My Naughty Fake Bride - 78 Straight to the Poin
Since she was not a stranger in his house, the staff had let her in. Wang Jin remembered that day clearly like it was yesterday.
***
Two years ago…
She had been sitting on the front steps of his house. Suntan oil glistening on her skin. She had been wearing a three-piece blush pink bikini with a see-through robe like the cover of the same color.
Wang Jin had always remembered to sit in this position that never failed to make Suzuki Kyou smile. She really hoped that during that he would feel happy that she got back. She was determined to finally seduce Suzuki Kyou on that day.
Then she saw his car parked at the side of the house. Wang Jin’s heart was beating so fast due to the nervousness. It was the first time they would see each other after so many years.
It did not take long for his tall figure to be visible. Wang Jin tried to relax as she put a bright and helpless smile on her face. She was hoping for the best.
He was already walking towards her, with his usual expressionless face. It was not a big deal. He was like this even when they were younger. It was probably because of the Suzuki Family training.
She was still deep in thought when Suzuki Kyou had walked up the stairs. However, he barely noticed her as he passed her after coming down from the car that had gone to pick him up from the airport. In fact, he was even frowning as he walked by.
“Hey!” Wang Jin had yelled shrilly positively affronted that Suzuki Kyou hadn’t even noticed her. “Kyou! Don’t you recognize me?”
Suzuki Kyou looked at her, his head tilted to the side, examining his expression. “You are Wang Jin.” He said finally, sounding so distracted.
“Really? That’s all you have to say?” After years of not seeing each other?” Wang Jin had said controlling her voice to sound soft and hurt.
Suzuki Kyou frown, “Welcome back.” He said as he held out a hand to her.
It was not the best greeting, at least not romantic at all. But she still readily put her in his and followed him.
His mother had become something of a workaholic after Suzuki Kyou’s father’s disappearance a few months ago so his mother wasn’t home.
‘So we can get straight to the point.’ Wang Jin thought giddily.
When they got to his office, Wang Jin broke away from his hold and sat on the office sofa, in the same way, he liked it again.
Suzuki Kyou glanced at her. “Aren’t you cold?” He asked that made her face pale.
Wang Jin felt like crying. “Kyou, don’t you like me anymore? You loved me first!” She could not help asking.
This statement from her, made him frown further. “We need to talk.” He said looking her straight in her eyes and not even looking at her body despite her strategic pose.
Wang Jin had ignored the weird feeling in her stomach as she thought about their wedding plans before her brother messed up the plan.
He hadn’t proposed yet but she was expecting to wear his ring.
Wang Jin tried to smile at him as she waved her hand towards the side of t inviting him to seat beside her.
Suzuki Kyou had ignored her invitation and gotten straight to the point. “I don’t think I know if I really felt love for you before.” He said blandly as though he did not realize the importance and the impact the words were going to have on her.
“What do you mean by that?” Wang Jin had asked her voice small and trembling. Does he mean that he never loved her before? Couldn’t it be right?
“You’re a bright girl Wang Jin, and you know what I mean.” Suzuki Kyou said, still staring unwaveringly at her.
“You are imperfect. How can you be so sure you have never loved me before?” Wang Jin had said quietly in the same small voice.
Suzuki Kyou narrowed his eyes at her. “I’m sure. Because I can let you go.”
She froze on that. It was probably this characteristic of his that she had ignored before. Suzuki Kyou, despite his silence, she was aware that he was cruel. It was either he gets the thing he wanted, or it would be destroyed.
Was he like that in human relationships? Wang Jin could not accept it.
“I don’t believe it… I know you love me instead, and that is why you wanted me to be happy. It was my brother’s fault, right?! I know it!” Wang Jin yelled accusingly before running out of his room and try to recover from the emotional blow.

Present…
She could still remember it clearly. After that time, Wang Jin tried to recover sooner. She then changed her strategy to become his friend.
Wang Jin believed she had taken the news, as well as another person, could have. She believed she had been right that Suzuki Kyou would realize that she was for him all along.
But she was an adult now, only two years younger than him, and could not be reckless. Wang Jin also knew how to act now.
And now, they were the perfect match. Wang Jin believed all she had to do was convince Suzuki Kyou of that, and he’ll come running right back to her.
First, she needed to make Suzuki Kyou realize that Han Mei was not good for him at all. She wanted to destroy her image and make him unable to even be around the woman.
Han Mei would never be as good as Wang Jin was for him.
With that in mind, Wang Jin stared at her smartphone for a while before turning it on. Han Mei had given her a number for someone to contact if she needed a job. Maybe the person could be of any help with her.
Wang Jin dialed the number and waited patiently for the person to pick up the call.
“Chua, Christina.” The person who picked up the call said cheerfully.
“Hello, this is Wang Jin. Han Mei gave me your number.” Wang Jin said, whipping her sweaty palms on her white sundress.
“Han Mei?” there was a long silence, “Oh! Han Jie’s sister. It is pretty easy to get those two mixed up.” He said as though she was waving Wang Jin’s words away.
Wang Jin frowned in confusion. Was it mixed up?
“Han Mei gave me your number. She said to ask you for a job.” Wang Jin said, trying to find the missing piece to the puzzle.
“You sure about that, honey? Han Mei is a little too stuck up about her sister’s work to actually give you my number.” Chua Christina said, sounding suspicious. “Oh well, they are sisters, probably things are different now. There was nothing wrong with helping her too.”
This picked her interest greatly. “It’s possible I confused myself, I’ve been friends with them for a while, and I still mix them up.” Wang Jin said with a fake laugh hoping she had said the right thing.
“Who knows. Probably it was really Han Mei who gave you the card.”
Wang Jin chuckled, “Yeah. They really looked like.” She lied swiftly.
“It’s no biggie. I’ve been friends with Han Jie for a while. It’s the only reason why I can differentiate them.” Chua Christina said, laughing heartily. Wang Jin laughed with her as she tried desperately to ignore the urge to cut the call and find a way to use this new information. “So you, what’s up?”
“Yeah. I was asked to call you and see if you have any job for me.”
“Well, you can send me your CV, and let’s see what I got for you.” He said before giving his email address that she took down quickly.
“Don’t mind me asking. Is there a possibility to work with Han Jie in the future? I am curious about what she does, as she never really told me, and I’m a little too scared to ask Han Mei now. You did mention that they did not approve of her work, after all.” Wang Jin said, digging for more information.
Poor Han Jie. She did not know that her friend would make things complicated for her in the future.
