My Second Life in Another World - Chapter 403: Jinx?
“So, did you have your talk with him?” Sang-ah looked at Haru when he asked that question, looking at his smile it was clear that even if he hadn’t heard them talk, he was sure that she had come to this side with Hae-in because she wanted to talk to Dok-ja.
Not to mention that Sang-ah would rather believe the latter part since it wasn’t like Haru to do something like eavesdropping on someone else, this was the type of image she had of him in her mind.
“…Yes,” Sang-ah nodded she had indeed had her talk and she was still thinking about it till now.
“You know that what he did wasn’t bad if you look at it from his viewpoint,” But Haru’s next words made her open her eyes wide.
“But Haru-ssi he…” Sang-ah nearly got heated but Haru calmed her down with a small smile.
“I am not saying it is excusable, but considering what was on the line I wouldn’t blame him since he had his own goal, and I respect that put his life on the line for it,” Haru said as Sang-ah looked at him, she couldn’t say anything back because she didn’t know what was actually happening.
Even then the real shocker was yet to come.
“I would do the same thing if the people I care for were in danger, I wouldn’t mind putting everything on the line for it,” Haru said as Sang-ah was truly stunned.
‘I didn’t… think about it that way,’ Sang-ah felt that Haru was fully serious when he said that, his words were equivalent to ‘I don’t mind doing anything to save the people I care about, even if it means betraying others.’

Even the Constellations took his words seriously and who he was talking about here was obvious even for them but…
‘Is Haru-ssi talking to her?’ It wasn’t hard for Sang-ah to get the image of Queresha when she saw Haru look at his phone with a smile after the notification went off.
And now that Sang-ah thought about this…
‘Doesn’t Queresha-ssi often stay awake the night since Haru-ssi left? And she was using her phone so…’ And while Sang-ah was in her daze Haru spoke to her.
“We are talking about the moving of this group tomorrow, it will take quite an amount of preparation, and then there is the upcoming catastrophe as well.”
“O-Oh, I see,” Sang-ah came out of her thoughts and looked at him for a bit.
Even if he said that there was no denying that there was something happening between them given how close the two were, but there was a chance that there might be nothing happening. So, Sang-ah thought she should…
“Haru-ssi…” Sang-ah did blush a little thinking about the question she was about to ask and…
“Hmm?” Haru tilted his head as he looked at her after sending a message to Queresha.
“…I was just thinking of heading back and getting some rest,” Sang-ah said with a smile as Haru looked at the time.
“Yeah you should rest, it is already 3 in the morning,”
“You too Haru-ssi, please rest properly,” Sang-ah said and Haru nodded with a smile, but it was clear to her that he wasn’t going to sleep today.
‘Was he talking about her when he talked about the ones he cared about? Or was it the group? If it is the latter then I…’ Sang-ah thought walking back as she came to a realization which caused her to shake her head furiously.
‘I am thinking about weird things here,’ Sang-ah’s blush got deeper but she quickly calmed herself.
She wasn’t sure why this even came to her since being a member of his group her job was to support him so that such a situation doesn’t come to pass, Haru was the type of leader she really respected, he was able to see positive even in the negatives and didn’t get blinded by his own views.
It was shown clearly how he dealt with Dok-ja and Gil-young’s case.
But that was the reason she felt that he would get into trouble…
‘I don’t want him to make such a choice where he has to harm others to complete his plans, I don’t want to see him that way,’ Sang-ah looked back and she could still see him standing by the gate.
‘But it is not like others will understand that, they’d try to take advantage of his boundaries, that’s why…’ Sang-ah looked at her own hands, the once soft hands were now callused from her intense training, there was only one reason for her to train that hard and that was…
‘I’ll do what I can so that an outcome like that doesn’t come,’ Sang-ah thought as he walked into the building but she suddenly jumped back and tried to look at the terrace of this 20-floor building.
“Was it just my imagination?” Sang-ah wondered if she was seeing things because of her fatigue.
“Haru-ssi was correct, I should rest,” With that Sang-ah went into the building not knowing that she wasn’t hallucinating…
“She is a problem as well,” Soo-young who was on the terrace muttered as she peeked down to see if Sang-ah was gone or not.
But at this moment she was thinking of something after seeing the exchanges Haru had with Gil-young and Sang-ah.
The former didn’t leave much impression on her since she couldn’t hear anything and she honestly didn’t care, but the latter one made her…
“What is this some romance novel? What’s up with these idiots frolicking around?” Soo-young frowned as she turned around.
“Well, that idiot does have the power and I need it, so I guess I’ll need to deal with these cringy scenes sometimes, beggars can’t be choosers after all,” Soo-young turned around and walked towards the door, she also needed some rest since she wanted to be prepared for any type of problems.
‘It would be great if none pop up though,’ Soo-young thought as she went to sleep in the room she got, the ones she was sharing the room with were on guard duty while she was done with hers, so now it was time to rest.
“I didn’t jinx myself, did I?” Soo-young sighed, and indeed…
She jinxed herself since a big problem popped up the next morning.
