My Real-life Dating Sim Game - Chapter 56
[Yaya, is this possible?? Getting a second AI? They’re forcing me, ah!] Lai Jiayi looked at Yaya with teary eyes. The girl was afraid that Yaya would feel down or something.
But contrary to her thoughts, Yaya only nodded.
[It’s possible, quack. But isn’t this good? You have more allies, quack!] Yaya grinned as he silently thought.
‘There must be something wrong here. There’s no way the game company sends more than an AI to a player. Except…’
Yaya gulped.
‘Maybe the game company wants to keep an eye on Jia? We, the AI assigned for the players, are supposed to monitor them and be the surveillance camera.’
Yaya lowered his head.
‘But unlike the others, I don’t send the footage of my camera 24 hours a day. I only send them the things I think are safe to be sent. Things regarding Jia’s father and such…or her interaction with Zhao Yang…’
Yaya closed his eyes and sighed.
‘I didn’t send it. But in the first place, we aren’t supposed to be able to act like this. I don’t know why I can, though.’
Yaya subconsciously pursed his beak.
‘Every AI has a special skill made personally by Zhao Yang. So…is this my special skill? But what is it? I thought I couldn’t follow the program set for me because I’m a defect. A failure…’
Yaya inhaled sharply. The duck went silent for a few seconds before he peeked at Zhao Yang.
‘One day, I should ask Zhao Yang. But for now, I have to meet Bunnie and warn her not to do anything bad to Jia.’
Yaya clenched his wings.
‘If my guess is right, the game company sends Bunnie to Jia so that they can keep an eye on her since I can’t be relied on! Maybe this is why the punishment earlier is also forcing me to be replaced.’
Yaya looked up at Lai Jiayi. The girl was eating her soup while fidgeting a bit. She’s nervous about Bunnie’s case. That’s for sure.
Yaya inhaled and exhaled. The duck then stayed on Lai Jiayi’s shoulder as he rubbed his cheek to the girl’s neck.
‘Jia…I will never let those people harm you! Even if I have to defy the company I worked for.’
[Jia, you okay, quack?] Yaya suddenly asked. The duck just wanted to bait Lai Jiayi to talk about Bunnie again.
[I’m fine. I’m just surprised I will get another AI. Ah, right…] Lai Jiayi paused. She looked at the duck on her right shoulder. [When will Bunnie come here? I don’t think the game company will deliver her immediately– ]
Lai Jiayi’s words got stuck in her throat since the girl saw a blue shadow of a small figure. The figure floated toward her in a low aptitude, but it was so fast that in no time, it suddenly latched onto Lai Jiayi’s leg.
A soft, furry sensation rubbed against the girl’s leg.
!
Lai Jiayi subconsciously looked down at her left leg and found a small blue rabbit was hugging her ankle.
“B-bunnie?” Lai Jiayi bent her back and whispered to the rabbit.
‘She is here already?! So fast!’
“G-good afternoon…” Bunnie whispered as she looked up at Lai Jiayi with her watery eyes. The rabbit didn’t let go of Lai Jiayi’s leg and just stayed there.
This made Lai Jiayi enter a panic mode.
‘Tianjin or Zhao Yang will see her if she keeps clutching my leg! Then, it will be hard to explain. Arghhh.’
The girl squeezed her eyes, thinking of a way when she got an idea.
‘Okay, let’s escape to the toilet!’
Lai Jiayi suddenly stood up, startling the others across her.
“Eh, what’s wrong, miss– ”
“I-i will be back!” Lai Jiayi dashed to the restroom along with Yaya and Bunnie, who was still hanging on her leg. The girl was gone in a blink of an eye that the duo Zhao only gaped.
Zhao Yun looked at Zhao Yang with confusion in his eyes while Zhao Yang shrugged.
“Maybe she has a stomach ache or diarrhea. Or maybe both.”
“Ah, yes, yes, can be!” Zhao Yun believed his uncle so fast that Tianjin had the urge to slap Zhao Yang’s head.
‘How can you straight up lie about a girl’s illness? Talking about diarrhea and stomach ache in front of the young master…that’s embarrassing!’
Tianjin inhaled and exhaled, trying not to erupt.
‘Master doesn’t know a maiden’s heart. Can’t be helped. If that Jia girl heard this…she will feel like dying though.’
While Tianjin prayed for Lai Jiayi’s mental health, Lai Jiayi was currently having a meeting inside the restroom.
The girl stood behind the door and carefully picked up the trembling bunny latching to her leg.
“Uh, so…you are Bunnie, right?” Lai Jiayi started their conversation with a smile on her face.
‘Smile, smile, can’t scare this poor being.’
But Yaya had a scary expression on his face. He sat on Lai Jiayi’s shoulder with his arms crossed in front of his chest. He glared at the poor Bunnie.
!
“Wah, I-i am sorry!!” Bunnie tugged her ears, hiding her face behind it. The rabbit then stayed still on Lai Jiayi’s palm. She was just trembling non-stop.
Lai Jiayi’s lips twitched. Her perfect gentle smile almost broke into a gleeful smile.
‘So cute!! What is this creature?! She’s so tiny and and– cute!!’
Lai Jiayi almost squeezed Bunnie to death. The girl gritted her teeth to control her emotion, but Yaya could see through the girl.
The duck suddenly slapped Lai Jiayi’s cheek while shouting, “Focus, quack! Don’t be fooled by her cute face!”
Yaya glared again at Bunnie.
This rabbit is really suspicious!
