My Queen Of Terra - Chapter 251 TREATING THE KING OF TERRA 2
Duke Andras, his father and currently the High Chancellor of Terra, was also there, arguing about what he said is an improper and cruel punishment for his son.
“How could you banish the leader of the royal armed forces for decades? It was not even his intentions to kill the King! The one who should be exiled is the guard who made a mistake in spilling the cursed arsenic!”
He growled in a deep angry voice to the other members of the Council like a lion snarling to the other wild animals in the jungle who are attempting to take over his kingship in their territory.
Some members of the Royal Council agreed with him as they also nodded their heads, pouring on the fuel of his wrath to defend his son.
However, the King who has the highest authority over everyone present was in the midst of them and he has a differing opinion about it.
“I also do not want to see him in such a state. He is my nephew and also a part of the Wangs. But his crime is despicable!”
King Artair now stood up from his throne and lifted his chin, creating an atmosphere of authority that deserved submission and respect.
“That royal guard who dropped the arsenic on the cupcakes would be punished severely. But Lord Vigo deserved to be exiled from the land so that he could not influence other people to commit a grave sin again.”
He concluded the matters ending any form of rebuttal from escaping the mouths of anyone in the room.
Raigon thought that everything would be fine now as his shoulders relaxed. But Duke Andras pressed on his stance. Perhaps being overly familiar with the King as his brother.
“If Lord Vigo would be banned from Terra, then you should come with him. You, who have just been liberated because of your royalty.”
Duke Andras snapped back, to the horror of everyone present who had witnessed his debasing remark.
King Artair froze on his track, being taken aback by his brother’s comment. The royal guards who were assigned to protect the King, quickly fell in line to guard him and pointed their sword at everyone present.
‘I cannot take this anymore.’
Raigon was just eavesdropping outside the room. But when he learned that his father was being slandered publicly, he stormed inside at the speed of light.
To everyone’s shock, he stood in front of the royal guards who were protecting the King with his back on them. Then he lifted his sword from its sheath and pointed it to Duke Andras and to anyone who would try to dare badmouth the King.
“Forgive me Uncle. But no tongue has the authority to slander the King.”
But instead of cowering down, Duke Andras face turned into a half-grimace and half-sniggering creature.
Raigon was about to retort back when the Royal Council members cupped their mouths in bewilderment.
“Your Majesty!”
At the speed of light, Raigon pivoted around to see what surprised them more than him pointing his sword at his own uncle.
One hand of King Artair was clutching his chest and the other hand was looking for the nearby arm rest of the royal throne.
“Father!” Raigon immediately ran to his side and held his trembling body.
“Take care… of this… matter…” He whispered to him before he passed out.
Raigon’s forehead scrunched in confusion but he had no time for that.
“Get the stretcher!”
Like lightning, the stretcher was brought in less than a minute. Raign and the others lifted him up from the throne and made him lie down on it so they could take him to a room where they could treat him.
“Stay away, Uncle. And please don’t show yourself to my Father unless he is allowed to.”
Raigon was able to say in a controlled manner to Duke Andras who was attempting to help his brother recover quickly.
‘He knows that Father is sick. He should have been more considerate with his words if he is really concerned about his health.’
Duke Andras was about to respond but they were already carrying the King off to a more peaceful place.
As they left the room, they were able to pass by Zoe, Azra and Erin.
“Your Majesty!” They all bowed down to him. The royal council members didn’t pay any attention to them as they were busy transferring him.
But Raigon glanced at them and called on Zoe.
“Come here, Lady Asha!”
Seeing the horrendous state of the King, Zoe quickly ran to his side and immediately checked on his pulse and airway breathing without being asked to.
“What are you doing, lady? No one can touch or treat the King except for a royal physician!”
One of the royal members commented in contempt at the lady who dared touch the King just because of his condition.
Zoe paused at his remark, but her hands were still on the King’s wrist.
“She is now. Please continue.”
It was Raigon who retorted back, to everyone’s shock. But it seemed that the Crowned Prince was serious as his eyes were fixed on the King’s face, waiting for even a little bit of consciousness.
Zoe proceeded on taking the vital signs of the King.
“He’s still breathing. But I think he needs CPR immediately.”
“CPR?” The royal council glanced at each other and then at the Crowned Prince, who nodded to her as if he understood what she meant.
Everyone’s mind is united in asking what is going on around here and why the Crowned Prince is allowing someone who is not from the Royal Infirmary to check on the King.
