My Queen Of Terra - Chapter 231 I LOVE HIM, YOUR HIGHNESS!

Her hands flew to her parted lips as the offer was very tempting. She wanted to be with Raigon more than anything, if only it wasn’t necessary for him to stay and fulfill his responsibility as the Crowned Prince of this land.

She was about to answer him when they heard scuffling feets from one of the caverns in the tunnel.

“Can’t we just spend some time alone?” Raigon gritted his teeth.

As the shadows approached them, he lifted his sword and pointed it at whoever was out there.

“It is us, your Highness.”

Zoe’s eyes widened in excitement. It is Azra!

Because of the recent events they almost forgot that they were here for Azra and Erin.

“Erin?” She called out to her.

“I’m here, sissie!” Erin answered back as she dashed towards Zoe.

“Are you all right?” She immediately checked on Zoe as she recalled their previous conversation with Lord Hou.

“Why are you asking me? You’re the one who got in trouble!”

Zoe’s eyes glared at Azra as she saw a small cut on Erin’s throat.

Erin, seeing that Zoe was blaming Azra, put her palms on her cheeks and twisted her head towards her.

“He saved me.” She explained to her.

Meanwhile, Azra fell down on Raigon’s feet.

“I don’t deserve to live, your Highness!”

Raigon pulled Azra up but Azra put his head lower to the ground.

He has never disobeyed even a minute order from the royal family in his entire life. And he took pride in it.

But now that he has disobeyed a great command of the Queen, he has no face to make a stand in front of everybody and live in honor.

Aside from that he could no longer live as a servant with a stain on his reputation. He doesn’t know how else he could live.

“Please kill me now, your Highness. I was supposed to do it anyway after I brought milady to safety.”

“What?” Erin swiveled back as she heard Azra’s remarks.

“So that is what you are planning to do? You shouldn’t have saved me then.” Erin uttered again with obvious pain as her voice faltered.

“I have no regrets, milady. My journey in saving you were the happiest moments in my life.”

Azra lifted his head and smiled at her with a loving look, a thing he has never done in front of anybody.

Then he positioned himself to face Raigon again.

“And I would be more than happy to die in your hands than Lord Vigo, your Highness. It is both an honor and a privilege to serve you.”

He smiled genuinely at him and gave him a formal bow.

Zoe was speechless as she stared at Raigon who bowed to Azra in response to his address to him as both a royal and his master.

“No, please. I deserve to be punished. I am the reason why he escaped, your Highness. Please punish me severely and don’t include Lord Azra in my sanction.”

“Erin!” “Milady!”

Azra and Zoe gasped in bewilderment. Zoe shook her head to Raigon. To her surprise, Raigon winked at her as a clever idea came to him making Zoe furrow her brows at him.

Still, she allowed him to do what he has in mind.

“Why would you exchange your life for his? If you answer me truthfully, I will spare his life.”

“Because I love him, your Highness!” Erin blurted out without even thinking twice as her eyes were still closed.

Azra’s mouth dropped open at Erin’s direct revelation of what is in her heart.

“He’s a good, honest and sweet man. He deserves to have a good and long life.”

Erin was now sobbing as she thought of him with white hair and glasses like Lord Hou and taking care of his grandchildren with his stern but kind attitude.

At the same time, Zoe reflected on what she said to Raigon. He also has the same characteristics. And on top of that, he also deserves to live in longevity.

‘A thing that is impossible to accomplish whenever he was with me.’

She thought to herself as her mouth twitched downward.

Meanwhile, Azra’s mouth unconsciously curved up at Erin’s appreciation of him, making him feel elated and double minded about killing himself so he could spend more time with her.

His forehead scrunched up as he looked at the Crowned Prince. Raigon winked at him and motioned him to look at Erin with his thumb as if he was telling him “There’s your girl. It’s now your turn.”

Azra glanced at Erin who was still sniffing and her head was still bowed down to Raigon.

He immediately stood up and went to her side.

“I know that he’s honest and good. But I am not certain about him being sweet.” Raigon rubbed his chin.

“I’m sorry to break the news to you.” He added as he pulled out something from his Hanfu again.

Erin extended his hands to cover Azra at the thought that he was going to pull out his knife again.

To her surprise, he pulled out a paper and exclaimed.

“The case is opened again for re-investigation. You can now go back and prove your innocence.”

Azra and Erin glanced at each other in wide eyed disbelief.

Erin, who cannot control herself quickly encircled Azra in her arms with a Cheshire like grin.

“You’re not going to die!”

Zoe gave a proud look to Raigon and went to his side. He put his arms around her shoulder and pulled her closer to him.

“You did an excellent job, your Highness.” Zoe whispered as she felt his heartbeat with his cheeks.
