My Naughty Fake Bride - 98 Adult Talk
“Okay, then. Let’s go. But I wouldn’t be able to go down all the way.” Han Jie said, apparently satisfied with whatever she had found in Wang Jin’s eyes.
Wang Jin smiled. “Of course not. I wouldn’t want to walk all the way down with these shoes either.” Wang Jin said as she did a power pose, her intention was to intimidate Han Jie. And maybe, just maybe, this Han girl would see how better she is for Suzuki Kyou.
Han Jie laughed at the pose and pulled gently on Wang Jin’s arm.
“Come on, let’s go.” Han Jie said, still laughing.
Wang Jin waved at the other members of the room and gave a small, coy, and very seductive smile before strutting out of the room like a runway model. Han Jie was slightly blocked from the view of those behind them since she was shorter.
Bai Min rolled his eyes before scowling fiercely at the closed door. The women just disappeared behind.
Han Jun face was a blank mask until he saw Bai Min’s face.
“You are acting childish,” Han Jun commented mildly. His eyes still on Bai Min.
Han Jun shrugged before turning away from the door, his fierce scowl still in place.
“Of course. And she’s made one out of you too.” Bai Min said as he stared at Han Jun.
Though Han Jun’s face didn’t divulge anything now, but it had when Wang Jin had looked at them trying to be flirty. The brief look of disdain had been long enough on his face for Bai Min to recognize it.
Han Jub shrugged at Bai Min’s words.
He tilted his head, “That woman… Has an aura of a snake,” Han Jun said bluntly.
Bai Min smirked, ‘You can feel it but still hospitable with the person?’ He thought to himself, unable to voice that out as he was afraid that Han Jun would get mad. The man seldom talks to him like this.
So Bai Min nodded, before rubbing his forehead. He felt like having a headache and pretend it is so worse that he can get a month of leave.
“Han Jie is stupid to even have a friend like that,” Han Jun whispered softly. He honestly hoped Han Jie was safe. They might not get along well, but she was still his cousin, even when she, most of the time, bothers him to relieve her boredom.
“There should be a man on every floor.” Han Jun added before fishing out his phone and started tapping nonstop.
“Han Family security?” Bai Min asked. He wasn’t surprised, though.
While Wang Jin had prattled on and annoyed both men with her voice, and suggested for Han Jie to walk down with her, Han Jun had already thought of this assignment for the members of their security teams. One man on each floor of the thirteen floors down from the Han family suite. Each man was to be positioned at the fire escape entrance.
Han Jun nodded, “Not many, but they are there still. Suzuki Kyou’s assigned security could be mobilized too.” He said after giving a small nod to acknowledge Bai Min question.
“Yeah. For security,” Han Jun said, still looking at his phone.
“Oy Junjun, are you sure the security is for safety or make sure that the Han family can’t run away?” Bai Min asked before he managed to process his line of thoughts. ‘Shoot… I hope he did not notice that what I said sounds weird…’
Han Jun frowned, “Yes. It is for everyone’s safety.”
Bai Min sighed in relief. Since Han Jun looked like someone in a good mood, then he will not spoil it.
That is the truth. Han Jun, in reality, is really in a good mood. Between all three of the Han family staying at the suite, they had only three guards, confident of the hotel security. Han Jun was grateful for Suzuki Kyou to allow them such privilege.
They settled in and waited for the news from either of the sisters.

Wang Jin regretted asking Han Jie to walk her down. The girl was silent, and the conversation was barely civil.
Han Jie was breathing heavily, possibly because she was still not feeling well, but Wang Jin didn’t care. Her only wish was that she had worn better shoes than her heels.
Wang Jin looked at Han Jie’s shoes and shuddered in disgust. Flip flops. She barely controlled her expression of disgust.
“Won’t you tell me what’s bothering you?” Wang Jin asked after their conversation had trickled off.
Han Jie jerked from her thoughts, startled from by Wang Jin’s words.
“What?” Han Jie asked without looking at Wang Jin and absently concentrated on the next step.
Wang Jin curled up her lip in anger. She didn’t care if Han Jie was going to see, but she was getting mad.
“Why won’t you tell me what’s bothering you?” Wang Jin semi repeated, not keeping the anger away from her voice.
Han Jie stopped and sighed, rubbing her forehead tiredly.
“I can’t tell you anything just yet.” Han Jie said softly. “But, I will need your help soon to be honest…”
“But why? Aren’t we friends?” Wang Jin asked in an almost sarcastic voice.
“We’ve only been friends for like a week.” Han Jie said, turning to look at Wang, who had stopped a step above her.
“Yeah, so?” Wang Jin asked, liked Han Jie was the idiot.
“So, you don’t just expect me to trust you.” Han Jie said, hands on her hips, she was getting angry too.
“Yes, but I do trust you! We’ve been friends for a few weeks. You got me a job!” Wang Jin said loudly, almost yelling.
“Keep your voice down. We aren’t the only ones in the hotel.” Han Jie said evenly, her fists clenched at her sides. ‘What is wrong with this woman now?’
“My apologies, lady of the manor,” Wang Jin said. Her voice full-on sarcastic.
“Now, what’s that supposed to mean?” Han Jie asked through gritted teeth. She wanted to yell, and her control was slipping.
Wang Jin schooled her expression to look kind and calm. “It means I understand you are the owner’s fiancée, which in turn makes you act like you own it,” She said in a condescending tone, with underlying meaning.
Han Jie rolled her head back and forth across her shoulders before staring rift into Wang Jin’s eyes. “The first time I met you, your friend published something crazy the very next day. What if it happens again?” She began calmly.
“I knew you were going to throw that in my face despite my apologies.” Wang Jin snapped coldly.
Han Jie rolled her eyes. “If you would let me finish…” She said unhappily.
“Finish what Han Mei.” Wang Jin replied with a smirk, “Demoralizing me?”
Han Jie rubbed her temples and sighed.
“This is about Suzuki Kyou, isn’t it? The fact that the engagement is finalized and my family and I are staying here enjoying the hotel benefits, but not your brother. Am I, right?” Han Jie asked mildly.
“You stupid and naive girl. What do you know about anything?” Wang Jin said, her face flushed with embarrassment at what Han Jie had said. “It was not always about brother!’
Han Jie frowned. She knew she was right. But her anger at Wang Jin’s insults made her push on and think about what she seems to be missing out. Don’t tell me…
“If not, your brother, then, to you personally?” Han Jie asked carefully.
The woman snorted, “You are still stupid for figuring it out late.” Wang Jin sardonically smiled as she looked at Han Jie with contempt.
“What is it to you, huh? If you get him, what do you gain? Long-life? World peace?” Han Jie asked sarcastically, rubbing in Wang Jin’s embarrassment.
Wang Jin drew herself up, which made her look way taller than usual. Not to mention her wearing heals still. If one looked at them from afar, Han Jie would look like a kid.
“Do not concern yourself with matters that have to do with adults.” Wang Jin said in a condescending tone again.
Han Jie let out a deep breath and nodded. “Riigght… Bickering with and threatening your competition is so adult.”
