My Queen Of Terra - Chapter 242 ***DO NOT OPEN

A bittersweet smile curled Zoe’s mouth as she saw Raigon’s apologetic gesture.
‘I made the right move.’
She thought to herself as she realized that he was also thinking about the same thing. And he must have his reasons for doing so.
“Don’t worry about me, I understand.” Zoe gave him a reassuring smile.
She knew deep down that Raigon would not even think about it if the stakes are not that high.
Raigon tried to explain the situation to Zoe so he can also ask about what she thinks about it.
“I cannot risk your safety with this.”
His eyes narrowed as he remembered how she almost died numerous times before.
When she was at the Blackvine Forest attacked by the wolves twice, when she was under the sea with an assassin and when she was at the last game in their reunion event where she was almost shot if he hadn’t intervened.
Zoe’s eyes widened at the revelation that someone was still after her life even in this land. But they went back to its normal state as she recalled that she was an intruder in this land, the daughter of a half-ling and the daughter of the Queen’s mortal enemy.
Raigon has all the reason to worry about her as she remembered the numerous times he has saved her before, risking his life for her sake every time.
As she recalled his last saving stint where she almost died of blood loss in her hands, her shoulders dropped as she thought of her life getting in danger and him doing it again.
She shook her head so that she could forget that awful memory. She would agree to whatever Raigon has in mind, not because she was afraid to die. But because she was afraid that Raigon would, in his attempt to save her again.
But to her horror, what she was fearing for suddenly turned into a reality as Raigon uttered to her.
“Someone’s coming!”
Zoe swiveled to look at what Raigon was referring to and was horrified to see a group of men coming towards them on horseback.
“Stay behind me!”
Raigon stood on his stance as they drew near to them. He was about to pull out the letter from his hand when he realized that they were not the royal guards but seemed to be the men who wore black from head to foot.
His eyes widened in horror because he knew that these men looked like the people who were at the outskirts on the day he rescued Zoe from being attacked underwater.
Aside from the fact that he doesn’t know if they recognize his being a Crowned Prince, they were also outnumbered.
Raigon immediately dashed towards Zoe’s horse to go the opposite way of where they were going.
“Go there now!”
Aside from the fact that he doesn’t know who is his enemy an
Then he lifted up Zoe so she could climb Steel. As soon as she was properly seated, he also climbed up and took her away from that place as far as possible.
Zoe glanced at Raigon as his dark blue eyes
eyes fixed on the direction of where they are going. His eyebrows furrowed and his jaw clenched as he was determined to keep Zoe away from harm.
Fortunately, their oppressors followed after the other horse and they were able to reach the hidden cavern known only to the royal family.
“Whew! That was a close one!”
As soon as they were sure that they were safe, Zoe immediately checked on Raigon from head to foot.
“Did you get hurt anywhere?”
Raigon shook his head as he also assessed her if she didn’t get any wounds.
“Must this keep happening every time we’re together?”
She exclaimed in hopelessness.
Raigon drew in a deep breath as he also doesn’t know the answer to that question.
“I will take care of this as the Crowned Prince of Terra. I will make them pay for their impudence.”
His teeth gritted as he was also furious that they had the courage to do this to them.
“I also want Terra to return to its good condition…”
‘Even though I am not a part of it. Maybe if I would let you go, you would not be bothered anymore.’
She wanted to add but she clamped her lips as she desired to alleviate Raigon’s sufferings somehow.
As she was alone and finally thinking about her own situation, she put herself in the shoes of Raigon.
And she realized how hard it must be for him to solve all the cases he has to deal with her around.
“You are the Crowned Prince of this land. Do what you need to do.”
She bowed down to him making Raigon heave out a deep sigh.
“I also want to apologize in behalf of my family.”
His voice suddenly softened as he gave a sympathetic gaze on Zoe. This is what he really wanted to say.
He doesn’t want her to experience anymore agony from what she has suffered in the past. Enough is enough!
“It’s no big deal.” Zoe gave him a reassuring smile as she touched his arms and then pulled back.
Ever since she witnessed how their family argued and became at odds with one another because of her, she was guilt stricken already about it.
Raigon is fortunate that he has a loving family and they were all alive. Unlike her. And she doesn’t want him to experience the emptiness of losing a family.
But it seemed like Raigon was the one who
