My Queen The King - Chapter 4 You Came As Quiet As The Snow
Wei Ming watched as Yuli fights with Romano. At first glance, although the girl have a commanding aura, she still looks delicate. After watching Yuli fight, Wei Ming felt himself respecting Yuli despite the fact that she was beating his friend.
To be honest, it was more like she was bullying him than fighting. A lot of people in the room covered their eyes out of respect for Romano.
Walking through the crowd of people, Yuli made her way to the lush sofa chairs in the lobby and sat down on one.
” There is one reason to why I am here today. I want back what’s mine.”
This made everyone even more confused then they already are. They barely know this girl, what could they possibly have that’s hers?
Abruptly, Yuli stood up and frantically looks around the room again. With hopeful gazes, she took small steps forward towards the crowd.
“Please… please let you be here.” Yuli keeps muttering the same phrase over and over again until she slows to a stop in front of Wei Ming.
Now Wei Ming was scared. Of all the people in the crowd she just had to single him out! He did not wish to end up like Romano who was carried away by two officers.
Yuli reach out to touch Wei Ming in such a tender way that anyone can see the affection clear as day. Wei Ming’s heart hurts as he look into her eyes.
‘Who are you? And why do you look at me with the pain of a lifetime?’
“Do you trust me?” Yuli ask this almost shyly her heart bracing against his answer.
Do he trust her? This girl with such tired and sorrowful eyes.
Seeing that Wei Ming was hesitant to answer, Yuli gave a small smile of understanding. Reaching up to her to left ear, she took off her earring and place it into his hand.
“The choice was always yours.” Yuli chuckles softy. “And I’m glad it was always so.”
Gently letting go of his hand Yuli walks out of the building just as it starts to snow, the remaining earring on her ear shining more dazzling than ever as it fades out of sight.
On the outskirts of the city’s wall, Callie patiently stood near waiting. She wonders if Yuli has finished what she came here for.
“Callie”
Callie turns around just in time to see Yuli jumping down from the wall. Sprinkles of snow have landed on her dark hair and Callie thought Yuli looks very endearing.
Callie arch a brow and point towards the city asking if she did what she needed.
“I did, but we’re going to have to wait around for a few days to see what he chose to do.” Yuli looks around at the freshly fallen snow. The debris and wrecked buildings look much softer than before. Less harsh… almost beautiful.
“Come Callie, let us set up a camp for tonight.”
Yuli starts to head towards a building making a trail of footprints as she go. As Callie follows, she was suddenly was afraid that one day she might lose Yuli. If Yuli falls she can’t pick her back up. All she can ever do is silently encourage her to get back up.
