dry towel and walked out of the bathroom now that she could make her compress.
Han Jie had just laid down with the compress on her face when her phone rang. Han Jie sighed before picking it up with looking at the caller ID.
“Hello?” Han Jie said softly.
“Han Mei? It’s me Wang Jin.” Wang Jin said.
Han Jie frowned. “Oh, hi Wang Jin.” Han Jie said sounding cheerful, as she repairs the cold compress on her face.
“Are you with Suzuki Kyou? I hope I’m not interrupting anything.” Wang Jin said suggestively.
Han Jie laughed. She finds it funny that the woman would act friendly at her. Also, she and Suzuki Kyou were not that close to go to the intimate route.
‘Aside from that, even though we are close, there was no way a very pervy accident would happen.’ She thought to herself.
“How was the date?” Wang Jin asked curiously. Which surprised Han Jie since the woman wanted her to leave Suzuki Kyou after all.
“No, I didn’t make it to our date.” Han Jie said sadly. “But, am I not your brother’s competition. Why do you sound like you are rooting for me, now?”
“Oh goodness, why did you not make it?” Wang Jin asked concerned. Han Jie then heard her released a heavy sigh, “Their situation is really way complicated, than what I have imagined. Just refer to the previous scandal that is still being fixed as of this moment. So imagine how big of a bomb is if my brother and Kyou really announced their relationship?”
“Er… I don’t really know about that.” Han Jie said. Not all people were accepting of the gender barrier thingy, especially when referring to the people of the third sex. But if given more time, and it was proven that such a choice would not harm the others it would be all fine eventually.
“Nevermind that. But what happened to you yesterday?” Wang Jin curiously asked.
“I was not feeling so well and overslept.” Han Jie muttered as she looked at the time. It was passed 5 am and Wang Jin was already calling her. ‘Something is up.’ Yet, Han Jie did not hang up the phone and decided to talk to Wang Jin casually.
She wanted to not hold any grudge.
“Oh! I hope you feel better now. So are you going to call him and apologize?” Wang Jin asked.
“I’m thinking of going to him instead to apologize.” Han Jie said excitedly. She just needed to look decent first and not like a zombie with a hangover.
Wang Jin was quiet, before she asked sadly, “Could you tell him I’m sorry too?”
“Why can’t you tell him yourself?” Han Jie asked suspiciously. There was supposed to be a lot of opportunities to talk to Suzuki Kyou when they were in Wang Jin’s house.
“Because he wouldn’t talk to me, anymore about it…” Wang Jin said honestly.
‘Ah! He was pure business now.’ Han Jie realized. It was her turn to be quiet.
“Why don’t we go together? We could go shopping then after?” Han Jie offered enthusiastically. She sounded like someone who was kind and cared. But in truth, Han Jie had a different goal in mind…
