My Queen Of Terra - Chapter 246 WHILE WAITING
Their bodies were now sprawled on the sands as they both looked at the afternoon sky.
“Do you think they would still come back?”
Zoe finally uttered as she was contemplating on this thought throughout their waiting time. She was trying to hold on for so long but doubts were already sinking in her mind.
‘What if he tried so hard but he failed? What if he decided that it would just be best for the both of us to stay apart?’
She already willingly let go of the fact that his relatives made her mother suffer then so that she could be with him. But what if they were doing the same thing to her and him?
“By all means!” Erin cheered her up. “Just wait, sissie. Everything will fall in its place.”
Zoe sat up and stared at a mile distance.
Lord Howe Island formed out of an extinct volcano that last erupted over 7 million years ago. As a result, the seafloor has many drop offs, trenches, and caves, which helps make it a diver’s paradise.
Zoe was used to being very appreciative of nature. But this time around, she could not see its beauty at all as her eyes wandered to a far off land which beauty transcends all picturesque islands in the world.
Erin sat up with her and gazed at where her eyes were directed at.
“Don’t you want to wait for a little bit more? They must be held up by something.”
She gave a side glance at Zoe who seemed to be disheartened at the tedious journey of waiting for her beloved.
“I don’t know. It’s been some time already. We could be just waiting in vain.”
Zoe’s lips twitched downward as she wiggled her feet into the sands. They have tried out every tour that Lord Howe Island has to offer to distract themselves from their loneliness of being apart from the two Terrans.
Fortunately, they still have money left in their savings. And their relatives also send more after they have come to know that they were still alive. To their good fortune, they don’t inquire anymore why they were still staying at the island.
They believed that they were not on Lord Howe and helping the needy in medical missions, which is just common to them.
“And what if they come back and they don’t see us here? They could have risked their lives in vain.”
Zoe nodded in agreement to her. It might be true. But then again, Zoe has something else in mind.
“What if they came back but still, we could not stay with them? What’s the point if we can’t be together? We should just go back to our previous life and move on.”
She continued to utter in an expressionless, unsmiling face and put her arms around herself.
But as she was thinking about it, every word stung her heart, as if just going to the airport of Lord Howe Island breaks them into pieces.
‘Can I really live without him after experiencing having him beside me and caring for me like I’m the most precious woman in the world?’
Zoe suddenly stood up. “Haa! This is driving me insane!”
She then stomped off and grabbed her stuff.
“Wait, where are you going?” Erin followed after her in a matter of seconds, giving time to swivel and make a quick prayer before leaving.
“God, please help the two fulfill their mission.” Then she quickly ran to Zoe, who answered her abruptly.
“I’m leaving.”

On the other hand at Terra, Raigon was pacing back and forth as he thought about the situation. And no matter what he did, he couldn’t think of a way on how the people could accept Zoe’s race.
‘Should I just go to her now? What if she learned that my people couldn’t accept her? Would she still come with me?’
He contemplated as he recalled her last words.
“I will only come back if your people would accept us.”
Raigon heaved out a deep sigh. It seemed that even though he tried everything, from solving Azra’s case, the assassination of the Queen and the Queen’s ill feelings towards her, he’s still a long way from fulfilling Zoe’s dreams.
His body hunched forward as he just felt all the weariness that he was oblivious at when he was determined to fix everything for her.
However, he would not lose hope. He decided to call on Azra so they could go to Lord Howe Island.
“Will it be alright, your Highness? We don’t have a solution yet as to how our people can accept her.”
Azra responded in doubt as he was present when Zoe uttered those words.
Raigon heaved out a deep sigh. “I know. I just want to check on her. It’s been a while and I’m not sure how she is holding up.”
Azra bowed his head as he readied their horses. Though deep inside, he was wondering if it was the right thing to do.
He also wanted to see Lady Erin. But the Crowned Prince is risking his life again by leaving Terra. And they still weren’t sure of how the people could accept her.
Still, he respected the Crowned Prince’s decision.
In no time, they were already at Lord Howe Island.
They went to every place that they must have gone into as they both recalled the times when they were on the island.
But they didn’t see any trace of Zoe and Erin.
“Maybe, I made a wrong decision. I shouldn’t have come here.”
Raigon’s head hunched down as he turned his back to the port. But as he swiveled, the most beautiful lady he has seen in his entire life appeared again in his sight.

“What we are waiting for is not as important as what happens to us while we are waiting. Trust the process.”
