Raizada Holdings Corporations
As soon ‘ Mr. Raizada ‘ entered his office, he saw his brother waiting for him. Leaning against the window with a magazine in his hands, he looked quite impressive.
As soon he heard the footsteps, looking up, his face broke into a wide grin.
” Bro, finally you are back! Did you meet sis-in-law? Is she really that awesome as they describe in magazines and newspaper? ” He asked frantically, searching his brother’s face for any emotion.
Of course, the real intention of the visit was not known to him.

Mr. Raizada raised his eyes at him. This brother of his was more excited for the upcoming nupitals than him. In fact, if truth be told, both the families were excited for this alliance except for Sofya and himself. For them, it was a match made in heavens. They both would have also felt so if they had been not coerced into accepting this marriage, or ‘ if ‘ they had been in love.
He shook his head. Sitting behind his desk, he began to shuffle through the papers that required his signature. Seeing his bro not replying, Advay sat across from him. Then the bulb in his head lit. He was after all not a dumb child.
He chuckled humorously before saying, ” Fine don’t answer. I don’t want you to spoil the surprise anyway. I will see for myself when I meet her tomorrow. ”
” What do you mean? ” Asked Mr. Raizada, as his hands froze while signing on the papers. His face darkened. There was no way Grandpa would have extended the invitation to the whole Raizada family.
But that’s what he did!
” That’s right. ” Advay chimed, then he added. ” Dad is also very excited to meet her. ”
” Great. ” Groaned Mr Raizada. This Sofya was turning into nusiance.
” All right, I will be off. Can’t wait for tomorrow night. ” With that Advay hopped away, grinning from ear to ear.
Mr. Raizada sat still. He hadn’t really expected things to turn out this way. He had hoped to teach Sofya a little lesson tomorrow, but with Dad there, it was of no use. He ran his hands through his messy hairs in frustration. Who the hell came up with the idea of marriage in the first place?
The next day passed without any response from either Sofya or Mr. Raizada. Advay on the other hand, was too excited, so much that he even missed his last two classes at the college to be at the exhibition on time.
Likewise, Susan was also excited. It was the first time that she was about to formally meet her bro-in-law, the great Arnav Singh Raizada in person. She had heard so much about him, his stories of success, glory and passion towards his work. She couldn’t be happier for her sister.
” Sis, does he look the same as in newspaper u0026 magazines? ” Susan asked her sister, as she was choosing among the various dresses to wear for the night.
Sofya rolled her eyes. Since the day that it had been decided that they were going to marry, it was not a single day that she had not heard the name ‘ Arnav ‘ in the household. It was another thing to hear about him in office, but she had thought, at least she would get some peace at home from that headache, alas, her this hope had also been shattered.
” Of course, he would, wouldn’t he? They are the one and same person. ” Sofya answered through gritted teeth.
” Of course sis, I know that. But did you know? He is the most eligible bachelor in the entire country. Women throw themselves at him, he is every woman’s dream. ”
‘ Not mine. ‘ Sofya thought inwardly.
” Of course, they all are just gold diggers and nothing more, but I am really happy for you. I really hope you do find love in this forced marriage. ” Susan continued, not noticing her sister’s scrunched face. She then added softly, looking at her sister’s face ” Mom and Dad would have been very proud.”
A lump rose in Sofya’s throat. Her eyes welled up with emotions and tears. She felt as if something had shattered inside her. Even though it had been almost 10 years, the memory was as fresh as though it had happened yesterday only. No matter what she did, she was unable to forget it. Sometimes, she would even dream about it and end up shouting out things, her pillow a mess of tears, but nothing could be done. The past was in the past.
” I know.” Sofya replied, turning away.
