My Queen The King - Chapter 2 The Sun Woke Me Up Like You
The dark figure carried the bundle through the streets of the city. Although the streets were full and busy, no one seems to notice as it slips in and out the shadows.
Looking around, the figure spotted a woman with a stroller. Tentatively it crept closer, the woman talking on the phone never noticing. The figure peeked inside the stroller, where a beautiful infant boy resides. It looks from the bundle within its embrace to the boy and back again.
Slowly, it lifts the boy out and onto the ground, softly. Then the figure lifts out from its bundle, a baby boy identical to the infant it had just placed onto the floor. Placing gently the new baby into the stroller it gave it one last look.
Slowly Yuli opened her eyes and raised one hand to block the sunlight. It’s morning and the road ahead of her is still long.
” Callie”
Immediately, the fair haired woman that has been beside her since she woke tilted her head.
” How far until our destination?”
Callie holds up three fingers to signify three miles.
Yuli looked into the far distance from the debris that she made her bed on.
Since the magic wave, the world has been a battle field. On the day everything collapsed, two world got brutally mixed together. New creature rose with the ones that have always existed with humanity.
Naturally chaos and battle broke out, and the ones that remained unchanged or weak ultimately died.
Rising Yuli pack up her blankets and starts to walk. Walking towards what she hopes is right because every step is getting heavier and heavier.
Everyone was looking at the door with enough concentration to burn a hole through it. As Wei Ming spots the head of the defense apartment Romano, he went to join the line with him.
“Hey Romano how it been lately?”
Before Wei Ming was promoted to being the head of citizen service ship, he was a sergeant under Romano in the defense department so the two of them have a pretty good relationship.
” It’s been pretty peaceful lately so I get to get off shift earlier these days” Romano replied smiling. “Anyway do you know what’s wrong with Sir Kang today? I was on daily patrol today and I got an emergency notice to head back here immediately. Then the minute I got here I saw Sir Kang and his hair. Do you know how spiritually traumatized I am?” Romano goes on fuming about how balding men in their seventies trying to part their hair in two is a crime when the atmosphere became completely dead silent.
The front opened slowly, and a graceful figure walks through it. Though the figure’s action was subtle and completely noiseless, it commands the attention of the entire room.
Lifting up her face, with eyes the darkest shade of black, she looked around as if looking for something. Walking forward, she bowed slightly to the entire room and introduced herself.
“Greetings, my name is Yuli.”
