My OP Minion System in the Apocalypse - Chapter 293 Break
I had been away from my city for an extended period, and it was essential to determine if my people were still loyal to me. As a ruler, I understood the weight that the crown carried. It was more than a mere adornment. It represented power and control, but also a great risk. Anyone who wore it was at risk of having it seized by another.
Although my confidence in my power was unwavering, I knew that it was never wise to underestimate the thoughts and desires of others. Hence, I decided to reach out to my people and earn their trust. After several days of meeting with my citizens and hearing their concerns, I returned to my home, exhausted but relieved.
As the sun descended, and the sky transformed into a canvas of pastel hues, I sank onto my bed, weary and in need of rest. Yet, before closing my eyes, I opened the advanced control menu, as I needed to assess the current state of my army. The recent battle had taken a toll, and I had lost several soldiers, but I had also created new ones. I was eager to see the strength of my military force. However, before I could navigate the advanced control menu, the minion manager entered my room, bearing the daily report.
The report contained crucial information that I needed. It outlined the current state of my army, detailing the strength of each unit, as well as the total resources at my disposal. The manager informed me that a minion, assigned to spy on other cities, had returned with critical information that I needed to know. The minion had been waiting for my arrival for days, eager to share what they had discovered.
Although I was intrigued by the minion’s report, I was too exhausted to speak with anyone. Thus, I instructed the minion manager to inform the spy that I would speak with them the next day. Once he had left, I focused my attention on the daily report, studying it meticulously to determine my next course of action.
As I perused the report, I could hear the distant murmurs of my citizens, the faint sound of their voices reminding me of my duty as their leader. It was my responsibility to protect them, to ensure their safety and well-being. And I knew that I could only do so if I remained vigilant, if I continued to assess the state of my army and resources, and if I remained alert to any potential threats that may emerge.

As I savored the taste of my dinner, I couldn’t help but let my mind wander. I thought about the progress that I had made so far and the challenges that lay ahead. It was clear that I had a long way to go before I could claim my rightful place among the most powerful kings in the world.
Despite the enormity of the task before me, I remained determined and focused. I knew that with hard work, dedication, and a bit of luck, I could achieve my goals and take my city to even greater heights.
As I finished my meal, I stood up and walked over to the window, gazing out at the city that lay before me. The streets were quiet, and the night sky was filled with stars. It was a peaceful moment, and I felt a sense of contentment wash over me.
But my peace was short-lived, as my thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps approaching my door. I turned around and saw the minion manager standing in front of me, a look of urgency on his face.
“Your highness,” he said, bowing respectfully. “I bring urgent news.”
“What is it?” I asked, my heart pounding in my chest.
“It’s about the intelligence variant that returned with news from the other cities,” he replied. “It’s important that you hear what he has to say.”
Without hesitation, I followed the minion manager outside, where the intelligence variant was waiting for me. He bowed respectfully and began to speak.
“Your highness,” he said, “I bring news of a city that poses a significant threat to our kingdom. They have amassed a large army and are planning an attack on our city.”
My mind raced as I tried to come up with a plan to defend my kingdom. The threat was real, and I knew that I needed to act quickly if I wanted to protect my people.
“Thank you for bringing this to my attention,” I said to the intelligence variant. “I will take the necessary steps to ensure the safety of our kingdom.”
With that, I turned to the minion manager and instructed him to assemble the troops and prepare for battle. The time had come for me to prove my worth as a leader and protect my people at all costs.
